LG G3 D855 - need help - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I need help. Not with a issue but with testing. I've build a new ROM called SpaceROM it is not ready for comercial use yet so I need a few people who wants to test it. If you are intrested to test this ROM please send me a private message or awnser to this thread. ONLY D855

Hello , although a new romchef is great for g3 community the thread name is a bit misleading. Could you rename it to something like (ROM TEST)Your thread name(ROM TEST), would be much better IMHO
thx, keep up the work

Is it possible to Flash Google edition Rom onto my Gpad

Hi Guys,
Perhaps a little bit of a noob Question however I have a UK G-Pad V500
Is it possible to flash the google edition Rom onto my gpad?
I currently have stock kitkat lg rom
Perhaps this has been answered elsewhere however unable to find anything on this myself?
If yes then where can I download the Rom and some instructions on how to do it
I'm used to flashing roms on samsung devices but new to the world of LG
Thanks in advance
NO. I don't know how you missed this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564149, the final answer is that it can be done, at least not by the devs that tried. I see you also missed the "NO QUESTIONS IN THIS FORUM" thread, but I'll let you slip that one.

My apologies,
I'm at work and perhaps not paying enough attention to everything

Testers required!
Have a 855 with multirom would be happy to test for you.
I could help
Hi, I have a D855 32 GB model and the device is clear, so it can be used to test anything on it. I dont have any apps or data and I know how to restore things that always happened to me (BootLoops, Boot certification verify, etc.)
So if you want, i can test it.

Im not sure if you two know what your getting into. I mean, I look at your stats and. you dont seem to have experience in this area..
I really need people that know what they are doing.... I dont want you to brick your phone and then have no way to recover..

Nothing than Fastboot mode and a kdz cannot recover
Also my stats are low because I use more htcmania.com than xda-developers
And now I have dual boot patcher mixed with the multiboot of Skin1980 and I got a lot of errors and now the phone still working and never used fastboot because I was able to work with the recovery to avoid data loss. Only I used it once because of the lollipop Wi-Fi bug and make a downgrade to kitkat.
And finally I love flashing things.
If you cannot trust me, never mind I only tried to help.
I have D855 3/32 and free time to test
I have a D855 16GB. Have used multirom before running stock and CM 12.1, right now I'm only using Cloudy 2.4. I have no school for a few days and I'm happy to help testing. I know what I'm getting myself into, no problem if I have to flash KDZ over and over again.
I'm working on
HI, as you don't trust me I'm trying myself to port it from the source:
Could you guide me a little bit?? Let me explain: I'm using ubuntu 14.04 LTS. when I try to compile I have :
multirom.c:34:24: fatal error: libbootimg.h: the file doesn't exist
#include <libbootimg.h>
^
compilation terminated.
I just put the file inside the multiboot folder and in "/home/user/system/extra/libbootimg/" it keeps me saying that. Could be a problem of ubuntu?? might I swith to debian or else??
Also Does the kernel need to be re-patched to use this method, or the method provided by Skin1980 is valid?? Did you find someone to test??
Please
@Eliminater74 Please, Please i made some ilusions of this project...
Can I test it?, are you angry?? was my fault?? Please talk to me :crying::crying::crying:
I cannot success compiling it for myself.
this remind me: "What the hell happened, Snake? Answer me, Snake, Snaaaakkkkeee??" (Please replace Snakes with @Eliminater74)
same here multirom.c:34:24: fatal error: libbootimg.h: the file doesn't exist
#include <libbootimg.h>
^
compilation terminated.
@Eliminater74 can you tell me whats wrong ?

kinda dumb question i guess

What will happen if I flash LG G4's kdz to a g4c device? Sorry, I'm new to this... please tell me if it's possible or not, and if not - why not. I'd be grateful if I get any 6.0 OS for G4c as well.
Don't worry, some say there is no such thing as dumb questions! x)
You found just the right place to get help and gain knowledge about your phone, so feel free to ask anything anytime! =)
To (somewhat) answer your question, in general it is not a good idea trying to put anything somewhere, where it doesn't belong.
There are some exceptions ofc (ie. V10 camera software ported to G4) but as a rule of thumb you should really just stick to the things that are known to be compatible with your phone/hardware.
Else, you might end up with an expensive paperweight ("bricked", in the worst case destroyed beyond repair).
There are different G4 software versions for all the different G4 models, H811, H818P, H815, . . . which are even more or less completely incompatible with each other. You get the idea!
So you probably wouldn't even be able to flash any of those G4 KDZs on a G4c (H255n) device "out of the box" . . .
[edit] but,
I did a quick Google Search and it seems like there is official 6.0 for G4c?!
Here, found a bunch of Marshmallow 6.0 KDZs for G4c http://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h525n-firmwares/
Good luck, have fun and welcome to XDA!
thank you, just got 6.0 on my G4c
Hi! I will upgrade my G4C from 5.0.2 to 6.0 but all the time in LGUP doesn't matter or refurbish or upgrade it's always stopping on 9% after 'retry open dload port'
Any solution?
