The LCD assembly I ordered came pre-assembled with a sim card reader. It didn't seem to be working. I tried using the old one as well, but got the same result even with multiple Sim cards. "No SIM Card detected". Has anyone else run across this. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can confirm it was working before. I checked all the ribbon cables and will recheck them again after work.

When both sim card readers didn't work I replaced the daughter board and that took care of the problem.

Thank you very much. I guess I'll do the same! No choice left. Still, I find this problem a bit weird. It was working just fine before replacing the screen.

Hi, is there any ways to change sim without reboot on Desire HD.
I'm changing them very often, but restarts are so long.
Any suggestions?
Hot reboot or switch off boot animation and bootsound if they are seperate.
Gotta ask, are you rooted?
Sent from a dream.
Hm.. good suggestions, but I'm recently returned to stock, because I don't have much time to update custom roms. Is there any tricks for stock?
Nope, phone shuts off after it detects a SIM removal.

I am told it can also fry your sim card to do this.
Nope, my SIM still works fine

For now it is. Removing and replacing SIMS while there is power being run to it and info being used not only has a chance of messing up your sim but it could also mess up your sim port, making it not read any sim card so be careful and you should always shut the device down before removing any cards from the device.

happened to me once. Had to get a new sim.
Reboot when SIM card inserted
Hi,
I am sorry, this is not really related to this problem, but I have a serious issue with my DHD concerning SIM card. Just yesterday I accidentally left my phone in my car when I went hiking. When I got back after few hours, the phone was really hot, I cooled it down a little bit and tried to turn it on. As soon as I entered my PIN code, phone rebooted. I though it might be because it was still too hot, so I let it sit for a while, then tried it again. Same thing happened. After few tries I found out, that this onle happens, with SIM card inserted and the phone reboots just as it finds reception. Phone works fine without SIM card inserted. I tried factory reset and re-installing currnet ROM. Is there anything I could do to fix this or I have to take the phone to shop.
Thanks for answers
I would try a new sim card before I tried a repair. Sim cards are actually kind of fragile.

I tried two different ones. The other one is definetely fine. It wasn't in a car, I used it in the same phone before and it is two weeks old, so I am afraid it is a phone issue.
Sounds like. Sorry to hear. Could be the sim port.

Sounds like that, hopefully they will be able to do something about it in the shop.
Im sure they can. The thing I never figured out on the DHD, was how to get it apart.

Yeah, hopefully it won't be too expensive. I just asked if someone had the same issue and they fixed through software co I could fix it ASAP. I am on vacation right now, so having no phone is pretty nice, but there are still some situations where you need one. Thanks for tips anyway:good:
Hello,
Yesterday i got this little beast (c1905) and i have a strange problem that i believe it is hardware related.
When i touch the area of the sim card either with the cover on or off the phone tells "Sim card removed. Restarting." and it is rebooting. The sim card fits well and by observing the area i can't see any fault. It is a little annoying when i use the phone in horizontal mode where sometimes unconsciously i put some pressure in that area.
Is this a known issue or mine is problematic? Anyone faced anything similar?
Any idea how i can solve this?
If i don't find anything that can help me i guess i will have to go back to the store and ask them to fix it or replace it...
Rather than that i really like the phone.
P.S. My sim card is new, i had the normal sim so with the phone i replaced my sim card as well.
I am having the same problem.
i thought because i rooted my device that is why it happened..

My phone don't read my micro SD Card. The card is good since I tried 4 different ones and they work on my wife s4. It may be a hardware issue. But looking for another solution. Anybody have any idea what could I do to fixed? I tried 2gb.4gb but none work in mine s4.

Have you tried a factory reset or flashing a different ROM?
Goodmorning and Merry Christmas to everyone!
Suddenly my GPS SLOT is going crazy, sometimes it reads the microsd and sometimes it doesn't.
I tried different cards and the result is always the same. I was wondering if someone knows how I can change it and which one I should buy.
I've seen many types on aliexpress but, as I said, donno which one choose.
My head unit is a EONON G2110F.
Thank you to everyone who will help me!

I might be having a similar issue. I noticed mine would not mount, and sometimes it would mount. I got it working now, but It has been acting up the past few days. I have a joying brand. I emailed joying to see what is going one, mine unit is under warranty.

Hello kehadamus, SD Formatter works for me, have you tried a other SD Card thats format with the program SD format?
i hope it works for you.
Peter
So I have issues with the SD card in the SIM tray.
The SD card spring appears to be faulty and is pushing the tray a bit.
Anyone else has issues with SD card ?
Also is there a locking mechanism for SD card?
Because I don't think the SIM tray is strong enough to hold the SD card + spring.

I haven't noticed any issues with mine. My phone is in a case but I've just had a fiddle with it now and the tray is absolutely fine - it stays in place nicely.
If you do have a problem with yours, I'd suggest getting in touch with Sony and getting it fixed under warranty.

Yeah it appears to be faulty.
The spring and lock which should keep SD card in place is not working.
Will see how to get it fixed.

It depends where you are, of course, but you should be able to take it back to the shop you got it from and they'll sort it out. Or contact Sony directly.

Update: The spring and latch started working after 6-7 attempts.
With the SD latched perfectly, this is working awesome.
