Hello
I am trying to connect my xbox 360 wired controller with my SM-T700 and absolutely nothing happens.Lights wont light up on the controller at all and i get no notification.
I have tried with CM12.1 and TW Samsung ROM's.
Has anyone successfully made their xbox wired controllers work with their TAB S?
I have tried some custom kernels, but all made my tablet unbootable .
Maybe it's the cable wrong?

I've been reading that the new Transformer Prime supports Xbox controllers. I'm rooted with Overcome 2.something and want to know if I have this ability already. I also read that people have been using a USB dongle that Microsoft sells but I'd like something that is already built in to work. I also have a PS3 controller if that'll work, although I prefer the Xbox controller.
HDMI out and an Xbox controller = big screen NES!!!
since the xbox wireless controller uses a custom wireless protocoll, you can't use it without the dongle. You can use a wired xbox controller though.
I also prefer the xbox controller, but the PS3 controller is better suited for this. Since the PS3 controller uses bluetooth, you can buy a app on the market called "Sixaxis Controller", which allows you to use a PS3 controller over bluetooth with the tab. It's really awesome
EDIT: I also fine the PS3 controller better suited for emulation, because the dpad is in a better position for this.
is there anyway to do this without root? i read somewhere in 3.2 reenabled controller support for 10.1 i have a stock tablet and don't want to root unless i really really need to.
So, just to check, will the Xbox wireless receiver USB dongle work with the tab?

Wondering the same thing. I tried to connect the dongle to my Tab but my controller wouldn't connect to it (just flashed the green light, searching but no connection it seemed).
Is there a way to make the Xbox360 controller work if you connect the dongle to the Tab (or without it for all I care, just want it to work )
I just bought the 30 pin to USB and so far haven't been able to get a wired 360 controller to work but I am running stock so that might be the problem... If I were to root and get like 3.2 or something would this work?

You would need pershoot's kernel with the appropriate modules.

Which modules are the appropriate ones?
I feel like an idiot, asked this same questions (what do which modules do?) 3 or 4 times now, never got an answer... :S

I just did this, although I haven't tried it yet. Not sure what they show up as when connected though? Going to test it right now
Edit: Blah, the only wired 360 controller I have is a third party one, it showed up but I'm not sure how to use it. I tried the "USB/BT joystick center" app and it wanted me to make a driver by selecting bits of input data directly .
Re: Big NES if XBOX controller works.
Pick up a WII controller - cheaper and closer to the old school NES experience )
I have a wired Xbox controller and an OTG cable that has been reported to work with the new nexus 7. When I plug it in I get no indication that anything was pliugged in and the light on the controller just flashes. There is also additional input methods showing. I don't even know where to start any help would be much appreciated.
Edit: I plugged a mouse in and it worked fine. I have some crappy batman Xbox controller I'm wondering if that's the issue although it works perfectly with my pc

check out my thread about wiimotes the udb bt software supports xbox 360 controllers.
Hey guys,
I have a Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite t110n and an original dualshock 3.
I rooted my tablet and downloaded sixaxis compatibility and sixaxis controller. I paired the devices on the pc but the tablet don't find the controller.
I plugged it with a usb cable... nothing.
I downloaded sixaxis enabler and plugged it with the usb cable and nothing again.
Has anyone managed to make dualshock 3 work with this model?
Do I have to buy another model just to make the controller work?
Help appreciated. :good:
Hello
I've just bought a new Fire TV box which has the latest firmware installed. I can't get any controllers to work at all in either menus, games or apps. I've tried the F710 in both 'X' and 'D' positions, I've tried holding the 'logitech button'. Nothing works.
I've also tried 2 different Xbox 360 wireless receivers, an official one and a 3rd party one. I've tried both with 3 different official wireless controllers, again nothing works. I can pair the controllers to the receiver on my Windows 8.1 PC and they work fine.
When I go through the pairing procedure on the Fire TV, the lights seem to react as normal for fire TV (Solid green light on receiver, flashing green on controller)
Does anyone have any ideas? Amazon's site say the xbox controllers are compatible and there's many reports online of the F710 working as well. Thanks for reading!
Managed to 'Fix' it. Looks like I had USB debugging switched on. Controllers all working fine now. :good:
I've read many posts about not being able to properly utilize the wireless Xbox 360 controller with the new Fire TV 2nd gen. Most that I've read were either never commented on again, or the individual fixed it by disabling use debugging.
I've disabled USB debugging, I am using the official wireless receiver and controller, and I have been unable to pair my 360 controller with this fire tv 2. I have tried before and after root, I've tried disabling stickmount, along with force-closing any 3rd party or unnecessary apps I've side loaded with no success.
Has anyone managed to pair these? If so, did you have trouble at first but fixed it by doing something very simple? What steps did you take?
Edit
Seems I missed one thread stating disconnecting the Ethernet port seemed to allows the 360 controller to connect. Not ideal. Guess I'll just stick to limelight nvidia game stream.
yes, disconnect the ethernet port only use wifi then the 360 controller will be ok.
Yeah that would be my post lol
Sent from my Amazon Fire 2015
Wish I read this before spending 30 mins on a call with Amazon. Though they did say it would be fixed in the next update

disconnect the ethernet port to get it working really ?? - what kind of f*cked up, incompetent sh*t is that from Amazon - don't expect them to fix it quickly
I hate to hijack but since we're talking about 360 controllers, has anyone been able to get two wired 360 controllers or a wired controller and a USB mouse to run?

I think all you need to do is plug in a 4 port USB hub into the USB port on the Fire TV. Then plug in your 4 Wired Xbox 360 remotes. The controller light indicator should turn on each remote letting you know which controller they are (1,2,3,4)
You can then use this for various games/emulators etc.
Working !!??
