Yeah obviously I can.. But having a file manager in the rom itself makes it Complete.. No need to download everytime we do a factory reset.. And I think it doesn't take much to add it.. Or I am wrong?

yes you are right ...file manager is a basic need and it must be included in ROM..may be ES File Explorer will be the best one if included

I guess I am way to used to use Titanium Backup for those kind of things. No need to install anything from the Play Store, except for updates and new apps. It is so easy that way.

There is a really nice function inside Titanium Backup that allows you to create a flashable ZIP of it which I use when I clean flash a new ROM.
I bet you did not know that uh???
Yeah , and another great function allows you to make update zip from app + data backups

I saw this posted on the OPPO forums by the same "Wuxianlin", it raises my suspicious eyebrow as it linked to a chinese site with nothing but chinese that google struggled to translate.

I am downloading the ROM with "JDownloader 2 BETA". It does not require a baidu account. My internet speed is pretty slow (Max 60kB/s), so it will take a while before I can upload any screenshots

wow Wuxianlin is great, isn't the same dev who made cm12 early builds? i will install after they fix the storage bug, i use my find7 as daily driver... so is a bit too early for me maybe
i hope that the new way to format sd cards as internal storage introduced in M could finally stop forcing me to deal with lvm/coldbird things

Too bad lvm is officially a way to have all internal storage in one place. We can only hope cm will merge it in their rom.

I hoped it to, but afaik cm team never talked about any unificatiom method and in their official support they generally avoid this kind of workaround so if i can use a class 10 micro SD with decent results in installing and using apps will be fine to me..
EDIT: i find out a way to open that site with firefox and downloaded the description.txt in the folder, translated from chinese to english with google translator and got this:

the translation is bad but seems that also a couple of zips has to be flashed apart from the rom itself and the gapps, for sure for rooting i see in the folder that the dev has put supersu 2.52 beta

You need to flash ColorOS because of the Modem issue. The original CM source code used the ColorOS 4.3 Modem as reference and built their ROM. And they still continue to use that source so just for installing the 4.3 modem, you have to install COS 1. ( Note: If incompatible modem is used, your carrier service would not work and you will not receive any signal )
There is a newer version out today, but i can't download it from "baidu"! Maybe someone can add it to driver folder?

this rom beta and some devices was boot loop.My team cant fix that and not update.If you like cm13 and you port it like devices(e.g elephone wowney lite,infinix zero 3,redmi note 2,redmi note 3(Mediatek),or any mt67xx eg.jıayu s3,jıayu s3 plus,....)

rom not working: after install file via twrp and reboot device i get the bootloop. I use TWRP 3.0.2.2. After try wipe cache partition i get error message "can't umount /cache: device busy". Tested b1 and b2 too.

If you are on stock OS, you need a custom recovery first. You can get the recommended TWRP recovery in the official installation instructions link below.

I just migrated from Omni to this first build of official LOS. Thanks a bunch for the effort.
I'm having trouble getting Gcam (Arnova8G2 v1) to work. Flashed Camera2 api Magisk module and portrait mode works but the main camera is just black/blank. Is that a known problem on LOS?
Manually did enable api via build prop editor and reboot

PS. for stupid ppl like me: if you get the "Google services framework has stopped" after installation do the following:
1) Format data
2) Go to Advanced wipe, select everything and wipe it.
3) install ROM (only rom)
4) reboot into recovery
5) Go to Advanced wipe, select everything and wipe it.
6) Install ROM + Gapps and other stuff if needed.
After this is should work.
This is the problem of other roms not supporting proper Encryption and this one does.

I needed to do the same when moved to the latest version of Omni 29.04. That is because they use different encryption now (the proper one).
Hoe is the ROM? battery life? Any specific bugs?

8.3.29 is a Miui dev release which is Miui 9.
They use the blobs/configs from that build so they recommend it.

Installation:
If you are on stock OS, you need a custom recovery first. You can get the recommended TWRP recovery in the official installation instructions link below.

I changed it to make it install.
It installs and boots but the sound is broken and keeps crashing.

Define wrong? What did you have to remove from updater-script?
Also logs please? I only have Storm(kipper) to test with.

But I have no idea what is making the audio crash

That /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/ path is actually the correct path. Any path with "bootdevice" is just a symlink to /soc.0/7824900.sdhci. Aosp is trying to move away from using the bootdevice because the paths differ between the platforms(qcom/mtk/intel/kirin). We went ahead and made the jump to using full paths a lot of the lineage devices.
TDLR you need a new recovery that supports both.

What's your install procedure? Should be some thing like:
1 wipe data/factory reset
2 install lineage
3 install gapps
4 reboot & profit

Thats what i do but it bootloops me
New build is up today, Lag in camera and flashlight startup is resolved as well as a good amount of UI lag.

Gonna try it now.
I heard the same from the small tester group I go to. I've sent them a build with extra logging, as soon as I know what's going on I'll get a new build up.
