HCT Desire Bricked? HTC logo and 4 exclamation marks

Hello everyone,

have you tried to press back button and then power to enter fastboot?

i did...but nothing happen

I have had then when i messed up rooting my phone, its not bricked. your recovery is messed up, follow this guide

if step 2 does not do anything then just hold volume down and power then navigate to recovery.
keep trying till you can boot recovery it will work, thats what i did

Did you try running the RUU update while you are in this mode?
The USB port should be in hboot-usb mode.

im trying to Rooting but failure in step1

I had exactly the same thing when I try to root, just root again using Modaco's steps, then when you are done, a strange logo will appear, and for me it went back to stock 1.15 software.

I had a test step1 you told me..but still blank and the output :
"Erasing cache and rebooting in RUU mode..."
<waiting for device>
and have no access to bootloader or recovery!!

Did you ever manage to fix your Desire? If you did, then how did you do it?
I have the same problem and am tearing out what little hair I have.
Any help would be appreciated.

I figured out a fix
If you haven't already fixed your Desire, then after some trial and error I came up with this fix (post #5) that worked for me.

My G Pro was working fine this morning, and all of the sudden, it rebooted itself and got stuck at At&t boot logo. No matter what I do, it never gets past this point. It can boot into TWRP but that's pretty much it.
Actually, I can just follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660 or use TWRP to fix the problem. However, this morning I just filmed a video which I didn't have any chance to back up, and I really want to copy it to my PC before wiping all the data on my phone.
Could anybody help me, please?
If you guys need any additional info, please let me know. Thank you much.

Try and see if this helps, reboot to recovery and in TWRP find the "mount usb" option and select it, plug your phone in to the PC and see if you can see the drive in "my computer", if you can then find your file and copy it to where you want. I do not use TWRP now, I use CWM but I used to do that all the time with my Galaxy Note without any problems.

need system.img

trying to fix a brick and i need a system.img to flash via fastboot. i would make one myself but i recently had to reformat my computer and havent yet gotten it set up for android development. any system.img will due but i prefer STOCK.

hey guys i have a acer iconia a3-a10 that is rooted and worked fine i recently added a recovery software called acer recovery software so take i could test out custom roms it installed fine and then when i restarted the system nothing it wont go pass start screen its stuck on acer i tried hard reset factory reset pretty much everything and still nothing the only thing i can do is start up recovery i look online and tried to find a firmware to update through recovery and was told that might work but cant find nothing it wont read on computer ethier with adb, is there anything i can do from the sd card to fix this problem anyone know of a firmware or program i can boot from sd card to get working again, please help if anyone has any ideals please share

ok my friend went ahead and tried to root his sprint lg g2.he did the root correctly then when he tried to flash recovery he didi something which put him stuck on ls logo...he tried to put it in recovery mode and download mode and all it did was boot into fastboot mode..so he search and read and came across this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2779007) he proceeded to do this and everything went good and he said that he got errors on img flashing,steps 5-8..now phone is in just black screen and when i plug in to computer reads like sd card and asking me to format...now he is asking me to try to get his phone back up and running...Any help would be appreciated..thank you

Exact same thing happened to me. I was rooted and borked it trying to get the recovery on. Fastboot black screen no matter how i tried firing it up. Dont remember where but found a tut giving me the fastboot commands to get it unstuck and into download mode. Google lg g2 stuck in fastboot, after u fix that from there i used the unroot method here on xda. Search my last couple posts and u will see the thread i used. It saved my phone.

Rooting problem...bricked?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I literally just got a G3 D855 and tried to root it using One Click Root. I followed all of the steps and after having to manually boot into download mode, it said that it had completed the process and had rooted successfully and the phone restarted.
I now cannot get past the LG logo. I have tried factory resetting as I can access that menu, and I can only access download mode if I plug the phone into my computer whilst holding volume up.
I don't really know how this happened. If anyone has any advice, please send it my way.
I have tried battery pulls etc.
