I managed to root my Kindle Fire with Safe Root and I have been trying to use the Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.9 to install FireFireFire (which is missing by the way and the utility can't download it because the host is offline) and TWRP. When I try to install TWRP, the Kindle shuts down and says it is rebooting in Fastboot Mode, however, after the Kindle reboots, the utility still says waiting for device. I have restarted it over and over again but TWRP never finishes the install. That is just my first issue here. I am also very irritated that every link I try to download from on this forum ends up being a dead link. What gives? In January of 2016, how am I supposed to install Android or Cyanogenmod's version of Android on my Kindle Fire (1st Gen)?

I watched the video and I've read several threads about trying to solve my problem, but without success.
I rooted my Kindle Fire tonight utilizing the Kindle Fire Utility, but was unable to get the Google Play Market to run correctly without force closing.
I followed the directions in these forums and went to install FireFireFire to see if that would assist things, and during that time my device locked up at this image.
The forums will not allow me to post an image or a link but it is the standard Kindle Fire logo with the Android logo above that.
I attempted to follow the directions in the Kindle Unbrick Utility hosted here, however my Windows 7 is not recognizing the Kindle at all anymore. It's listed as 'malfunctioning' under windows and all of the unBrick utility options says the device is not responding.
I tried to reinstall the ADB drivers from both Kindle Fire utility and by manually editing the android usb driver in the Android SDK file.
Any ideas or did I just completely destroy my Kindle Fire after having it rooted for approximately six hours.
EDIT: Oh, my goodness. The unbrick just worked randomly. It still force closes google play but I am just going to cut my losses, I need a drink.

first this issue has been the creation of thread point for awhile now. there are at least 10 threads that ask about this. please look and try the solutions posted.
second try this:
reinstall the drivers
-----if that doesnt work-----
plug your kindle into your computer on
goto c:/users/youruser
delete the folder .android
rerun kfu even if it says offline
You're stuck in FastBoot mode. Open up KFU again and verify by looking at the ADB Status. Go to Option 1 then select option 1 in the next menu. That should bring your Kindle back to normal and you can then verify if you're rooted or not.
first i attemp to root my kindle fire 6.3.2 in first i install the driver when i open kindle fire utility adb statusnline i thought its was success and then i type 2 and "install permanent root with super user" after that its waiting to install FFF and my kindle fire stuck p in "kindle fire" logo and now i cant connect it to computer is there anyway i could fix this? please help i really need it.
I used the Kindle Fire Utility to root my Kindle 6.3.2 and then I screwed up. I think I accidentally used the 'Advanced Wipe' feature in TWRP and killed my Kindle.
Right now I can boot my Kindle to the TWRP recovery no problem. But I cannot get my PC to see the device so that I can sideload CyanogenMod or something similar.
When I plug my Kindle into my Win 7 PC it dings, it sees the usb connection, the and Kindle starts recharging so I know there is some connection. In Device Manager it shows that I have an Android ABD device.
But I cannot see the Kindle in Explorer so I can move the CyanogenMod .zip over to the kindle for installation.
I've tried every USB driver in the book and I am out of ideas. Also, I am a n00b at this so I hope I used all the terms correctly.
Help!
PS: As a side note, does Google Play still work with CyanogenMod? That is what started this whole mess - my CM Kindle would not recognize my Google Play games.
Thanks
Hello XDA forums,
I have had nothing, but problems install TWRP on my Kindle fire version 6.3.2. I have installed the drivers on windows 7 and when i connect my kindle fire. In device manger the kindle fire displays as "Android Phone", at the top showing the drivers are correctly installed. The problem is anytime i run the install.bat file to install TWRP my kindle fire is stuck on the Logo and in the command prompt it just says "<waiting for device>"... The install.bat file will be stuck here until i close out of it. I then i have a unbootable kindle fire which i boot up linux and run the SoupKit application to fix the kindle fire boot mode, so it can boot propertly. Can anyone help me figure out why i can't install TWRP on my kindle fire? I was thinking about doing a factory reset and starting over to see if that works?
Anyone help out?
Update "After trying 3 different computers i finally found success with my desktop running windows 8.1. I had to modify the driver signing feature and disable ti in order for my kindle fire to be recognized in fast boot. I honestly have no idea why the drivers seem to work on windows 8.1 x64 along with recognizing my kindle fire in fast boot. My windows 7 laptop and linux even was having troubles installing TWRP on my kindle fire. The windows 7 laptop was unable to recognized Kindle Fire Utility and my kindle fire wouldn't show up in device manger." I Was luckly after messing with kindle fire and drivers for about 6 hours i finally found one pc to work.
