Marshmallow Manual Camera Problem - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated my LG G4 H815 to Marshmallow a week ago and noticed that any picture I take in Manual mode now results in a noisier/grainier picture (doesn't matter if it's RAW+JPG or simply JPG) compared to Auto mode or Lollipop Manual mode.
In Lollipop, this was not the case and googling this problem did not turn up any results. Anyone facing the same issue with Manual camera pictures in Marshmallow?

Just to update, I downgraded back to Lollipop and the issue remains...

"Camera can't connect" error message after OTA update to Lollipop

Guys,
I received and installed OTA update for my LG G3 D855 (2/16gb) to V20E-eur-XX couple of days ago.
Phone is NOT rooted.
I'm not happy with update. Everything seems to be lagging more and more and on top of that, I can't start camera at all. When I tap onto Camera icon, I get "Camera can't connect" error.
Please, help me, I'm very mad on LG right now.
Thank you in advance.

Just wipe data/factory reset it. Hope it helps you. If not root and install a custom rom like S3V3N !
Thx, scamex. Both proposed solutions are valid, but I would like to hear some other, bc factory reset is a pain and I don't know if that'll work.
On the other side, I don't want to root.
same issue here. after taking few pictures and video. it suddenly says cant connect to camera even i switched to google camera.
i just restarted the phone and the camera now works.

Freezed focus camera issue

Hi guys,
I've got a strange issue on my z1c running newest lollipop. While trying to make any photo, the view is very blurry, after pushing camera button, phone tries to get focus, but it is freezed, and view is constantly blurred, so the phone does not take any photos.
Please help :crying:
Exact same problem here, I was just about to open my own thread about this!
My phone is a brand new Z1C (Amazon); came with .108 firmware and the camera worked fine, decided to upgrade to .270 (via the PC Companion software), and now I'm experiencing the exact same problem!
Would a possible solution be to flash the system/kernel of a working .242 or .270 ftf using flashtool?

LG G4 818p Dualsim Frontcamera problem after Update

Hey there,
yeah, after updating to firmware V10f-AME-XX the frontcamera of my G4 has stopped working. Notification is: Unfortunately, the camera has stopped. The camera opens, but then, after two seconds, the screen freezes and the notification appears.
Any suggestions? I was thinking of flashing back to another firmware, but to be honest, i have no idea how to do this and above all, find the correct firmware for the LG-818p
Thanks for helping me...

Major Camera Problems

I have a stock Zenfone2. I updated to the latest firmware a couple days ago. Snapchat began being choppy and laggy when switching between front and rear camera. Then this morning, My front view (selfie) camera has stopped working. It just shows black. Any ideas how to fix it? Any suggestions would be great?
Edit: now both cameras have stopped working. Wtf
So if i attempt to switch from rear camera to front facing one. It freezes and shuts down the app. Then when I reopen either camera or Snapchat, it won't work. After a couple powers down, the rear camera starts working again.
Everything was working fine before last Asus update. Is there any way to rollback the update? Should I attempt a hard reset? Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.

download the firmware for your device Z00A or Z008 and flash it through adb.

Should update upload same firmware or the previous firmware? I have the ZE551ML, so it would be the Z00AD firmware, correct? Have only done the OTR updates so far.
have you clear your cache. if you did try to factory reset it. i know it takes a long time to set everything again but it fixed my issue

camera app crash and reboot phone

Hello all,
I rooted my G4 ( h815, rooted v10b ) with this tricks : http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/root-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765
All was perfect, until one day, my camera sometimes didn't launch and make reboot my phone.
So I decided to update my phone to MM. ( so I unrooted the phone and update it with lg bridge )
But the probelm is still here under MM !
There is 3 sort of possibilities when I launch the camera :
- the camera work
- the camera app crash
- the phone reboot
After a reboot of the phone, the camera always work. But after sometimes it crash again and I need to reboot.
What do you think of that ?
Thanks.
Same here
I am having exactly the same problem.
I had not rooted my phone, it started happening after the MM upgrade.
Another upgrade came out recently and it seems to happen far less so I am convinced it is software related.
Did you have any luck with finding a solution.
Thanks
Hello,
I didn't have another upgrade, I'm on v20d.
The problem is still here and now it happens really often.
I'm sending it now for reparation, but I hope they will fix it and not just hard reset the phone....
