Hi I have the S6 920p
Is it only me that has no option in the pull down menus to enable mobile data..had it on all my other Samsung devices..
Is there away to add one from somewhere? I have tried the edit option but there is no mobile data to select..plus none of the widgets from Google play seem to work...
Cheers

maybe this makes more sense to you. :fingers-crossed:
unzip, install, run, add toggle. done.
after that you could uninstall the app for good. just once needed.

If your like me and don't want to root your S6 because you'll lose Samsung Pay, then you can re-enable the mobile data toggle using one of the two apps in the thread below. The Samsung Quick Panel Restore did not work for me, but the other app did. I installed it, enabled it, then uninstalled the app and the mobile data toggle remained. I'm not sure how they do it without root, but it worked.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61418555
Another neat non-rooted app is the Galaxy Button Lights which can be found in the Google Play Store.

Guys
I've searched about this issue and couldn't find a proper answer. My note 2's ringtone starts low and ascends. It seems it's a feature with all galaxy phones. Is there any way to disable it ? (preferably without rooting)
Yes there are ways to disable it (such as using Xposed framework). And yes these ways require root access. If there is a way to disable this without root, I'd like to be corrected, but AFAIK there isn't.
Search in the play store for ;
"Disable Increasing Ring" from Shumoapp

No root = no android system mods
This is a simple equation, if you want to override this ascending ring tone feature you should be a root user

It worked but the problem is it gives me an invisible icon on status bar all the time which there doesn't seem to be a way to disable it

Just wanted to know if it's possible via root or not
That's very interesting. Didn't know that there is an app that doesn't require root access to achieve this.

Try this. Go to Settings > Application Manager > Scroll down until you find the app then click on it and Untick "Show Notifications". If that doesn't work then the app requires to be present in the notification bar in order not to be killed by the system.

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a way to modify the notification icons like reordering it or adding new icons(ie driving mode) to it.

Are you talking about the status bar icons like wifi, 3g, and time or the notification that pop up from different apps that your using??

Its the notification/status when you pull down and you have the wifi, gps, bluetooth, screenrotation that you can toggle on/off.
If your referring to the icons in the drop down menu yes you can reorder them and choose which ones you want to show by simply going to quick settings if you are rooted.

No one can help with this?
It has to be built into the rom for you to be able to customize it through a UI...otherwise you would have to go into the code itself and add it manually

I'm not running any rom, my phone is stock but just rooted. I also don't mind going into the code and doing it there if someone would point me in the right direction.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210942
Can anybody point me in the right direction for editing the power toggles in the notification bar? I've noticed that the galaxy S4 from T-mobile has the data toggle removed and i would like to add it back so that i completely eliminate the need to install 3rd party apps just for that toggle. If anybody knows what files i need to edit or a link to a good guide for this phone, i would greatly appreciate it, have a good day and thanks in advance for anybody helping.
PS - If i manage to get this done, i might even make a flashable zip with that addition included.
I would love to see that

I believe you are going to want to look in /system/appsystemui.apk
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 2
I think some of the custom TW ROMs have the data toggle added back in if I'm not mistaken. So you might just be able to pull the elements form another ROM and insert them into the stock one. (Or just flash one of the custom ROMs)
Cyaogen definitely has it included so if you can,t find it pure made for the stock TW ROM you can at least get the elements you'd need from CM.
Good luck!
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.
Any mea rom has it

The other toggle you can include is the " Brightness; "
The Brightness toggle is excellent, it's not how it used to be where it was off/on/auto etc.
This one displays a slider with auto option in it.............
Really nice!
---
I Am trying to get rid of the original brightness slider bar beneath the toggles...........
If anyone knows a way to remove it I would appreciate it a lot.

Do you have "Plug & Pop" FC message each time you plug in USB cable or other accessories? (check attachment)
Did you install Xposed framework?

This mod will fix "Plug & Pop" FC and you can see again bottom animation on your device. This is the one and only thing it does.
I have international D802, but I think it should work on all variants. Any feedback is welcomed. Enjoy!
If you don't want to use Xposed Framework, you might want to give a try to @xdabbeb apk version here.

I don't have such issue. First what I got in mind is that your cable have broken data wires, so it allow only charging. Can you manually change it to MTP connection in settings and it work?

Yeah, he should check that cable. I'm using few different data cables and no problem here.
This LG Plug & Pop tool show animation when:
USB data cable
Headphones
Dock station
are plugged in. After that bottom animation finished, it call other related application activity. So issue lays in Settings App, why that selections are not shown.

I am using it with GMD, does the job perfectly. (I his my nav bar and used edge gestures in place of buttons)
Thanks so much dev!! I previously resorted to setting the nav bar height to 1% but that created a lot of problems.
Do you happen to have a fix for double tap on the clock quick window widget? After I disabled the stock player, double tapping on the clock doesn't turn it off but double tapping on the weather one does :/

You can post your quick view issue in own thread, either here or in [Q&A]. I don't want to promise anything, but maybe I could have a look.
So let's discuss it somewhere else.
Installed and working perfectly on VS980 (Verizon). Also works with LMT without issue. Thanks for this!!
Forgive my ignorance, but does this only work if you completely remove nav bar? I just shrunk mine by 20% and get plug n play close. Will this work for me? Or is that a feature that could be added?
After flashing stock marshmallow through odin on sprint SM-N910P "thethring and wifi hotspot" option disappeared from the menu i have tried every other possible solution out there on the web but same result any help would be greatly appriciated.
I also have a question.
I'm on stock 5.1.1 and Tethering and Wifi Hotspot don't seem to work for me. I can enable Wifi Hotspot on phone but the device is not discoverable by other devices. Does this have something to do with Tethering and Hotspot being locked by the carrier?

same boat here. I've tried ##DATA# and installed tx_ hotspot mod, but still couldn't get hotspot back. Please help.
I formatted data and system, restored an old backup, got the toggle and settings back... they disappeared again so I repeated the steps and the they didn't come back again.
for now, a (dirty) workaround is:
1. install Activity Launcher from Google Play
2. change the menu to All Activities
3. scroll down to Settings and tap it
4. scroll down to Hotspot and long-press it
5. tap Create Shortcut
you will now have access to the normal Hotspot settings from your home screen where you can enable/disable/adjust it.
Activity Launcher will need to stay installed but it's a vey small app and you can hide it from your App Drawer.
