Right firmware for my S6? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

Hi All,
I recently bought a second hand s6 model G920P (as it said in the settings)... after a few hours of using it i started to realise it randomly restarts itself (network and sim card was working perfectly)!
So i figured i would re-install/flash the latest ROM as i figured it is maybe a software problem.
So i downloaded the latest G920P firmware from region: SPR (this is the only one i can find?): G920PVPU3BOL1_G920PSPT3BOL1_G920PVPU3BOL1_HOME.tar and installed this. However this is quite an annoying software as it keeps asking me to activate even though network and data are working fine!
To further complicate things, i the back of my phone says that model is SM-G920F! But when i try to flash F firmware (such as BTU or H3G) then the flash fails.
Unfortunately i havent gotten very far:
1) My phone still keeps randomly rebooting
2) What firmware should i be trying to install onto it?
Can you help with above problems ?
thanks in advance :highfive:

Where did you get the firmware from? Sammobile? here's a mirror for the latest .tar for the Sprint variant SM-G920P https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24343351889231947
Flash that and you should be good to go if it is in fact a 920P.

[Q] SHV-E370K modem flash issue

Hi All,
I'm having problem flashing modem rom to SHV-E370K (Korean version of I9195).
Originally I tried to flash full KitKat CM11 nightly rom. This went fine, but modem was not updated (baseband version stayed the same - E370KKKUANF1). Then I tried to flash european version I9195XXUCNF7 - no luck. Odin failed with "secure check fail sbl1". Flash with I9195XXUCNE6 gave me same result. Then I tried to update modem only by using flashing "Modem-I9195XXUCNE6.tar" via Odin - again I got secure fail (this time for modem). Finally I flashed back the most current Samsung rom (E370KKKUANF1_E370KKTTANF1_E370KKKUANF1_HOME) and tried flash either of those european modems onto this rom - same secure fail issue.
Now I have no idea if I can update modem at all until Samsung releases KitKat update specifically for this Korean version. From my perspective, it should not be a problem, as model is still I9195, and any rom and modem should be able to go in, right? I don't care if LTE works - all I need is regular calls, that's it.
The reason I want to update modem is constant signal loses - phone connection is up and down multiple times a day. I hoped that new firmware would help with that.
So, is there any way I can flash this phone with latest modem rom?
Thanks in advance for help!
P.S. I'm using this phone in US.

NEVER FLASH FIRMWARES/ROMs meant for one model number onto another. E370K is NOT A VARIANT OF I9195. It is one of the LTE variants of S4 Mini. I9195 is the international LTE S4 Mini that supports LTE bands in whole of europe, australia, parts of Asia and probably latin America.
SBL1 is a bootloader file and if you fail at that stage chances are you will hard brick the phone.
E370K is not I9195 and only flash ROMs/MODEMs/FIRMWAREs meant for that particular model number. Go to sammobile and download desired kitkat firmware by searching for sgh-e370k and if you want modem then extract non-hlos.bin and repack it as tar.md5 and flash as PDA/AP. GOOD LUCK.
Once again warning you not to flash I9195 modems onto other devices. You will potentially brick your phone.

Are you sure that E370K is not i9195? It is advertised as such, plus CM11 for i9195 installd on it with no problems. My understanding is that they are not different at all except that E370Khas LTE class 4 instead of class 3. Everything else (mobo etc) is very the same.

Invalid IMEI / not registered on network

Hey guys,
I am a new soul here after about a month of searching through this forum and google etc... I really need some help.
After I bought my GT-N7100 Samsung Galaxy Note II as a used phone, I flashed it through the official SmartSwitch (the new version of Kies) so I could get a fresh phone with stock firmware.
After that I used Galaxy_S Unlock app for a network unlock. At this point I think that the app didn't generate a backup of the efs folder (it told me it did, but then i found that my sd card was corrupted and had to throw it away - just my luck), and left me stuck with an invalid IMEI (the generic one 0049).
So I tried flashing the stock rom through Kies and SmartSwitch and flashing stock roms from sammobile, even tried downloading custom kernels, modems from xda, but nothing worked.
After all this, I have a full signal, unlocked phone (not asking about sim unlock or anything), but not registered on network. I think it is strange that it is showing me a full signal without a SIM car in the phone.
If anyone could help me out, that would be great.
Thank you in advance,
alexns89
P.S. I'm a newbie about the terms so please, be patient if I don't understand you.

Thanks for the reply.
I already did that and the 0049 imei still stands there I even tried downgrading from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 and still nothing

SOLVED - Unable to revert to full stock from Lineage 7.1.1

Hey!
I've got my wife's old GT-I9195I to play with, and its been running great on LineageOS 7.1.1 (14.1-20170313-Unofficial-serranoltexx) with kernel 3.4.113-gbf6ef2d-22422-g1d02b3d.
I was given a Gear 2 Neo the other day, and my actual phone is a crappy work provided iPhone so i cannot really connect the gear up to it. Brainwave - i thought i would just revert the S4Mini to stock and configure it all on it.
Using Odin and the newest rom downloaded in parts from http://fw.updato.com/ i have tried to blast it back to stock, but keep getting hit with the fused2 error.
Is there any way that i can get a stock rom back on this handset? More than happy running a custom kernel if needed, but just need to be running a samsung rom on this phone so i can get the Gear 2 Neo working
Cheers!
Tim
Solved - see post 4 for info
just searched around for fuse 2 error. and found some people getting those error while downgrading.
the solution they found is another region firmware with latest boot loader. and they were able to downgrade.
how about you try it. and download firmware from here.

my phone is a euro phone (although i am based in Australia), and i have tried both the original ROM and the Aussie ROM with no luck so far. i was getting the firmware files from either updato as mentioned in OP, or using the old SamFirmTool from right here on XDA. with that, i was able to download the individual files for Odin, including the PIT file but have still not had any luck.
Guess i will try another one for now
Cheers for the reply.
Success!
After downloading and trying 6 different regions, i have found one that works. TPD (Netherlands) was the key for me. (NOTE: i downloaded mine using the older SamFirmTool and downloaded the indivudual files instead of the single zip file. flashed with Odin v3.12).
For future visitors, my scenario was:
GT-I9195I (originally a euro phone delivered to Australia via Kogan online).
Tried:
GT-I9195I:
* XEF (France)
* LUX (Luxemborg)
GT-I9195H:
* PCT (Puerto Rico)
GT-I9195L:
* TCE (Mexico)
GT-I9195:
* PRO (Belgium)
GT-I9195T:
* TEL (Australia)
out of desperation, i went back to the GT-I9195I section, sorted by date again and started looking at CSC names. I noticed that the TPD (Netherlands) ROM had a higher revision, and i remembered that the CSC was responsible for the PIT information (i had that error come up a few times in my flashing adventure). Flashed the TPD ROM onto it no problems, and its fully booted in stock glory now.
Cheers,
Tim

Trouble installing stock firmware on samsung galaxy a5 2017 sm-a520f

I was trying to root my samsung galaxy a5 2017 with TWRP and I accidentally deleted system data. Then, I tried rebooting the phone and it got stuck in a bootloop. To fix this problem I tried flashing stock 8.0 firmware from sammobile via odin and I got this error:
Sw rev. Check fail. Device: 6, binary 5. I think that this means I have to flash the latest stock firmware but there isn't a newer one.
After that, I tried to use my phone by flashing a custom rom (Lineage 15.1) and I discovered that I have no imei,no baseband and no ip adress. I have installed many custom roms but the issue is still there. I am trying to get my phone to work with stock firmware and fix the IMEI issue but odin wont let me flash because of that error. I would appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks.
Flash a firmware version that contains S6 or U6 in the middle, it won't work with U5/S5! Not the Samsung phone S5 or S6, but rather, the firmware version.
For cellular, change the modem firmware, or backup and wipe /data/. /data/data/?.
Unless the efs was wiped (probably not if the baseband version isn't there, load a backup then, only if the efs was wiped don't restore it otherwise, and it must not be a backup created with an older twrp, view the recovery log in the backup folder)

Listen to me, it happened to me 2 days ago, and I came to the conclusion that I was not flash the latest firmware. You need to flash the same firmware with the same bootloader or more recent, the error you receive is because you are flashing an older version of bootloader. Do one thing, type the code *#1234# on the phone keypad
mark the code that gives you on 'AP and look it on Sammobile at https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-a5/SM-A520F/ITV/ select your language and look for the firmware with your own code . You will see that odin flash it.
Samsung A520F Custom Binary Error
Hello please I have been trying to reload my Samsung A520F firmware for a couple of weeks
It all started with the phone trying to update (over WIFI) and somewhere along the line files must have gotten corrupted
This led to the phone constantly restart and shutting down applications
I decided to just download the firmware and use Odin to reload. This, unfortunately, didn't go so well as now the phone isn't starting up anymore but can still get to download mode.
PDA firmware is A520FXXUACSE6
Region is EUR
Network is OPEN
every time I use this firmware I get the error
" Custom binary (BOOT) Blocked by FRP Lock
Please note currently at the moment phone refuses to boot up I read about removing OEM lock and don't know if this is the problem.
Please could you help out

Obviously you are frp locked. But I didn't think that blocked from flashing official.

[Network Issues]G975U1 Unlocked with broken network connectivity

Hey Guys, i totally messed up my phone. I've been using my U1 Unlocked S10+ in Bulgaria for a few months. The issue that kept bothering me is that i was down to LTE instead of LTE+ connection. I found that the Carrier aggregation is not properly working when using an US Phone in Europe. For the last couple of weeks i've been digging down the rabbit hole trying to figure out if there is a way to somehow make the CA actually working. I ended up in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/themes/snapdragon-carrier-aggregation-europe-t3888421 . Someone somehow managed to create this script for S7 that can actually turn CA on and use it to their full potential. All good but with my stupid head, i decided to run the script on mine and voala...... my network connection is gone. Further down the thread on a question of would it survive a Factory reset the answer was yes but not a full firmware reflash. So i downloaded my most current firmware from SamMobile and reflash the whole thing ( using CSC file for a full Wipe ) but that didn't do the job. On that same comment about wouldn't survive reflash was mentioned " especially for another carrier " so i downloaded G975U T-Mobile Branded Firmware and flashed it again with CSC and UserData files attached. Didn't do anything again. I Reflashed back to stock U1 but now i have fully unusable phone and i have no idea what to do to bring back the network connection. Is there anything that i am missing here and didn't already do to bring back my phone to life? Thanks in advance!

if you are SM-G975U OR U1
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572
1. Download this patched version of Odin
2. Then grab this modem file.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12JH7ObHxKTF3PBqyzh3Rqy7wvvJVg-o0/view?usp=drivesdk
3. The usual Samsung drivers installed, run admin privileges, download mode, yada,yada, flash in CP slot, when reboots it'll update your sim settings.
Supposed to be combo firmware but without token that's all it does although Odin claims success in flashing modem. It does not sim unlock the phone
