When i purchased mine (in the US), there was no charger included. My wife's moto g didn't come with one either. I don't think the 1st generation even has an original charger.

Lol..... even my one too...hahaha

My Moto G don't had a charger in the box.
The charger was only included in a few countrys.

I had no charger to, think only a few country's had that.
But any 5V 1A (1000mA) good one will work just fine.

Great Battery chargers

Do u have any suggestion for such 2amp chargers?

I don't know which branded tab's are available in ur country. even any chinese low end set, charger gives true amp. its hard to believe that amazon basic charger I've bought that didn't give as they told.

If you're in the UK and are a cheapskate, then the POUNDLAND charging plug and a decent USB cable would suffice, and it would only cost £2-£4 in total.
If you're still skeptical about the build quality of these, then check these two videos out:

I have 2 Moto G's - one purchased in Canada, where I live, and another I bought in India. The India one's charger got damaged, but I only used it in emergencies as it had low amperage (350 mA). I just use my PC with the USB cable from the other one (200 mA), or the charger from my Motorola two-way radios which can charge both at the same time (500 mA each), but if you want to, you can ask Motorola Support where to get one. I believe you can contact them through Motorola's Device Help app, but I'm not sure as the chat function won't work in Canada, though it did in India.

A question to U.S. Americans with the unlocked (european) Touch Pro2's

Non of the Touch Pro2's I've seen sell with a U.S. charger or atleast they don't say so. Where did you guys buy your U.S. house charger for your Touch Pro2?

it charges by USB in your laptop or desktop, and the same charger you use with your X1 will work on the TP2, it is a very common charger, you can get it anywhere.
Check the markings on the TP2 charger. If the input says:
100-240V
then you have a worldwide/multi-voltage charger (like those used by notebooks) and all you need then is an plug adapter to plug into your wall socket - it will adjust to US voltage automatically.
PS. My TP2 charger supports multiple voltages, as are all chargers that came with older HP/O2/Dopod/HTC PDAs/phones I own.
I found these at ebay. Are these the one you are talking about? These ( charger & Cable) are the same that came in the HTC box.
You can buy them in the HTC store: http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=179160

i wonder why htc doesn't have an official store in US ..
Doesnt it use a standard HTC mini-usb, so wouldnt a Tilt/Fuze (touch pro) charger work with it? Might be able to find that in a cell shop or Best Buy.
your right. I use my fuze wall charger and my old razr car charger. It's just the mini usb plug
Any old HTC chargers you have will work fine. RAZR chargers not too well. The HTC chargers output 1A while the RAZR chargers I believe are less than 500mA. They will charge the phone, but slowly.
Many chargers use the standard mini USB (type A) plug alright, but, unlike a standard USB port on a computer which churns out 500mA, they often generate more power for speedier charging - all Dopod/HTC chargers I have generate a 5V, 1A output. I don't have RAZR, so that's an exception
But, I think what poetryrocksalot is asking originally is that (and correct me if I'm wrong) he is worried the charger out-of-the-box won't work with US mains voltage since Europeans operate at a higher voltage than their friends across the Atlantic - it should work fine if the charger is a multi-voltage one.
are the plugs even the same?

yea but then you have to plug more crap in, and remember the adapter when you travel lol. Oh well. Least there are plenty of online placed to buy the U.S. wall chargers.
I agree. If one doesn't travel beyond US or Canada, getting a US wall charger is more aesthetically pleasing in the long run.

The NAM 3g bands haven't been released in a Touch Pro 2. Once the AT&T and T-Mobile versions come out, you should be able to buy an unlocked one with the NAM 3g.

OEM Charger and USB cable

Does anybody know where I can find the OEM Nexus 5 charger and USB cable? The original charger that came with my N5 was misplaced a long time ago (a relative came to visit and took it with them, thinking it was theirs) and I've been stuck with crappy chargers and crappy cables ever since. All the regular USB cables charge at a snail's pace, all the chargers I find don't seem to work either. I'm sick of trying to find a replacement, I'm sick of waiting 4-6 hours for my phone to fully charge. I just want the ORIGINAL OEM charger and cable. No more messing around, no more hoping that I'll get lucky every time I buy a random charger/cable off the internet. I just want the original.
Thanks.
Im pretty sure the charger and cable is exactly the same as the LG G2 so try looking on ebay.

Genuine BB cables work fine for both the N7 2013 and N4/N5 in my experiences (having owned them all and using BB cables to charge them across various different types of chargers).
As for the charger, I'm using an HTC one that outputs 1A @ 5v and it seems very good, charge time is in the 2-3 hrs depending on how low the battery is. I also use different wall chargers (like the Antec 20A quad charger and the Targus 3.1A dual charger) and car chargers (generic 1A chargers from dx.com) and they charge the phone very well.
I think this is the stock charger equivalent and cable equivalent
http://www.wirelessground.com/lg-usb-travel-charger.html
http://www.wirelessground.com/lgusbdata.html
@up
Cable linked isn't equivalent. Bought two of those thinking it was the same. It has AWG28 charging wires, therefore it allows maximum of 800-900mA, where stock cable with the right charger would give you twice more.
I'm using Galaxy S4 charger (2A output) and S4 cable at work and it charges my N5 even faster than the OEM charger (takes about 90 minutes to fully charge from 20%).

Well the stock N5 Charger is a 1.2A charger the S4 Charger is a 2A charger so it'll charge higher.
I decided to do a little fact finding of my own when I was looking at MmmmBacon's Tilted Charger review and he mentioned the difficulty of having a good USB cable. I have several different chargers and cables at my disposal and did a quick test on them. I will try to see about organizing them into a post but I don't really have the time to keep updating it past my initial findings.
But what I have so far is.

Stock HTC Charger (model: TC U250) w/Black Berry Cable=Listed as 1A/ Current Widget lists: ~900mA

Sierra Wireless Charger (Was for an old Wi-Fi hotspot, Don't have the hotspot anymore but have the Charger) (Model: SSW-2012A) Stock Cable = Listed as 1.2A/ Current Widget lists: ~1.1A
Sierra Wireless Charger (Model: SSW-2012A) Black Berry Cable = Listed as 1.2A/ Current Widget lists: ~1.0A
Sierra Wireless Charger (Model: SSW-2012A) Stock htc Cable = Listed as 1.2A/ Current Widget lists: ~1.0A

Older Blackberry Charger (Model: PSM04A-05RIM(NY)) Hardwired Cable = Listed as 700mA/ Current Widget lists: ~600mA
That's just what's around me at the moment. I tested some stuff at home and found interesting results as well.
MmmmBacon also mentioned the Monoprice Premium USB Cables are a good buy and provide high current. I can't vouch for that but I'll take his word for it since he seems to have done this as well.

No matter how high the amperage output of a charger, anything that has output of 1.6A and above will charge N5 equally fast, since Nexus throttles input amperage to 1650mA, and that is only if you don't use any apps that will get your phone warmer. If your battery temperature reaches 45°C, Nexus will throttle charging amperage to 500mA untill battery cools down.
Anyway, fully charging your Nexus 5 with that maximum amperage takes about 90 minutes from 20%.

Any compatible charger recommend?
Not over heat? Works as the original?

So, I was able to just toss it on one of my Qi compatible chargers I had and it seemed fine, I didn't notice any overheating or anything, I'm pretty sure all the Qi chargers charge at about the same power level.
Well you're wrong there are qi chargers which are not compatible you need to read some posts about

That said, the 'approved' chargers aren't really that expensive anyway and can be purchased from any best buy.

The one I have is a no-name brand one I got back in June 2013.. This one looks like it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item2a44915bdb
I also noticed though, if you feel more comfortable with a product that they advertise works with moto 360 (again, I'm not sure why one wouldn't and I hadn't heard of certain ones not working), if you search ebay for 'moto 360 qi charger', you'll get a number of chargers in the $20 range, like this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item3398079e15
I can say that the Nokia D900 and the Choe Wireless one from Amazon work just fine.

How do I get an original charger for the N5X?

I ordered mine from a store in the UK. Everything is great only that I use an adapter for the wall charger and it's bulky and uncomfortable. Also, there are some plugs in my home that aren't charging my phone for some reason. I figured I need an original charger, but I can't find one. We have different wall plugs in Europe.
I love the fast charging and I don't want to give that up.
My charger says: Model MSCN04UR
Input: 100/240V 50/60Hz 0.5A
Output: 5.0V ==- 3.0A
Any ideas on what I can order?

Hey mate, i'm looking at getting this too. Did you have to buy the official USB C cable for it to work? I can't work out what the requirements are for the cable in order to get SuperVOOC 2.0 speeds. Just curious as i bought a standard USB C cable (one in the box is too short IMO) and although I had it plugged into the SV2.0 charger I couldn't get it to charge at SV2.0 speeds
The cable has to be the official one, because it's the only one that has [email protected] Most other cables have 5A. I also looked in China but couldn't find any that has these specs, yet.
I have also bought this charger and it is Super Vooc charger, meaning it is not 2.0 version, I use it with original cable, but the speed difference is not huge, it still charges fast enough.

hello

The SuperVOOX car charger its only 7.99 pounds in the OPPO official website, but it seems to be permanently out of stock.
Now, accidentally I found they are selling a bundle of the supervooc car charger + supervooc cable for 18 pounds, I think it´s a great deal so I bought it last weekend and it should arrive soon, heres the link:

The funny thing with this is that the bundle is not listed in the web in the accessories or in any other part, you can only find it if you search for something related like "car" or "supervooc"
I also chatted with them asking about the car charger being out of stock and they didnt tell me about this bundle...

not sure if it will be any good but the reviews of the product seem to indicate that it is in fact the real deal, i personally need the super fast charging as i drive since it takes me 30 minutes to get to work super fast charging would be ideal.
anyway i have decided to buy an inverter for the car to use the one that came with the phone for now, but it would be nice to have a proper car charger without all the extra mess them wires are going to be making.
USB type-C cables don't have to be OEM but they do have to be the right standard (& the standards get added to frequently so get an up-to-date cable), Qualcom PD/QC is much more common than Mediatek VOOC & they work in completely different ways.
VOOC pulses the power wires to communicate between charger/cable/phone (all 3 have chips) whereas PD/QC communicates via the data wires.
The result of this communication is different too, VOOC leaves the line at 5V & just changes the current [Edit]it seems SuperVOOC can also select 10V[/Edit] but PD/QC selects between various Voltage/current combinations & can get up to 20V.
If communication fails completely the charger defaults to 5V & max 2.1A with the phone deciding how much current to draw.
The previous micro-USB fast-charge standard is different again, it uses a plain cable & just communicates between phone & charger to select 2.4A, 3.1A or 4.2A vs the default max 2.1A

Brilliant thank you, I have ordered the one in the first link as it actually mentions super vooc but I can't see it mentioned on the second one, it comes tomorrow and I will update you on how it goes, thanks again

So, any feedback or review?
yes apologies i completely forgot to let people know, so basically the item works well and the phone tells me it is charging at super vooc 2.0 speeds, however I've used the app ampere and its definitely not as fast as the wall plug version but is certainly fast enough, also I'm not using the stock cable that came with the phone as that didn't seem to work very well with the charger so instead I'm using another one of my cables which is a volutz cable, i wasn't actually aware it would work since i bought it for another phone but seems to work really well, so all in all i would highly recommend the charger as it seems to be the best option for on the go and is certainly cheap enough.
