htc one x

hi guys
I have a chance to get htc one x cheaper from china because my friend goes to china (I live in UK).
Is any difference between european and chinese version?
Can chinese version be flashed to custom rom as well as UK version?
Based on my experience, I think u can flash custom roms as usual. After u have rooted ur phone, all phones from different region will be the same when it comes to custom Rom. The only thing that can make a difference is cdma and gsm.

so do you think phone will work with no problems?
anyone else any ideas? thanks
No differences other than region. You might get official updates a couple weeks later as x.x.401 models get updates first.
You can get any where you need , just the OTA gets delayed by region. All other things are same in all country HOX

Getting rid of branding

Hi all,
sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm a brand new HTC One X owner. I'd like to have the very standard software (ICS in this case) without the branding of T-Mobile. I've bought my phone in Poland (Europe Version).
Any step-by-step tutorials in here? I surely don't want to brick my new phone
not 100% sure on this but think only one way to debrand that is to unlock bootloader and root then install custom rom could be wrong tho

Well, I've got no problem with unlocking the bootloader etc. but I would like to have the normal ICS with HTC's Sense on the phone rather than some cyanogenmod or something along those lines. If anyone can help me out with the needed files and a step-by-step how-to (I'm not dumb when technology is involved, but I have absolutely no contact with the moding scene of Smartphones).

I think ARHD is meant to be pretty close to the standard sense experience. Cyanogen is a good release though, but maybe wait until its more stable on one x?

While i might instal this rom one day, I'd like to give the stock version a try. I don't want all the bull**** from t-mobile though The bootanimation alone is kinda ruining the experience for me

ARHD is a stock Rom tweaked to make it even better. you will find it much better, that is the only way to remove it, or rooting and flashing another boot animation
Easiest way I found was to unlock bootloader, root then delete all the carrier bloat you don't want and then flash a new bootanimation

Since you still opt for ICS the ARHD is the best alternative choice! Just search the thread on the XDA Developer you'll find it.
I have a T-Mob as well but flashed on CM10 for JellyBean and so far works great!

Taiwan M8x

Hi guys,
I have an imported 32gb Taiwanese M8x, FA serial.
It unlocked, s-off's and has a GPE rom running. Its blazing and it works on all Telstra frequencies.
My question is what is different about the M8x vs the regular M8?
Its it an LTE-A version?
Oh and I got it because the two Chinese made versions has terrible screens.

Yes, All international ROM can be flash on M8X should be no difference other than country.
CPU is clocked slightly higher on the M8x. Also, I think some folks with the M8x have failed trying to flash radios for other M8 versions.

HTC One (M8) HTC m8tl MT6582 need help with recovery.img

Hello
Is there anybody who has chinese version of HTC one (M8) called HTC one (M8) 4GLTE移动版?
I need stock recovery .img file to flash it and back to normal
Best way is to use Flashify app and at Backup/restore section make backup of current recovery then sent it to me via mail
i guess it saves files on sdcard and not so difficult to find it out
Hope for your help bacause i'm really stuck with wrong flashed recovery and now can't even boot my phone in android system recovery 3e
Thanks
This is not an HTC M8. So not really. At least, not in this forum. HTC don't use Mediatek processors on the M8, so it sounds like a fake.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I highly doubt fakes have a big dev community outside of China. Learn Chinese? Learn to dev? Both?

Are you sure? Because the M8tl dual sim is supported by ViperOne. I'm going to say not fake.

Well, now I'm not sure. I said earlier about a MediaTek processor, but now I don't know why I said that 4 months ago.

I have found out from a user in Beijing that the M8tl is in fact not dual sim. The venom devs made a mistake I think. I messaged them in Hangouts, and am waiting for a response. That won't likely happen till tomorrow since they all live in Europe and are probably sleeping right now.
Maybe they weren't wrong after all.
