hello ,
this thread is to find an answer for the question about which build is better for our DHD , i am talking here about the performance , not the appearance ...Due to our limited battery capacity ( 1230 mah) is sense builds better in performance and specially battery life than non-sense roms due to kernel issues ?
You just started one. Best way to find out is to flash and find out yourself. Not one user uses the phone like another, so performance and everything varies, and it is also based on an users taste.
The battery life is quite the same, i tested sense and non-sense roms. The only thing i recognized, is that without sense there is much more RAM available. So some apps and especially some services like tune-in player in the background dont close themselfes due to low free ram space. for me there is no way to use sense based roms.

Good question! I noticed that on GB my battery last less that one day on stock rom, but on very good GB w/sense rom I passed the day. I don't even tried a GB non sense. Now new JB roms are all almost beta and some of them don't make you 24 hours.. :silly: But on JellyTime (aokp), sometimes I can get rid of the day. I tested Blackout ICS and aospX and I can say that I can reach without any problem at least 48 hours of middle-use.
Good Flash
I know the stock standard Sense 6 One M8 is getting great battery life results from majority of users. I am curious how the GPE is faring with battery life ? Anyone here with the GPE M8 phone, or the GPE ROM, is the battery life the same as the Sense 6 version ? Or worse ?
Thanks.
I used stock ROM, then I rooted my phone and I've got resurrection remix ROM for lollipop.
Today, friend told me that he got back to stock on his G2 and that gives him the best battery life.
So i just flashed VikingWay v1.2 but I think it drains battery too fast. What should I do?
What is Best ROM for d855 to have the best battery life? Or any other mods/features/kernels
to better the battery?
You can try stock chupachups 4.2 or AndroidNow HD ROM from Poland forum just look on google for it. I'm using the second one and for me battery is great around 5 hours SOT.
I used stock kitkat and SOT was 4 hours,
then I used cloudy kitkat and it was round same,
then I tried cloudy lollipop 2.2 and its better ... like 5 hours screen time,
but I will try cyanogenmod someday ... camera will go down maybe ... lets c
Phone is beast and best ... hungry for battery all time.
i just exchanged my oneplus for a lg g3 i can see the battery isn't the same
but still the phone is overall way better.
just used to 6h+ screen on on a basic day with 2h of gaming
I have sony xperia S , and i have Naosp rom 6 , is it the best custom rom , 100% stable and better battery life???
No ROM is 100% stable, even those released by Sony.
I found that Mickybart's nASOP 6.0 ROM was very good for battery life with an idle time of 6-7days projected.
As the screen of the Xperia S is a power hungry beast due to it's hardware design the on screen time will always be limited.
I recently purchased a HTC 10.
I have it rooted and s-off. I find the battery life rather poor, again it was kind of expected as my old HTC 7 and 8 were pretty poor. The 10 came with the latest and last sense firmware which is Oreo.
Last week I downgraded to Nougat firmware and installed the last Nougat version of Maximus. I was hoping this would offer up better battery life.
Seems to be the general consensus that Oreo has the worst battery life for our phones, does this include both Sense and AOSP roms?
What is the opinion of Marshmallow Sense based roms, could I squeak a little more out of my battery if I downgrade to Marshmallow?
Would really like some ideas to maximise the best from my battery. Not too bothered about tons of features, however I would prefer to remain with Sense.

I found that N firmware and lineage based roms, lineageOS16, crdroid, etc is best for battery.
If you want Sense, then I highly suggest Leedroid ROM, or just flash the N RUU and keep it stock with Root if wanted flash Magisk.
There's also some nice stock Verizon ROMs in Verizon 10 section by Santod.
Download accubattery application from Playstore and see what your battery capacity is at..
I bet if used its not that great unfortunately. QC3.0 didn't help at all..
I'm at around 2,000-2,200mAh outta the 3,000mAh.
It takes a few charge sessions to get an accurate reading. Also I've found on P ROMs it's telling me 66% but on N it's 74%
Hope this helps.
A Nougat release of Leedroid would you suggest?
Thanks.
