(Unlock Boot-loader) Well its a trial only - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

well i would like to ask if that will work concerning h815p model which uses the same images like h815
if we could use this module to change our imei / id etc. (after backing them up through same module) to be similar to same info provided from h815 model
then go through official steps of bootloader unlocking
then after unlocking using the same tool to restore our imei/id...
will that work ?
I am not an expert but just trying :highfive:

sorry?

I think reiko means that changing IMEI/IMSI is ilegal, but IMHO i doubt that anyone will go after you if you are going to restore it back in couple of hours...

please don't forget the 818P model I'm there for test

The problem is that fastboot is disabled on the 818 model of I'm correct. So we can't flash the unlock.bin right? @autoprime
Sent from my LG-H818 using Tapatalk

Wouldn't this permit to take an existing Imei/Id pair and unlock bin, unlock the BL and do it also on a H815 or others ?

The problem is that the module does not really change imei at low level... It only masks it when android boots... So probably fastboot will detect the real imei of the phone

We need to make sure about that it claims that it changes it totally
We can be sure by changing the id through the module then regenerate it through fastboot if its the same as original then its just a mask if not then its really changed how does that sound?

there are ways to change your imei low level, even if this one doesnt work. if you find someone who has unlocked the device and wishes to share his imei and unlock.bin, feel free to try, but it has extremely high chances of bricking..

well it might but chances are very very low. the issue is the carriers have it locked or region the phone belongs to. and there hasnt been a way to access bootloader. no one has found a way.

new way to root MM with locked bootloader ?

hi !
@codeworkx and others dev with Android knowledges & hacking here :
In theory and technicaly : it's possible to root this MM by flashing modified (rooted) KDZ file ,by lgup ???
because it's the only way to write all the firmware (kernel,system...) with this damned bootloader ...
no ?!
thank in advance

Don't think that a modified kdz will be flashable. That would be stupid.
You only can root a phone through security bugs.
not possible at the moment. Hopefully there will be a hole to poke with hate this locked bootloader thingy. wish I had a eur ver.

ok... it's a bad idea ?!
it's strange that hacking development never have found a breach on this MM ....and it seem that it's definitively lost (like to unlock unoficialy this bootloader)
(.....and thank for your great work on cm and principaly for your snap camera too )
It's a definitive discontinued way ?
it's really impossible to modify a kdz ?

You can modify everything. But why should the phone accept a modified kdz?
Pretty sure the kdz files are signed with a secret key only lg knows.

{FIX} No Network After Update to MM {LG G3 D855}

Hello All,
After many attempts for several days to fix this problem after update to MM, i found this way and it's works perfect with me.
1.. Downgrade to lollipop 5.0
2. Root your device and install TWRP recovery
3. install CandySIX Rom
4. Try connect to your carrier network (at the first time it not give you anything ) , try several times
5. Reboot your device now , you will find that your phone connect to you 4G carrier
6. Install CloudyG3 2.5
7. Enjoy
And now everything works well and the problem resolved.
I tried this fix but id didn't work for me.
I have an LG D855 which I bought from China as EU model. Unfortunately it is probably not.
After I install Lollipop, I get the well known "Current version not avaliable for user!" message. Then I installed CandySIX ROM (the latest 1.1 version) and I got the same problem as with CyanogenMod. If my SIM is inserted the phone will hang (with screen shut down) a few seconds after boot. Without SIM everything works fine.
Which versions of ROMs (stock 5.0, CandySix) did you use? Any other advises what should I try?

Sorry for my late reply. I was at holliday and didn't have time to check it until now. I don't think my phone is a Taiwan version. According to IMEI the region code is A6GBTN. So it should be a Great Britain phone I believe.
I checked what is the latest firmware for my phone, downloaded the KDZ and installed it using LGUP. But I'm getting the same error. I do believe my "misc" partition is messed up. What could I do?

Look , i don't think that you have a problem with IMEI, it's normal thing to see IMEI and IMEI SV.
you need to try all possible ways to fix it including my way.
Look at this thread [RADIO/MODEM] [d855] LG G3
then choose another modem like 21C ... I'm on 20A modem and everythink works well with me.
Good luck Bro.

H815(SEA) Unlock.bin

Hello guys, Im using South East Asia(SEA) variant of LG G4 and few times ago SEA variant owners were able to get Unlock.bin from LG Developer site. But now you can't get access from the LG Developer site.
Therefore i need a Unlock.bin from a SEA variant

So you need someone that can access the website of LG developers and give you your own unlock.bin because you can't ? Or just wanted a random unlock.bin (this can't unlock your device)?

Will doing something like that can unlock bootloader, I mean if we edit unlock.bin and put our device id will it unlock the bootloader there is no further security.
Please update me on this I also have H815 SEA and I would also like to enjoy CM if this is possible.

They have said officially that H815 SEA don't support unlocking bootloader, it happened for a short period of time which was meant for internal testing purpose.
Now I don't know what else can be done.

Flashing a 811 kdz should work in term but high rate of failure and hardbrick. It's the only way that we could use to unlock !
I'm planning to flash a turkish kdz version numbered of v20g. Creator of the thread says it can be flashed on every variant

Unfortunately the G4 on Nougat cannot be downgraded to allow root. Maybe some Developer in the future will bw able to make root for Nougat.
