Odin flashes successfully but booting leads to a light blue android screen, and I cannot get to recovery. At the very least I would like to flash over the renegade screen, so i can get it replaced.
Any help?

White "Samsung" text on boot after flashing stock rom from custom cyanogen mod.
I had Cyanogen mod installed and was having a lot of glitches/freezes. I downloaded and installed the stock ATT rom (UCDLK3) and flashed it to my device following these steps.

After doing so, I am stuck on bootup with white "Samsung" text.
I found this thread which had a suggested answer, but my phone won't boot into recovery mode. When I try to boot into recovery mode, i see small text at the top that says "Recovery rebooting...", but then it flashs "Samsung" quickly, then goes back to being stuck with the white "Samsung" text.
How do I boot into recovery mode to wipe/data that may be preventing me from booting properly?
Ok what phone do you have? This is the forums for the L710 Sprint phone that link you posted is for a different S3. Hopefully you haven't bricked your phone. And that second link you found is for an HTC phone. Your all over the place.

So I was about to flash a ROM (viperone), and while I was in aroma I went to the "flash stock kernel" setting and did that, because I felt it probably wouldn't hurt. Well, turns out it broke my phone's ability to boot into recovery, from what I can tell. I can enter fastboot and I tried reflashing the recovery but it still won't go to it when I select that setting. What happens instead is it flashes to the HTC screen then it goes black for a few seconds, then it goes to the bootloader screen (where it has the red message) and it just sits there forever. Did I just completely brick my phone by doing this?
Actually scratch that, I managed to fix it by flashing the GPE RUU. Now I just hope I can figure out how to switch it back to stock at some point.
Was rooted, and tried to flash MIUI v5 4.8.8. Couldn't do it. So, after reading MIUI forums, they said cannot flash their rom with a touch recovery (TWRP), so I tried to re-flash CWM, wouldn't work. Tried CWM through Odin, nada. Then the phone was in a Samung logo screen, (black and white), and stayed there. So I opened Odin, and reflashed a stock rom UCUNE5 (which worked once before), and Odin said it passed, but when it rebooted, it stayed on that black and white samsung logo. I tried to do it again, and it passed again, but it will not get out of this screen. I cannot get to recovery, it stays on that screen. The only thing I can do is go into download mode, but nothing seems to be working. Have I bricked it beyond repair?
I finally rooted my phone and upon my second boot into the system after installing the ios 11.2 emojis like i always do the phone just isn't bootng. Stuck on a black screen with just the charging led lit up now. I can access recovery still and my computer is recognizing the phone as QHUSB BULK when its on the black screen. What to do? Tried factory restting from recovery already, trying to download the unbrick tool now but i have the slowestwifi in the world at the moment
dirty flash stock rom that is a soft bricboot into bootloader then recovery and reflash stock OOS rom and you are good to go
I was trying to flash back to my stock carrirer rom and now my phone is bootlooping, it was a failed odin firmware flash, now it kept rebooting on the samsung logo, then i held volume up,bixby and power, and now it just reboots on to the blue firmware screen then yellow error logo then some text scrolling up from the bottom on black screen. Just keeps repeating that. Any suggestions?

do you know what bootloader revision you were on? what carrier is it? can you still get to download mode? if you can get to download mode, then you are still in good shape. Plug it in to charge it as Odin flashes like the battery to be over 50%.
Also, when flashing carrier specific Odin files, sometimes you have to use a modified version of Odin. I just ran into this the other day when i was trying to un-Cricket-ize my S9.
Where did you get your firmware from?
tons of questions, i know. but if you can provide this stuff, i (if not WE) should be able to get you back in business
