Let's clear up H818P's LTE frequencies (bands) - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there!
It would be great to have it cleared. Which LTE frequencies does H818-P support? Maybe a better question would be: Which LTE frequencies can you confirm to be working?
I am interested in bands 8 (900MHz) and 20 (800MHz).
Specs of the 818-P model on the internet tend to be very different. I've been also searching here on forums ... but I haven't found a clear answer.

I don't know to much about the various bands but using http://willmyphonework.net/ will tell you if it's compatible in your region and with which networks.

N7100 vs N7105 HSDPA+

I am not sure if I misread something last time that HSDPA+ on N7100 is slower than that on the N7105 ? Is this true? I can't seem to find info on google...
I believe it's called DC-HSPA+ Here's evidence from my device:

And if you're from the UK, hardly anywhere has LTE signal yet. Ridiculously over-priced, capped data. Three(3)s DC-HSDPA+ network is incredible like the guy says above this post. I strongly recommend it. I regularly get 8Mbs which is faster than many home broadband connections....
Don't be sold by adverts - do your research and save yourself a lot of money
yeah I bought an N7105 from orange network... £499 it comes with a free decent headphone... then I unlocked it and now using 3UK with unlimited internet... the signal is all over the place though, and I used to get a maximum 6mbps... but after I upgraded to 4.1.2, the data download went up to as high as 12mbps but its sporadic... still observing everything for now
edit: I bought the LTE version for future proofing, as I intend to keep the phone for at least 3 years...... that is if I don't get "upgrade-itis" because I am a sufferer...
I also have the 7105 LTE. Without LTE activated, my speed earlier today was:
That was my fastest to date with any device (Dell Venue, several different Blackberries, Samsung Jack, and Galaxy S III).

Yes, it's true. The N7105 supports 42Mbps Dual Carrier HSPA+ (As well as LTE), whereas the N7100 only supports HSPA+ up to 21Mbps.

Any D820/821 sort of thing with the new Nexus 5X?

I was wondering because last time I ordered the N5 I got the D820 (from the US) and it doesn't work with LTE bands in my country. Now, I ordered my phone from the UK. Are there any models for this phone like there was D820 and D821? Or is it like a general model that works with everything, everywhere?

Looking at the specs page, it does state two different versions: international and US. It may be just one model with different radios or two models. It isn't clear
H790 is US and H791 is international
Taken from the FCC filings
@Bei60 can I ask you which is your country/opetator?
I live in Italy and I've read here D820 should work as the D821(that I own), I read the H790/1 bands specs, but I don't know how to know what band(s) my (and the other national) uses.
I have the opportunity to buy a cheaper us device, but I don't want to risk connectivity/speed problems...
Here's my network info:

Those Bands are what HTC has on each phone. If you buy one of those Models those are the bands you will get.
Yes people have changed the bands on their phones, but GSM models as far as I've seen are just temporary. So If you bought a GSM model you will get the bands that HTC enabled. CDMA models apparently keep the bands people picked after a reset so if you buy a Verizon or Sprint model off someone on XDA, Swappa etc you have a low chance of getting one with tempered bands.
At the end of the day those are the bands each phone will have. However it never hurts to ask questions if getting a phone from someone who has been on XDA.

5G on Pixel XL 2?

I've only had my Pixel XL 2 for about a month. It was given to me and I know it's an older phone, but I like it a lot so I'm going to use it a while.
Anyway, playing around with the radios and APN's my phone says that there's access to 5G, but I didn't think this was a 5G phone. So is it possible to get 5G with the Pixel 2 XL? I'm on T-Mobile at the moment. We have 5G in our area with T-Mobile.
So like I said I'm curious if I can get 5G on this phone and why it says 5G recommended in my network options and why there's "NR" radio options in the radio/band settings menu.
Thanks for any insight into this!

No way you'll get 5G without the hardware.
That it shows in your settings must be a bug - probably a T-Mobile bug. It is not listed on my phone.

Sorry I've taken so long to reply to this. And yeah I thought the same thing also, that the SD 835's modem doesn't have the necessary hardware to get 5G. I have a Verizon SIM in my Pixel XL 2 now as of the time of writing this, and the NR option is still available in my radio menu. So idk if it's a T-Mobile bug or just a bug with my phone. It still gives me the option for 5G recommended in my system wifi/network/bluetooth menu also. But ya know, never connected to 5G so idk ya know? But thank you for replying!

Question Should I get Rog 6 on AT&T with root

Currently have a oneplus 9 with magisk root on AT&T. I've been using inlus phones for a long time now.
How are you US at&t users liking the rog 6? Any connection issues?
Root is a must for me but it's looks retry simple to root this phone. Thanks for any help!
As long as you get the US version you should be good. I've been using it for a couple weeks and get really good 5G coverage all throughout the midwest states. Previously I had the rog 5 flashed from CN>WW and it sucked so just make sure you're getting model AI2201.

I didn't have to change any APN settings I was able to just toggle 5G on luckily. Here are my defaults incase it helps you though.
