My LG G4 keeps searching the network from time to time shortly after I got it. But this became worse after my G4 upgraded to Android 6.0. It now searchs the network every minute no matter the data is on or off. And the battery is just keep going drained.
Is there anything I can do on this?

Sideloaded the ZVG update a few days ago, did a factory reset, and set up my phone. Everything was working great and I loved the update... until I noticed yesterday that the phone now takes much longer to charge. Previously, using a 2A charger, it would charge at roughly 1% per min, but now it seems to be more like 1% per 2-3 mins. Not sure if this is on purpose to extend battery longevity or an actual bug in the update. Either way, it's kind of annoying. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Yes I've noticed it, but I think if you were in another non stock ROM. You would have modified kernel that may have had a quicker charging installed in it.
I noticed the same thing yesterday. I have been on stock rom, with only root, since the announced that we were getting LP. Another thing that I noticed, my battery life has gone to hell in the last couple of days. As an example, I unplugged my phone this morning at 6am (100%) and by 8:15am my phone was down to 65% and I was barely using my phone during that time. A couple of co workers have the G3 with Verizon and they were telling me that their battery life had gotten bad after the update. So for about a week and a half (I updated on the 27th) everything was running normal and now charging takes longer and battery last shorter. My next step is to back up my data and reset the phone.
I just did a search on this problem. It seems that all of the LG G2s & G3s are having the same issue since the Lollipop upgrade regardless of carrier. LG needs to release a fix for all of these issues ASAP or their current users won't stay LG users for much longer. I for one was planning on getting the G4 but if they don't fix this problem soon I will be forced to change phones before it is released on Sprint.
I'm not having any of these issues.
I've had my phone unplugged for just under 15 hours and it went from 100% to 63% in that time with a SOT of 2 hours. Granted I do Greenify practically everything and only use the radios when I need them
It does seem to take longer to charge but that is not an issue for me.
Did you sideload ZVG or take the OTA to ZVG? There are some people who have said that the OTA is what is causing problems... I sideloaded ZVG BTW.
Hi all
After connecting back to the internet when the Nexus has not been connected for an extended period of time, the nexus becomes nearly unresponsive / severely laggy for several minutes. During this time, the nexus receives every single notification that it normally would have received during the time it wasnt connected to the internet - which I think it mainly the reason to blame. The thing is, this issue definitely did not happen on KitKat. I noticed this immediately after upgrading to Lollipop last year and it was so bad I reverted back. I then recently upgraded to Marshmallow a couple weeks ago and it has the same issue. I really would love to stick with Marshmallow, but it's extremely frustrating to have to wait 2-5 minutes every time I pick up the tablet before I can start using it.
The alternative of course is to set wifi to stay always on which eliminates the problem (unless I actually power it down for extended periods). Of course using this setting eats through my battery and I'm 100% I had wifi set to only stay on "when plugged in only".
Has anyone else run into this issue? Better yet, any thoughts on how to prevent this from occurring?
Thanks!!
I wanna ask if does anyone have Marshmallow rom for LG G4 H818P or know any pieces of information about when it's gonna be available on LG G4 H818P?!
Thank You.
Its available in some countries.
If you want to upgrade to it yourself you can look at certain posts like this one

Well the OTA update's now available. Upgraded a few days ago & now the battery's very awful during usage. Heats up. It's worse when you're connected to the Internet. Curiously enough it's OK when it's idle. Anyone out there with an idea?
I noticed the same issues on worse battery usage and heat up. In the update bullet point, it included improved battery usage but in reality, worse! Hope next upgrade will cure these issues.
My G3 has recently starting to restart several times a day. Running stock Lollipop 5.0. Just did a reset and restore and it just restarted again.
Is my G3 "dying"?
No your G3 isn't dying, but, your battery is. Get a replacement battery, preferably same as the original battery.
hey guys, my beloved htc m8 which hasn't been dropped and is on 10 out of 10 condition was suddenly started playing up
few days ago, the message app kept crashing, then my phone started getting warm, and battery life was reduced...
but today things seems has got worse, i keep loosing signal, then it gains full signal looses signal over and over, it seems to settle down, and then it starts losing signal again.
so i decided to reinstall my custom rom wolla v7.0 still no luck
any ideas? anything i can do?
flash stock RUU and see how it goes
just my opinion
hey, thank you for your reply, i did think of giving it a go. just an odd update, the symptoms seem worse if i disconnect from wifi, its as if the 4g lte connection is making the issue worse. also its is actually showing no sim, then ee sim and no sim in the setting menus. does this sound familiar to anyone. just flashed elementalx kernel.
any other help would be great
