Google play music has been hanging up on me lately when a song ends it will skip certain songs and only play 30 seconds of certain songs but seems to work flawless on my home wifi. I read on google plus people were having issues with it as well just wondering how else it works for everyone on the boards here.
Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum. I recently purchased a Moto 360 for myself and I must say, so far I'm in love with it. I had to switch from Spotify to Play Music, but that's not a big deal since I originally used to use Play Music. There is one thing I am having a problem with however.
With a lot of songs that I have on play music, when I issue the "Play Song" command on my moto 360, it will attempt to open up the Youtube video, as opposed to just playing the song on Play Music. I have the songs added to my library on Play music, but it continues to do this. It's not every song either, only certain ones.
Does anyone have any experience or fix for this? Is there a way to just block Youtube on my moto 360 all together? I'm never going to use it anyways.
Thank you!

I had a similar issue and found that it was AllCast app downloaded from the play store that was interfering with my voice commands. Do you have any apps that might be 'stealing' the voice action?

Not that I know of. I even uninstalled Youtube from my phone, but I still run into the same issue. I can't play certain songs through play music. It recommends me Youtube music videos to watch instead.
Moto 360 second gen and I have the same issue.
im having the same issue, still have not found what is causing this....maybe google now settings ? cause ok google open google now on my phone when i issue voice commands..
I solved mine by factory resetting my phone and starting over. This time I didn't install the YouTube Music app and all now happens according to plan.
Anybody having issues with OK Google constantly "listening" but only when playing music with headphones on?
I will play music through headphones and every 30 seconds or so OK Google, will cut my music off and listen for a command. I had to freeze the Google app in order for it to stop.
I know the issue only occurs in 5.1.1 because when I flash other stock roms, the issue goes away.
Thanks
Ok, so i looked in the forums and found no one had this... but I launch the google play music app, pick ANY radio station, start a tune, it will play just fine.
Now, once the song is over, OR if I decide to skip a song, the app will start playing the next track as expected however, after 4 ~ 7 seconds of playback, the song skips, and goes to the next song again. I have seen the phone do this, while unlocked, I was just looking at it, nothing touching it and the skip occurs.
Uninstalled the app, the cache, all the play store updates/cache/data as well - same thing.
spotify, radiotunes, etc -- all work fine
poweramp for local content -= same thing, no issues.
google play support has so far been unable to help me.
anyone else experience this?
running stock 3.2.1 not rooted.
I have a Dension GW52MO1 500S BT (adds BT media streaming to older german cars) that has play control problems just with Google Play Music. If I listen to YouTube or BeyondPod, Neutron etc it works correctly. What happens with Google Play Music is the first couple of seconds repeat over and over again. Also if I stop the music it immediately starts playing again (repeating first couple of seconds of track). I can get it to work by turning off Bluetooth between one and 4 times, each time waiting for it start playing by itself.
This behavior does not occur in our other car that has the Pioneer DEH80PRS.
This problem is a bug in Google Play Music, there is a Google Product Forum post on it
https://productforums.google.com/forum/?noredirect=true#!topic/play/FKxS7t1W1dA
My question is: Is there any tool I can install on the Pixel 2 XL to help me work around this issue? I tried using Tasker to automate turning Bluetooth on and off but it when I do that the repeat 1st second problem doesn't resolve itself like it does when I do it manually.
The Dension does not appear to have a way to turn off the autoplay (resume) feature which I think interacts with the bug in Google Play Music to cause the issue.
Thanks
