I haven't tried the systemless SuperSU but it may activate the SELinux Enforcing mode. Haven't kept up with latest SuperSU but @LinuxGuru007 was suggesting to skip SuperSU 2.66 beta. 2.65 is most likely the most stable systemless root for us, ATM, if 2.66 is suspect.
The SuperSU betas below 2.60 will most likely use the system installed SuperSU and utilize permissive mode for SELinux. IMO, permissive is most likely more stable. The question of which is best? This kernel is most likely not impacted by stability like the initial Chainfire patched kernel was thanks to updates and freeza's optimizations. Just my thoughts based on Chainfire's thread and freeza's OP. I haven't flashed multiple SuperSU betas to test that, just SuperSU 2.52 beta. Testing and feedback would be better to answer that.
Optimizations? I've only updated to OK1 and debloated stock, installed busybox and flashed an audio mod. There's usually Sprint, Google and Samsung apps that misbehave and beg for freezing but they're behaving and I haven't installed apps to make them behave or frozen them and just noticed this playing music- see snapshots.

NOTE - This is for the CyanogenMod based version of the KERNEL - it will only work on CyanogenMod based roms. If you are looking for a Kernel based on stock Asus 4.2.1 then please GO HERE
I have removed my old Rom from this thread and turned it into a kernel thread instead as the rom is old and outdated and the old kernels do not work with newer builds of CM anymore.
So apparently there was a mini protest to me removing the rom. As a result, please see post #2 for information on a updated version of it.
FEATURES
-Based off of the newest Kernel source from Asus (10.6.1.27.5)
-Dynamic Fsync
-Modified Ramdisk for insecure kernel and init.d support
-added in smartassV2 governor - more to come
-Overclocking to 1.7GHZ
-Added CIFS support (needs testing)
-Added support for requested USB network card (DUB-E100 revision C)
-Added SIO, Deadline, and VR scheduler
-Voltage control - should be fixed!
-SELinux support
-GPU overclock and ability to adjust
LINK - GRIMLOCK_KERNEL_CM_V0.8
LINK - GRIMLOCK_KERNEL_PAC_V0.7 - note this is not thoroughly tested and very experimental
Let me know how it goes. From my testing it seems that everything works, including the dock.
Confirmed working on:
CyanogenMod 10.2
OmniRom
AOKP
Confirmed not working on:
PAC
Source code is here
Rom - GRIMLOCK_CM_3.1
For those who missed the GRIMLOCK_CM rom. I present you with Version 3.1
GRIMLOCK_CM_3.1
A tidbit of information about this rom:
Based on 12/09/2013 Cyanogen mod RC
Integrated GRIMLOCK KERNEL V0.7
Stripped down to the barebones (small rom size and most apps can be downloaded from play store)
Asus stock keyboard
Google home launcher (kitkat launcher)
Tweaks for more speedy goodness
Gapps pre-installed
CrossBreeder installed
Performance Profiles in Quick Settings
Patched Services.jar a la Supercharger
Please note that this rom doesn't even have the setup wizard, it will boot directly into the rom. When it boots, you will have to turn on the wifi, connect, and then add your google account. Once the play store updates the apps when you connect, enable google now for the search functionality.
If there are features/apps you want included in this rom, please let me know and I will do my best.

First!
Just downloading to see what you changed in the ramdisk for CM compatibility.
No too much. I mainly combined the ramdisk from the CM10.1 kernel with the zImage from your kernel. Doing this method didn't work on too many kernels though. I could boot with Hundsbuah's kernel, and the performance options said I could OC but no matter what I did the OC didn't work. There was another kernel that I was able to OC with, however its not a GPL-compliant kernel.

All kernels are GPL compliant - or illegal.
For Hundsbuah's kernel, did you notice that you have to set some "boot complete" flag in sysfs? (he is doing it in the cpu2.sh script that cm doesn't use)

What I mean by not GPL compliant is that the person who compiled it wouldn't release his sources for it.
I did not notice that flag. Thanks for pointing that out. I noticed he only has it on cpu2.sh and cpu3.sh. Very intersting
Does it work on tf300tg? Did you patch kernel for 3g?

That's a GPL violation. If that person is on XDA, please report the issue to the moderators. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1650721

I think it doesn't matter, you just need to set it after booting has finished - AFAIK this was introduced because some devices could not run with the maximum overclock, so Hundsbuah limited the maximum frequency until you unlock it.

I have not, but I might be able to, the question is if the rom itself is 3g capable or not. If I get time to get around to it I will need testers for it though.

I'll look into it, I still have a bootable kernel based on Hund's for my private use I will mess around further, but I really like your kernel because it's just so bloody stable. I commend anybody who does kernel work. It took me forever just to compile a stock kernel for the tf300tg until I found out that I didn't need to because the zImage could just be snatched from the system blobs that Asus posted on their website.
Well would you look at that. I edited a line in cpu3.sh and executed it with a scripter and boom! Overclock!
The line I edited it was this: echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/tegra_grhost/enable_3d_scaling - I deleted it because it was killing the script because it couldn't find that particular location.

By changing a few numbers and re-executing the sript, you can change the max frequency that can be run. Anything that I tried over 1.5GHZ was causing reboots though.
Update - Sony Small Apps!
I have updated with a patch to install the Sony Small apps. Please see the OP and Post #2 for more details.
Update - Hundsbuah's Kernel for OC!
GRIMLOCK_CM_HUNDSBUAH'S_KERNEL
Instructions for downloading Hundsbuah's Kerne:
-Download Zip
-flash in recovery
-profit!
If you try this kernel and flash it and like it, Be sure to thank Hundsbuah or shoot him a donation. This is his kernel and deserves all the credit for it. All I did was modify the ramdisk to make it compatible with CM10.1
Right now there is an init.d script in this kernel package that I created that caps the OC at 1.5GHZ. 1.6GHZ can be achieved but the voltages will need to be modified to make it stable. If anybody wants some more info on this let me know

Similar things that i tried to get it to work on CM10.1. Mainly using hunds zimage with the cm ramdisk. But I did change a few init scripts that I haven't tried yet.

Ah, okay. You proly have to add selinux or something.
Update - Version 2.0 - now based on CM10.2!
Changelog:
- Updated to Version 2.0 - Based on Android 4.3 (CM10.2)
- Integrated Hundsbuah's kernel directly into the rom - no need to flash anything separately.
Upon boot, the kernel will overclock to 1.5GHZ by default. Anything higher than that I would consider unstable and may lead to rebooting unless voltages are adjusted.
Please let me know how it runs for you. I have used it for a few days and haven't found any major issues.
Can you make available hunds kernel for cm 10.2 to flash separetely?maybe on a new thread:good:
I will be, I just haven't done it yet.

I release 2 different kernel versions here. One is for sony sensors, since they never have a problem, go for the *Mode* version, you got all working modes there but on sammy sensor you got washed out colors. So I made a second zip which has *Quality* in name, which has stock quality BUT not all camera modes are working. This works on: HydraRom, Sacs Rom, Renovate, everything else needs to be tested
Features of this Kernel:
- Build with latest sabermod Toolchain 7.0
- Build with BPI7 kernel source!
- F2FS compatible
- Choose kernel between quality or modes
- Latest Linux version 3.18.42, is always up to date
- Performance and Batterylife improved
- Choose between different CPU governors: performance, powersave, userspace, ondemand, interactiv (default), conservative
- Built with latest ramdisk sources from samsung (BPH7)
- I/O schedulers: CFQ (Default), ROW, No-op, Deadline, BFQ, FIOPS, SIO, VR, ZEN, FIFO, and SIOplus
- Fixed power efficient wq permission
- Critical TCP bug fixed
- Thermal drivers updated
- Selinux updates merged by google
- Zram LZ4 enabled
- Allow ADB-Insecure
- TCP (Network) control: Bic (default), Reno, cubic, Westwood, Highspeed, Hybla, HTCP, Vegas, Veno, Scalable, LP, Yeah and Illinois
- SeLinux is set to permissive
- All samsung related configs disabled (as knox, tima, restrict rooting)
- force encryption by samsung disabled!
Download:
V1.3 available on AndroidFilehost
Bugs/Problems:
- Camera with washed out colors or with not working modes (depends on your choice)
Instructions:
0. Make a full backup of your phone just in case!
1. Install a custom recovery for your phone, like this one here: TWRP
2. Follow the instructions on the page above, until you get a working recovery
3. Download the Kernel from below and copy it to your phone
4. Reboot to your recovery by pressing volume up, home button and power button at the same time.
5. Now, flash your kernel you put onto the phone
6. Flash supersu, phh's root or xposed, just all things that modify your boot.img

LEGEND!!!!
Thank you for this kernel. I don't see init.d support in features. Is it because it's not supported, or you forgot to mention?
I have a Sony sensor and I flashed both versions, just by curiosity. The colors are the same, which is absolutely normal in this case. But also mods are working the same in both versions of the kernel. Does this mean that the ones with Sony sensor can flash whatever version, because the fixes for Samsung sensor does not affect them in any way (pro mode of camera work very fine, all other mods the same, etc, bluefilter works perfect).
I'm on Renovate 2.0 r45.

DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom

(No mirrors please)
Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.
About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.
Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.

All right crew!
First build of your favorite kernel is up. Wicked!
Just got an OP5 developer unit yesterday from Oneplus, so today you already have a fully featured blu_spark build.
Most of the features you are used to from blu_spark on OP3/3T and others are in, this first build was compiled with Linaro GCC 5.4 (blu_naro 7.1 build still need some work).
Pretty happy with the stable and smooth base, next weeks will bring more of the usual goodies, there's still lot's of room for improvements :fingers-crossed:

Keep it real, keep it true, keep it blu :highfive:
Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones) or OB.
Meaning, if using anything besides stock and stable OOS don't bother posting about it.
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with CM or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Custom build isn't compatible with EAS stuff.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.

Loved your kernel on my old Oneplus X and Nexus 5. So awesome to have you back.

For the time being my priority is OOS kernel and will consume pretty much all of my time since it has lot's of new stuff.
Omg, my favorite kernel now on the OnePlus 5 :highfive:
Wow this was quick, considering you only got the device yesterday.
Keep it up buddy !!
Is this OK, or do I need to flash again? I download the zip from the first post, flash in twrp, the app comes with a update.

You can try any kernel and magisk won't work. Magisk needs fixing, that's not something me or anyone else could change...

yeah. this would be cool! :good: btw. i'm new to s9 came from s7e. is it possible to start dex (when kernel is patched) if i use a mirroring app like sidesync, teamviewer, chromcast, Mobizen, Airdroid and so on...
Not sure what happened, but my phone performs a lot slower after flashing this kernel. Also, is it normal that when flashing the kernel, the device automatically reboots? I also get the SecuritylogAgent notification now.
Just flashed the kernel and my phone i very laggy and it keeps rebooting over and over
Don't know why is this hapening
I found that random rw speed is drastically reduced due to the linux updates. I'll find the related commit and revert it!
Thanks for your understanding
In case anything goes wrong or looks suspicious, you can always attach a log from your problem :good:
Face & Iris Recognition Errors.
I've just flashed kernal and phone boots fine into setup. Face and iris recognition has stopped working. It states it can't see your face or eyes. Is this a known problem?
Thanks in advance.

Not a known problem (otherwise it would be listed in the bug list). Kernel logs are always welcome
Tkkg, can you post a zip with the stock kernel in the mean time for me to flash? My phone is unusable in this state.
Is it me, I can only get big cores to clock to 1794 in Adiutor?

Hey mate!
Good vibes from HTC ONE M7 days :good:
Welcome! Great to see you here supporting the OnePlus 6 - Thanks!!!
Great ! hope you can make a twrp for 6
Awesome to have you already here. The best kernel I had in my OP5, so let's go with the OP6 .
Thank you very much, @eng.stk!
finally...thanks a lot
This is amazing! I used to religiously use your kernel during the nexus 5 times. There was a "xda hiatus" since I changed to S7 Edge.
Now, I am back with OP6 and seeing your kernel again on this forum is just amazing!
sorry but no vibration control? hope this will be added to future updates...
Nice thanks again for the great work @eng.stk first and last post here as always . Hope we see some twrp goodie also from ya here.
Nice to see you here.. Great work.. maybe we can expect twrp also ?
