You need the stock (never rooted) ROM and stock recovery to OTA update.
Did you covert to GPE with s-off and RUU, or was it GPE from the factory?

After converting One m8 to GPE

Hi Guys, need some help, i am kind of new to this stuff, i unlocked my m8 bootloader and then rooted and then install 4.4.3 GPE edition ROM from graffixnyc, now it works fine, interestingly it downloaded a system updated of 4.4.4 but when i click on install and reboot, it reboots in twrp and then nothing happens, any ideas how can i update.
I am s-on.
Also when i install 4.4.4 GPE Rom, it keeps restarting my phone so i reverted back to 4.4.3.
You need to have stock gpe recovery

We can assume your S-OFF cause you've stated trying to go back to Dev edition .
I would ruu the same GPE ruu you used or a newer one just to get back up and running.my opinion about the Dev edition lollipop is it's still no better than GPE lollipop if that's what you wish to return to Sense over.

[Q] Unable to install android 5.0 lollipop on my htc one m8!

I was running 4.4.4 kitkat on my htc one m8 with a cid no. of HTC__038 and the software no. - 3.35.720.1, s-on and booloader unlocked. I flashed TWRP recovery and rooted it then I unrooted it and installed stock recovery back again but it is still showing a modified tag in bootloader screen and I am unable to install lollipop on my phone as it gets stuck while installing in the installing screen. I used Hasoon2000's toolkit for this. Now, what should I do? Please help!

I know my opinion is not the most popular, but as long as 4.4.4 KitKat runs fine, I don't see a point of installing Lollipop at this time. When Sense 7 and Lollipop 5.1 will arrive, then hopefully it will be worth it.

i tried using the lastest version of TWRP but i cant access to recovery mode with it , i get the message " failed to boot to recovery mode "
my device is Sprint , unlocked bootloader rooted with SuperSu , S-ON
What did i do wrong ? Is there a guide how to go from ViperoneM9 3.5.0 to ViperOneM9 6.1.0 ?
You still need to do what I told you the last time.

Make sure that you are on the latest firmware of your sku and update TWRP to the latest version before you try flashing any newer viper version.

And according to your thread from last year's september you won't be able to do so without S-OFF.
