[HELP] Bootloop with custom bootanimation - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello together,
I've tried to set a custom bot animation via few ways:
via designs for CM theme engine (CM and DU fw)
via flashable ZIP (TWRP with CM and DU)
Via theme engine it doesn't change the animation, it is still the animation from the custom ROM (CM or DU).
When I use the flashable ZIP, it will cause a boot loop. It shows the bootscreen for about 10-15 seconds and then reboots.
Have you any suggestions for me to get it work??
Thanks in advance.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.

[Q] Boot Stuck at Boot Animation after flashing Simplistic Framework via CWM

I flashed Simplistic Framework Odex version on my stock 4.1.2 and now my device is stuck at the boot animation (Samsung word with blueish backlight). Any way to solve this problem?
Also, I had downloaded for fun the stock prerooted deodex rom but I have no idea how to flash it to my device now that it is in such state. What tools do I need in order to flash this rom?
Thanks in advanced.

Boot Animation Screwup

So, I just rooted and installed CM11 on my galaxy nexus (verizon) and I was changing the boot animation to a more stock animation, so I flashed the animation from CWM and rebooted. The animation is slow and I wanted to change it back. I got a new animation from my computer and then tried to flash that .zip. It appeared it did not work because the animation is still there. I had made a backup of my ROM on the phone itself thru ROM manager. How do I remove the crappy animation and back to a more stable one and, if necessary, how do I go about flashing that backup thru CWM?
Thanks in advance,
Someone who screwed up.

Resurrection Remix 13/01/17 issue

Hello to everyone. I have the problem that when I flash something, for example a custom kernel or other flashable zip and I reboot the phone, it boot but the boot never stop, endless boot. Only when I dirty flash the ROM and the flashable zip (mods or something else) it will boot up normally and I can use my phone ... I installed Al's hosts from adaway and the same.... Endless boot. I think at first that it cause the custom kernel the problem and I tried also with the stock one that canes with the ROM. The same issue remaining. It goes tiring to dirty flash again and again... Someone have the same issue in this ROM?
Edit: Device is N5X running 13/1/17 RR 5.8.0 with latest security patch.

HELP!!! Using Dual Boot Patcher, can't boot into primary ROM

Hi everybody, I've encountered a strange problem and i come to see if anybody can help me.
Symptom: can't boot into primary ROM. Fine booting into secondary.
I'm using OnePlus 3 with H2OS 3.0 stable v2 as my primary ROM, and official Resurrection Remix as my secondary (installed to data partition).
Today I wanted to update my RR to the newest version so I downloaded the zip and by the way updated Dual Boot Patcher to 9.2.0_r106.
When I turned to ROM tab, it asked me to set kernel (which i did not know why), I didn't care much and pressed 'Yes' (in my Resurrection Remix), then i rebooted to recovery in order to install the patched zip file.
Somehow it failed to install, so I decided to boot into primary and flash with Dual Boot Patcher in primary ROM. But here it happened...It turned black out after I've chosen to boot into primary in the boot screen.
I tried flashing the boot-before-updating-ramdisk.img but it only led to boot loop in boot animation of primary ROM.
ps. Today I found my magisk root in RR is lost. Are these things related?
Can anybody help me with this......
is it because I set kernel while not in primary rom? How do i solve it?
And I'd also like to know what exactly does 'set kernel' do? What files does it modify?

Help

Hello,
I'm having a few issues with installing custom boot animations. I download the boot animation ready to flash using twrp. When I flash the zip file all goes smoothly, no errors at all. I reboot and its the same boot animation as it was before. If anyone could help me or give me any suggestions I would be extremely greatful
Below I have listed some info
My phone:
Galaxy S9 - SM-G960F
ElementalX Kernel
cr Droid custom rom
Rooted with magisk
Twrp recovery
are you sure it's the right zip and it has the necessary files in it?

most common issues with custom boot anim's is the format. If the one youre flashing is set to a DPI outside of what the bootloader knows the panel is capable of, then itll just revert to the old one or none at all. I ran into this all the time when i was making my own for my old Evo. I flashed a rick astley anim on a buddies phone just to be a prick like 10 years ago it was pretty epic
