My N7 fell in water the other day and even though there are no issues with the tablet itself, I'm not sure if the touch screen was damaged or not.
Whenever I scroll on a page or app, it looks like the screen is tearing or lagging and it seems like it's take a split second to catch up with the scrolling. This doesn't appear to be the case with watching video though as playback appears fine.
I'm running 6.01 on the Pure Nexus Rom, in case it's software based but I don't think it is as I was running a different 6.01 rom prior to that with the same issue.

Can anyone who has played this game quickly test how long it takes to reload the level when you tap the reset button in the top right?
Cos it takes me a good 3-4 seconds before the level loads.
Initially on the iOS version that I've tried it instantly reloads the level and I just assumed it was just bad coding on the developer's behalf for android.
But I recently tried out the Meizu MX phone here in HK and I tested that phone too, and it instantly reloaded.
So basically my question is something wrong with my phone or is there some compatibility issue with ICS etc?
Also as a side note, my galaxy tab 10.1 reloads rather slow as well.
Ya its the same here. You mean when you hit refresh/redo it sits at black screen with "loading..." for 3sec or so? That's what I get. but the game is smooth and not sketchy.
Man thats a bit of a shame.
Not sure why on the Meizu MX running 2.3.5 its pretty much instant though.
Probably an ICS compatibility issue maybe?

I'd assume so.
Hi.
I recently noticed that the screen is performing some sort of auto-dimming when displaying content, just like Samsung TVs do on Dinamic Mode. This is not to be confused with auto-brightness, it's something completely different that happens at every brightness level and in every screen mode (Standard, Dinamic, Cinema, Adapt Display).
I first noticed this watching a TV show with subtitles. Whenever the subtitle kicked in, the screen will shift the luminosity of the image displayed, dulling it, resulting in washed out blacks and contrast. After the subtitles disappeared, the image was restored to its previous state. I thought it was app-related, but it happens everywhere. It even happens when displaying still pictures in gallery apps or using comic reading apps.
Cycle between this two images and check it out. Maybe subtle, but it's annoying as hell. I'm on 5.1.1 and I don't know what may be causing this, but I can't recall it happened in KitKat.
Any help will be appreciated.
Not sure if I notice this back on KitKat, but I believe this could possibly be a standard feature among IPS screen?
My VAIO Pro 11 laptop and my Xperia Z1 also experiences it, albeit only if the changes are total ie if the displayed colors cover the majority of the image for instance when changing from a black image to a white image, in which the screen will brighten a bit when more whites are displayed, and vice versa. So it's a more subtle change than what you are experiencing there. However I have not yet notice this on my Note 2014, maybe I wasn't attentive enough. Not really a major bother though.
Hi.
I have an standard IPS desktop monitor and it surely doesn't show this behavior. I have even calibrated it with a colorimeter and it works flawlessly within its specifications. Anyway, I don't recall the Note 2014 having an IPS screen but a simple LCD, but maybe I'm wrong.
I will later try and record a video, I hope I can capture the tablet performing the tweaks. I find it so annoying that I hope downgrading to KitKat will solve it, if there is not other way to fix it.
Here, I managed to capture on camera exactly what I see. Check it out:

I don't know what is causing this.
I just got the Nexus 5X some 2-3 weeks ago. First week or two was smooth sailing after setting up the phone as a brand new phone in the initial setup process. I did not restore a backup from a previous phone.
Since then, I've had occasional freezing of apps like the homescreen freezes momentarily and becomes black and unresponsive only to be back to normal shortly thereafter. Likewise I had freezes with Google Music and Chrome. Today however has been my worst attack of freezing. I am reading some articles on Chrome and the bloody thing freezes like crazy. Scrolling is unresponsive and very rough, the interface becomes unresponsive. Home/Back/Recents buttons become unresponsive. I am not sure if the websites are at fault, they are salon.com and huffingtonpost.com that I am reading. And this issue seems very pronounced and doesn't go away in a short while like before. I still have the problem after like 10-15 minutes. Looks like other apps like Facebook are mostly okay, although I see a occasional slow down there.
I note that I am charging my phone while doing this browsing and I am wondering if the heating up of the phone due to charging is causing issues. Is this what people refer to as lag on this phone? Is there a solution?
EDIT: I used an app called "CPU temp" and saw the temperature to be around 39-40C. Also, I read elsewhere on XDA that the CPU is throttled at around 37C in the default kernel. So could this be why I saw all that lag? Now I don't seem to have any issues with Chrome anymore and I can navigate any page including on Salon.com fairly well although Salon is still a bit laggy on not just this but other phones I have, so their website may also have some issues.
Hello, I've been noticing this weird issue since day one with my device. The screen will dim and brighten itself periodically through use. I have only noticed it while using amazon instant video, a few games, and occasionally netflix. I have not noticed any dimming/brightening while watching Kodi. My aftv2 is currently rooted, but I have noticed this since originally setting it up on stock, and all the way through 5.0-5.05 or whatever the current version is.
It basically looks like the screen dims itself a little bit or brightens back up and it is really annoying (at least to me, not sure the wife even notices). When it happens, it looks like when a phone dims itself automatically from a sensor. I have not seen anybody else mention this issue, and I am fairly certain I'm not insane (or at least not because of this).
FWIW, I am using fairly new LED samsung "smart" tv and the input i'm using for the aftv2 was previously used by a nexus player that i have since gotten rid of and never had any dimming issues with. I have had all sorts of other devices used on this tv's from pc's, gaming consoles, receivers, etc with no issue.
any ideas?
When I got my 5T one year ago, I noticed that the scrolling was a bit jittery while I touched the screen. Any scrolling that happened when I wasn't touching the screen was smooth so I figured it had to do with the digitizer. I read some thread about it but never found a solution, and I finally accepted the fact that this phone didn't feel as smooth as my Nexus 6 did on this regard.
However, after the Android Pie update, the scrolling is now much smoother. There's barely any noticeable difference between scrolling with my finger in Chrome and scrolling that happens without interaction (like when I push away a page and let it scroll by itself).
Am I the only one experiencing this? Maybe I'm extra sensitive to these things, or perhaps my phone had some weird bug that finally got overwritten with the OS update - I never tried factory resetting my device.
