For the "Upgrade stopped due to an error", I had just struggled with it for four hours, and won. I believe it could be that the kdz file had been corrupted during downloading, then I remember that I have an older version kdz, choosed it then voila, I'm back to stock.
hey in download mode you can not flash stock rom the kdz is not corrupted i have same problem and i have tried different versions of kdz but non of them worked
ive got the same problem, so is there any help for that?

Hi, I was searching info and I found this, i don't know if can work to solve the download mode problem reflashing the firmware. http://www.lgmobile.co.kr/lgmobile/front/download/retrieveDownloadMain.dev Where it says Optimug G Pro Upgrade, click in the option "U+" that is the AKA of the F240L. I don't understand the characters, it seem korean or something like that, but there it is a info about the LG Suppot tool, i think with this program can download the tot file or flash directly with an internet connection.
I was searching for a kzd flash for lg optimus g pro series but i can't found a easy software tool for this purpose. But in this link is the KDZ Firmware files for your version http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25

You just destroyed your firmware, hope you back up your phone regularly because every data on that device is now gone. On the brighter note, since you know how to flash the rom, all you have to do is flash the device correctly and you should be good.

Unfortunately there is no root etc for Lollipop yet... however you can do what I did and follow this guide to go back to stock (KitKat) and root and install recovery and custom rom from there:

Have found that I need to downgrade to KitKat, and have found this. http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/
Does it matter which file I get? I'm in the UK, 16GB D855.
I see:
UK 16G D85510A_00.kdzUK 16G D85510A_00.kdz
LGD855AT-00-V10b-HKG-16G.zipLGD855AT-00-V10b-HKG-16G.zip
LGD855AT-V10e-EUR-16G.zipLGD855AT-V10e-EUR-16G.zip
EDIT: Just realised, the bottom two are TOTs. I just need KDZ, so going for the top file.

Did you have any problems with the LG Flasher?
After "Software Extraction" it says cannot connect to server. Though it looks like it is doing something in the background. Then around 50% it stops due to an unknown error.
Now I'm stuck in download mode.
I knew something like this would happen! ARGH

Many times a phone becomes a brick because the tutorial "how to flash" was underestimated, people read them too fast, download any file, install everything randomly, everything very fast.... and later, oh... I ruined my phone!
Not saying that was your case, but it won't hurt you if you take a look again to the tutorials, and others fails and solutions.
Good luck!

Cazzo... did you try the search box?
Doesn't matter. If I already lost a minute writing that, I can also advise you...
Flash V20p.kdz with LGUP. Don't forget you need to use the right .dll for the phone to be recognized.
If you use the search box you'll find what you need.

If you're stuck in LG logo boot up, just try to start LGUP (having the right files), connect the phone to a USB2 port and start the process.
Today, after try the RR ROM, I re-install v29a with TWRP but got stuck on the LG logo boot up, I just disconnected the phone from the computer, turned ON LGUP, connected the phone, was detected as it should and re-flash the v20p.kdz again. No problem... try it.
