Which is the best rom for zenfone 2 550ml?
Share your opinion too.....
no such thing as a best rom, its all user preference. i prefer superzen for my asus based, and cm13 for aosp based
I will personally say STOCK Rom is the best....I have tried all the major roms based on Android 6 all are in alpha phase .
CM13 latest nightlies, hands down, top notch performance, way better than stock

There is no best ROM.
Every ROM has it own taste.

Many ROMs have lost functionalities of the note 2. Some son have HDMI out . I have tried resurrection remix the mm and the nougat . the nougat has no xposed .
The eclipse was my previous ROM I think I would go back to eclipse until RR team fix their nougat
I'm also looking for a good rom for my note 2 (4.1.2)
based on my searches, since there isn't much differences between marshmallow and nougat, I think DITTO NOTE 7 FOR NOTE 2 (6.0.1) is a good option too
I don't which is more stable: DITTO NOTE 7 FOR NOTE 2 or ResurrectionRemix v5.8.3
any help?

Ditto note 7 is a kitkat rom not mm. No touchwiz rom can be on mm, rom makers just add mm platlogo mod to thier rom so the android version is shown to be mm(as thier rom is mm style, they modded the platlogo to mm as well)... And here you have to decide weather you want touchwiz or aosp.
For me , eclipse is better than ditto note 7. Although i didnt tried dn7 but after watching some videos on YouTube i think that dn7 is purely based on theming ,the base is old dn4 . You can also see the original dn4 in some apps as theming is not fully applied. I used eclipse for about 2-3 months and was really impressed by its battery life and looks of a modern samsung touchwiz. Maybe dn7 would work good but not as good as eclipse.
And Resurrection remix is not in good condition as it has not been updated for a while and have some bugs. So i recommend Xenon hd or nuclearom or AiCP . These have been the top players for note 2 recently as they are being updated very frequently.
Aicp is updated everyday(nightlies), XenonHD got an update yesterday and nuclearom was about a week ago. For me xenonhd got best the battery life, aicp has customizations (like rr) and nuclearom is most minimal .
Thats all i had

Thanks Gurkanwal for your valuable information
I just got more confused with new options!
I think I would prefer a touchwiz rom (more like a real Note) but I do want a "stable" rom, so it seems the options are between eclipse & dn7
based on what they've written on their website, dn7 has only a problem with radio sound
did you have any difiiculties with your eclipse rom?

Nope.. I dont know if radio bug is there too.. Rest everything is smooth and stable
So there are a bunch of 7.0 ROMs based off of CM14 right now. Since there is currently no OOS based off of 7.0, does that mean that we won't get "stable" 7.0 ROMs until OnePlus releases OOS based off of 7.0? Or does it not matter?
I have been itching to try out Nougat but there are so many to choose from. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I mainly care about stability and of course battery life. However the lack of xposed is also keeping me attached to 6.0 right now
I've tried AOKP, AICP, AOSP Tesla and also CM14.
Battery life is best on CM14.
Battery on other N ROMs perform alike.
Performance wise every N ROM is much faster than MM. But if that's my main concern, I'd again go for CM14.
Right now I'm on AOKP as I feel it gives better camera quality.
I've been running Lineage os 14.1 for a while and I want to change rom and upgrade to oreo, so which is the best 8.x rom so far?

Depends on what your looking for. The best way to find out is try it for yourself. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to roms. If you want simplicity and perhaps stability, stay on LOS. Personally LOS lacks certain customizations I really prefer not to give up. I ran crDroid on my Galaxy S4 and found it to my liking more then other roms. Personally I felt like it had the best kernel development of an Los based roms for that device. Since jumping back to an LG G3 I stuck with crDroid because I find the performance great, stability is great, and it has the feature set I like the most. Plus firebird was the maintainer of crDroid for my S4 variant) That said RR(Resurrection Remix) is amazing as well. For that matter all the major roms are great. You really can't go wrong.

I would like to know, in your opinion, what's the best custom rom for full screen gestures (like MIUI 9/10), in android 8.1 and 9.0 (if there's any stable 9.0 rom).
And about the weird scrolling present in custom roms based on AOSP. Why it's that way in AOSP based roms? 9.0 roms still have that weird scrolling?
So, basically, that's my questions (in your opinion):
1 - What's the best custom rom for full screen gestures like MIUI in Android 8.1 (based in Lineage and AOSP, separately)
2 - What's the best 8.1 custom rom in your opinion (say if it's based on AOSP or Lineage)
3 - What's the best custom rom for full screen gestures like MIUI in Android 9.0 (based in Lineage and AOSP, separately)
4 - What's the best 9.0 custom rom in your opinion (say if it's based on AOSP or Lineage)
5 - What's the best custom rom for battery, for performance and balanced (say if it's based on AOSP or Lineage)?
6 - That weird scrolling still present in 8.1 custom roms based on AOSP?
7 - That weird scrolling still present in 9.0 custom roms based on AOSP?
8 - There's any custom rom that can provide balanced battery and performance and nice full screen gestures like MIUI?
Thanks!
Really.. ?
:fingers-crossed:

Q1: MIUI 9.5.17.0

Q3: MIUI 9.5.17.0
Q4: MIUI 9.5.17.0
Q5: MIUI 9.5.17.0
Q6: YES.
Q7: YES.
Q8: MIUI 9.5.17.0
I Hope You Now Understand...
NOTHING.... Works As Well As Stock... PERIOD.
If you are fortunate enough to still be " Anti-3" you're in great shape.. Get Back On 9.5.17.0
If you "Anti' ed" yourself out of 3 an into 4, flash firmware 9.5.17.0 WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR BOOTLOADER.. the ROM can be found in the threads...
If You Want Balance & Power.. ( And Gestures The Way They Should Perform )
Trust Me.. It's by far the best choice for this device for BATTERYLIFE, PERFORMANCE and most importantly.. 100% STABILITY and Gestures that work 100% of the time.
So Pick Your Own Poison... Your Setup Is Unique To You.. So.. YMMV. This is just one person's opinion.
Don't want any flashy customization or unnecessary settings. Can do with barebones.
I'm a use of Nova launcher and want a ROM that gives the highest performance and battery life.
Which should I choose? AOSP? Pixel experience? or the Stock MIUI?
If stock is the answer, is there one that doesn't bring back the anti rollback and is pre-rooted as I'd like keep experimenting and delete bloatwares.
On Havoc Official ROM at the moment.
pixel expierence/liquid/bootleggers unofficial/aosip
Havoc mod and rebirth kernel
Go with pixel experience
on OREO, RR6.2 is THE THE BEST! ( you can flash updated version of Derp kernel(s) and have the most out of it)
on PIE, Bootleggers is STABLE strong ! ,, .. I am Using Pie CRDROID and its good too
NONE of the Custom roms can Beat Stock MIUI10.0.0.6 having whole 9 yard of rich user experience! MIUI 10 users haptec habits amd adjusts device accordingly! waiting for PIE miui, which is out for PocoFone Already!

RR is better than other in performance? :0 Are u sure?
As with every other thread people will recommend what they are using. Spend a couple of days and test for yourself. The answer as usual will be that stock or stock based will be the least frustrating experience I guess.
I am using one plus 5T port lastest build and speed snappyness of the ROM I am just loving it and PUBG and other high graphics games just play awesome. With no heating issue .battery back up is also good .
1.Samsung Experience ROM 1.4.1(it's kernel frequency is overclocked)
2.MCAOSP Pie
3.AOSIP Oreo
4.Asus Max Pro M1 Ported Rom for Whyred(stock android)
5.Official MiUi

with the tried many Oreo Roms, I found RR6.2 quiet stable and good in performance
( tried: AeX, ACiP, Aosip, Liquid, DotOs, Crdroid, Xenon, Nitrogen(unreleased), PE, OmniRom, bootloggers,Havoc8.1)
Check my post from another thread :
