@kinghunki brother that mean all firmware of 816T goes in this device???
- to conclude while choosing firmware we shouldn't look for model desire820U and just follow bootbodder information ?

There you go look around those posts were like 3 down from yours sheesh
Gingerbread on HTC Desire Z doesn't have an exploitable method to root the phone. So the first thing we need to do downgrade the phone to Froyo (2.2). After that you will be able to root your phone permanently and also unlock your boot-loader allowing you to install any custom rom for your device.
1. Go to this guide. Follow it(Use the PDF - its easier).
2. Pick a rom from this forum.
3. Enjoy the best side of android.
Hope you got your answers OP, try to search before you start a new thread.

hello sir,
i am from India, i bought from online samsung s2 sgh t989d(koodo) unlocked with ics 4.0.4 firmware, i upgraded the firmware to jellybean 4.1.2 using odin. everything is fine but my mobile is not at all getting signal, it is showing my simcard name in the notification panel but there is no reception at all. i rebooted the phone several times but it didnt ask for any unlock code. there is no problem in the simcard. has my phone got locked again??what should i do to get my phone working again?? i didnt do backup before upgrading the firmware. if it is locked, do i have to pay again to unlock the phone?
Hi!
Did you check your APN settings? They should be what this link says,
https://c.getsatisfaction.com/koodo/topics/access_point_names_settings
They are found in settings, under WiFi and Bluetooth click more settings, then mobile networks, then access point names. Check the koodo one, or add a new one and do it exactly as the link shows.
The easiest thing would be to flash the koodo or telus firmware with Odin. Or did you? Or was it the T-Mobile version.

Oh....wait. I'm tired. Didn't read that very well. You're in India? Then its still probably your APN settings, but you need to find out what they are for your carrier there.
How did you unlock the phone for other carriers? A paid service?
Anyway, once unlocked it should stay unlocked. ?
