Root issues with LG Optimus G - LG Optimus G (International)

I'm having issues with a LG Optimus G. I can't access Recovery or Bootloader. I can't even root it. When I use Root Checker, it says something it's wrong with the actual root.
All I wanna do, it's to install a custom ROM. But that seems impossible since I can't even get into recovery. I installed a KDZ but even then it won't work.
Download Mode, seems to be working. I tried rooting with the bat file, but nothing, it won't work!
I followed the Unbrick Tutorial, but nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I used this Root on E975 with Stock 4.4.2 and it worked.
There is also a detailed description how to do it right.
You can unlock the Bootloader with FreeGee after you've rooted the device.
Then i would recommend you flash TRWP 2.8.7.0
P.s.
But you also can try towelroot or maybe King Root but i suggest the first Methode.

Thanks! King Root did work! Now it's rooted, still I can't install recovery I tried with FreeGee but it won't work it says "Perfoming action" for about an hour. Also tried with Rom Mananger but nothing.. it won't install it.
I keep getting the error "Secure Booting Error! Cause : boot certification verify" each time I tried to boot into recovery.

Maybe re-flash the last original KDZ file for your device first and then do the common steps -> Root -> Unlock Bootloader -> Flash Custom Recovery
You can Boot into download mode by "Hold VolUp + VolDn and put in the Charger cable connected with your Computer"
Then you can try the Original LG Software to "Reset" the device or use the LG Flash Tool 2014 to offline Flash a KDZ file.
KDZ for you device you can get here or use the Original LG Firmware tool to download for your device.
Get Sure you backup all the data you need before, becasue this Method will "clean" your device completly!
Edit:
Get sure you use the last USB Drivers, i've used the LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4.exe

[Q] Stuck in download mode

Hey all,
I recently put the lolipop AOSP rom onto my G Pad, but wanted to revert it back to the stock software.
I plugged it into the computer and tried using the recovery tool, but it did not work, so I put the G Pad into download mode and it gets to a point where it has downloaded the software and is deploying it, but then fails every time.
I tried the offline KDZ method, but when the support tool loads it checks the connected device and always tells me to unplug it and try again.
Does anyone have anything in mind I could try or requires more information to offer a suggestion to me?
Thank you in advance.
I was in the same position a few hours ago. I downloaded the official LG Support tool (drivers and tool available HERE). Launch the LG Support tool, go to Options -> Upgrade Recovery and follow the steps. It should dowload the latest available official formware (V50020D) and flash it to your tablet. I'd recommend a factory reset, since you have CM installed on it. This procedure didn't erase /data (I've done it twice while trying to flash a custom recovery on it). Then you must use LG Flash Tool 2014.zip to flash an older firmware that has a bootloader that allows installing of a custom recovery. After flashing V20B or V20A, you must root it and flash a custom recovery (I'd recommend THIS ONE). It seems a little complicated, but this is the only way to un-brick it (it worked for me).
Get the apk from THIS thread after rooting your tablet (it should flash TWRP 2.8).

Bricked LG Gpad 7.0 V410

Hello all, I just purchased a new LG V410 and decided to root it using TWRP with flashify. I've done this before with other phones with much success and followed the instructions precisely. I was able to root the tablet successfully, but when using the flashify install the TWRP custom recovery the phone rebooted into fastboot.udc and I have been stuck ever since. I can no longer go into download mode or recovery mode and when I try it comes back to the black fastboot screen with errors. I have to do a hard reset using Power and vol down just to restart the tablet, which otherwise works fine and is detected by my pc and the minimal adb fastboot command interface. However, the mobile support tool doesn't see the phone and I have downloaded drivers several times with no change in status. Please advise as I think that I may have fully bricked my tablet. Any help is appreciated.
Hold the volume up and plug in the usb to get to download mode properly, as well this http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/kdz-lg-g-pad-7-0-v410-t3224867. Unbricked mine with that method. Hope that helps!
Just to let you know why it bricked and you often can't just use Flashify or anything else to merely flash TWRP anymore, its because of the locked bootloader. On other LG devices such as the VS985 G3 and the VK810 G Pad 8.3, we have to use old KitKat bootloaders (from the same device) to be able to get into TWRP. At least on the VS985, the KitKat bootloader was still locked, but it was vulnerable to a method to get around it called "BUMP", so anything that boots - kernels, TWRP etc, has to be BUMP'd in order to work, but still requires the BUMP-vulnerable bootloader.

VS985 Marshmallow- Can not get to download mode or factory reset - Recovery issues

I have a Verizon LG G3 and wanted to root to change the ROM. I used kingroot to root and then was able to add superuser, root checkers showed I had root and superuser access. I read online a few people were able to use flashify to put Twrp on their device. I selected the VS985 and after it was done it would not boot into recovery. The phone loads and runs fine but now ot shows the phone does not have root, superuser says it needs update and fails, and I cannot even do a factory reset.
How do I fix the recovery so I can either finish the root and recovery installation, or just go back to stock?
Thanks!
Phone is on Marshmallow. Guides I found to fix say you need to be on lollipop. Phone boots right now, so I do not want to risk trying too much since it boots now.
Fixed it using lg flashtool but with this dll file http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4&postcount=84

HELP! Fully wiped. Only Recovery mode is possible. Help me flash a stable ROM.

What I've done:
1. Tried LGNPST method but phone never showed up in the software
2. Tried flashing with LG official tool. That always resulted phone disconnected.[I did put my phone into download mode]
3.Tried almost all KDZ_FW_UPDATE methods they always stopped either in not responding-> close program OR extraction error
4. Tried sideloading using adb but they also resulted in "bad file" even push didn't work saying no permission to write(I think)
for adb I tried converted .zip of kdz using some guide in xda.
My phone is totally clean now. I can boot to Recovery or Download Mode. There's no file that's flashable right now. I'm in Philz touch recovery
This actually happened while I was flashing to unlock bootloader and charge went low.
I desperately want it to function properly. Please anyone with any new or updated methods, help me.
When normally trying to boot up, Google logo comes and phone switches off.
I was in F180L converted to E975.
I've INDIAN(20a) version kdz also european(10h) and korean(30e).

LG H815 stuck on boot

Hello
I tried rooting my LG H815 and it didn't go so well.
I managed to successfully unlock the bootloader following the steps on the LG developer website.
I downloaded SuperSu (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip) and placed it in the internal storage of the phone.
Afterwards in order to root the device, I booted into TWRP with "fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-1-h815.img".
In TWRP I flashed SuperSu. After it finished flashing I rebooted the device. After it attempted to start up again, it froze at the LG logo. I waited around 10 minutes and figured it's not successfully boot.
I removed the battery and tried to fire it up again, but it didn't get past the Logo screen again.
I managed to send "adb reboot recovery" to it, but all I get is an image of a little dead android. I guess this is because I only booted TWRP and did not flash it.
When I get it in fastboot mode, "fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-1-h815.img" does work anymore now. I just says < waiting for any device >.
I managed to get into default recovery with power up + vol down where it prompted me to do a reset by responding Yes twice, but after it rebooted, it still got stuck on Lg logo.
If you cannot get to the recovery then follow these steps:
i) Make sure you have the LG Drivers installed from here: http://oceanhost.eu/e4h2px4e0hkd/LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4.exe.htm
ii) Download the LG Bridge software from here: http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000025-1438110404543-preinstall-apps
iii) Remove the battery and reinsert it so the device it is fully off.
iv) While holding the up volume button, insert your USB cable.
v) You should enter download mode. Go to the Software Update tab of the LG Bridge. It will say connecting and then should say your device is up to date. Click on the recovery text on the bottom right and then follow the instructions. The software will download the system image for you and this is roughly 1.6GB so make sure your firewall doesn't block this connection.
This shouldn't delete your data (no guarantees) but you will have to grant app permissions again and reapply any changes to system files e.g. root, viper4android, xposed ect.
If you have problems try this method instead:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
If successful and you're brave enough to try again. Then make sure you actually flash TWRP. I think you are right in that you only booted TWRP .
You can follow my TWRP/root guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/howto-complete-guide-to-unlock-twrp-t3370003
Good luck
Thanks a lot for answering.
LG Bridge wasn't detecting my device. I don't remember if I was in download mode when I tried this, though. I might've not been.
I didn't know how to fix it and asked a friend for help. He managed to flash the h815 stock firmware through some Taiwanese/Korean flash tool (Edit: It was LGUP and he flash a kdz file with the stock firmware).
I followed a similar guide to yours when I flashed SuperSU from TWRP, except I didn't install twrp permanently after booting it from the .img file. I thought it was not possible to install twrp if the device is not rooted first.
I still kinda want to root the device since I voided my warranty by unlocking the bootloader, but I'm afraid I'll break it again if I use the same method.
Edit: Managed to successfully flash twrp. Booted into recovery again after rebooting system. I am now creating and saving a full backup with TWRP. Will try flashing SU again afterwards.
Edit2: I flashed SU after properly installing TWRP and it worked like a charm.
