CyanogenMod 13 ported to G925T
Based off of sktjdgns1189's sources
Not stable, development thread only
This thread will follow the progress of porting CM 13 by sktjdgns1189, to the S6 Edge variant by T-Mobile.
These are unofficial builds, and will not be supported by sktjdgns1189, tdcfpp or arter97.
I only decided to post this since the sources seem to be semi-stable at the moment.
This thread will probably get shut down due to the developers not wanting "confusion", but who cares, we'll see how long it lasts. If you are looking for progress on the "official" version, look here:

Disclaimer:
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.

Sources setup for device, latest changes applied. Building now. Let's see what happens.
Build completed, testing if it works.
Doesn't boot.
Recompiling with fixes.
Sorry for posting in the dead thread. Had the window open from the night before.
I'm a sucker for a good beta test and I'd love to test and break the hell out of it. I'll see if I can get it to compile to tonight or in the AM.
Unfortunately my dev laptop hd died on me and although my data was backed up... nothing is working quit right.
TLDR: A link would be a great help otherwise I'll sort it out once my dev environment is back up.
PhilD (phild at creation-inc.net)
I am avaliable to help test
Question, how different is all the the G92XT models? I'm assuming any fixes on one would be able to utilized on the other.
Should be have a list of what works on the International version that doesn't work on the T variant?
---------- Post added at 02:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 PM ----------
I know data isn't working and I've attached logs from the modem.log and logcat.log. These logs were taken from my G920T sitting in airplane mode until 1:53 when I immediately turned airplane mode off. I've trimmed the logs of anything before 1:53 but if need I can supply those.

Anyone get this installed?
Anyone else really excited about getting this on their phone? Not feeling the ' buzz' like with previous devices....or am I in the wrong spot and everyone's got it installed already ;P
Is in call audio/mic working with /T variants of the Edge using the latest sources released this morning?
No, but the back button is and a lot of UI Lag is gone from previous versions
How we looking?
^^What the hell. Someone should just close this thread until something gets posted. Save us from reading these kinda of post.

Almost everything works, but some features are broken or not implemented.
This ROM isn't meant for every day use, it's just to play around with it as now.
UPDATE: starting with 20141118 nightly the system is almost completely stable and usable, yet you shouldn't use it as your daily driver.
This ROM is NOT my work. It was compiled DIRECTLY from CyanogenMod source, without cherrypicks or other additions.
Here is a video overview of the ROM, please subscribe if you want to support me
UPDATE: the video is now outdated. Nightly 20141118 has solved many of the bugs you see.
UPDATE: Here's a new video showing CM12 working WELL on the G2:

UPDATE: starting from the 20141201 nightly root is built in! Don't flash the superSu package!
Outdated:
Warning! Flashing SuperSu is likely to break your system, making internal storage inaccessible! Flash at your own risk!
UPDATE!
The latest versions of SuperSu seem to be working. It should be relatively safe to flash them.

If you flashed this package and you can't access your memory, there's a chance to make it work again by using these two commands on the device terminal:
Code:

restorecon -FR /data/media/0

If you flash the ROM and the cellular doesn't work (i.e. no PIN requested on boot), flash a CyanogenMod 11 build, boot it, wipe cache+data and reflash this ROM.
Nice

No, all these issues are still there
I think a list of bugs in the first post would be useful
The Thread has been cleaned.
Now a warning to everyone. Want to throw insults? Dont. Want to threaten to have people banned? Nice way to get yourself banned in the process. The next person that thinks they can swear just because it stars it out is mistaken. You will still be removed from the site for doing it.
So here is my advise. Dont like the rom. Then move on somewhere else and keep your thoughts to yourself. Have an issue with someone? Take it to PM.
I think stealing other people's hard work porting cyanogenmod is not worth a few of them leaving our forum to develop on alternatives. is this what you guys want for g2 development?
This is clearly the result of some assistance by the original Cm12 team posting their code on github. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THERMAL CONTROL! I don't know any more details other than that this release is very closely timed with the last and it seems quite suspicious. Let's hope development continues in the future, that will now be the indicator for the future.
I have no other opinions but this is simply disrespectful to the open source community and is costing us the creator of blackbird kernel

Don't use this build... That's a good indicator.
What he's trying to say is that he hasn't tried it most likely on anything but an emulator..
Wow! some people jump to conclusions so quick.
I assume this build is from the github.com/cyanogenmod cm12 branch and the other build is by github.com/lg-devs cm12 branch. Different source and technically that would make this the official CM but just early stages and compiled by un-official devs.

It took me a long while to realise that, that's for sure.
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions
First time flashing CyanogenMod 12.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
LOGS LOGS LOGS!!!! Use this: SysLog by Tortel
If you have a hard reboot (to the vendor boot logo, not the CM boot logo), use adb or any other rile explorer tool to pull a copy of
/sys/fs/postore/console-ramoops
after the reboot and provide that.

Issues:
all cores are online all the time
call recording
fingerprint sensor
flip cover / smart view case support
fm radio
other gestures (I don't even know what they are because I didn't run stock long enough to find out so if you want support tell me)
selinux is in permissive mode
With the gapps that I'm using there is also an issue with the play store app which will fail to install certain apps if you have a sdcard mounted. The workaround is to go to Settings >> Storage and unmount the sdcard and then install the app. I currently believe that this is a lingering gapps problem.
[*] These features I am not planning to implement them in 12.1 because the time to do so would be very high and they have changed entirely in 13. Hopefully the fingerprint sensor will be easy in 13 after Huawei releases the M build.

I think I just have to change the installer script to allow you to install it but at an ALPHA stage, I don't want to have added confusion of multiple devices. Once it gets more stable and more people independently figure out to change the installer script and report that it works, I'll feel more confident making the change to allow it...

Updated the "source code" link (I forgot about that field xda makes you fill in when I cloning another device to help me create the thread).
Speaking of the kernel, we are definitely having some serious slow downs because the source code that was officially released doesn't seem to actually match the software that was released but wimberly (is that @wimberly6, I'm not sure?) has been helping to try to get the right source released. Kudos to him for that.

This one is all @crpalmer, likely with help from @ciwrl, @deadman96385 &@inkslinger. I did not contribute to this.
I'm looking into getting the fingerprint scanner working, but with my limited skills & possible missing stuff in the kernel source, the excellent devs working on this ROM will most likely figure it out long before I can.
This is a great ROM for an alpha. It is indeed smooth

You will get BUILDS FROM Two Developers: One is @NUCLEAR MISTAKE and @DHO

We have inbuilt MAGISK support Just open it from developers options. You are good to go.
A word about the OREO updates: Still the oreo is in its infancies. As far as we are concerned we dependent on linageos for the trees. So before giving you any new build. As Vanir always stands for
Best experience, we will make sure that the linageos is well settled. Only after that, the real magic will start. Giving and talking about Oreo builds will not yield anything.

well Vanir is based on cm13 . Some people are saying CM is laggy these days due to live display. Don;t remember what was the issue. But this ROM has lot of under the hood enhancements with love from aosp. So you can try both and report back. Vanir is buttery smooth.

Oh well maybe that's true, regardless of that though you were one to bring it here yeah? Or was that some other dev/Porter?
I thank everyone for any amount of time at all they put into any kind of furthering, of the current condition of any situation. Progress usually only happens in small steps and if only big ones are ever made, and no one is around to do what some people call small steps, or less important stpes, or things less deserving of a thank you than the large steps, then progress never happens.

It's quite obvious brother, because @PecanCM is maintaining every commit related to the source code for the development of LineageOS for Nicki.
But if you're expert at this work, I request you to port MIUI ROM for Nicki (including dual - support).

So, that guy over there (and me) do not have permission to officially release LineageOS to the download center?
But I'm not even an expert and I don't have experience with fixing ROM bugs, so I'm afraid that I can't port MIUI. But I will try it out later if I don't have any work to do.

Bro you can port any rom and eventually you will get to know everything because your lineage os build was good so you can port roms if you like and any rom of your choice... Maybe you can also become official maintainer of DU, etc.
Patch for Dual SIM!? Same bugs!?
Stop it, please

MIUI is practically an not accomplished dream for us !!
Guys, there is a good news and a bad news. Good news is that I acquired a new PC that can build ROM better. But the bad news is because PecanCM is doing LineageOS builds. As a result, this project will be abandoned.

There's a good news and a bad news. Good news is that you've got a good PC which you can use to port MIUI  . And, the Bad news is that we all members are eagerly waiting and craving so hard for someone to port MIUI for Nicki! :crying:

Truly said man! I think I'll not be able to use MIUI ROM on Nicki in this life. :crying:
SORRY IN ADVANCE IF THIS IS POSTED IN THE WRONG AREA!!!!!!!
How come no one wants to build lineage 18.1 for the galaxy s20 plus?
is it because no one owns one?
I have a galaxy s20 plus if anyone wants to start this project.
LET ME KNOW!!
I'm currently trying to buid lineage 17.1 for one UI 2.1
but i cant even get a successful build.
i keep failing somewhere near the end of the build ill post a log next time.
I'm wondering the same thing. Just got my S20+ g986w and would like to unlock the bootloader, but without custom ROMs, I don't see too much reason for doing it.
I appreciate everything everyone is doing as most devs do it without getting anything in return! I just think this device with all thats going for it should be more popular than the regular S20. It's funny as I have the S9 and the S9+ was more popular but now it seems to be reversed with this series.
You're posting in the wrong place. That's the first thing, the 2nd.
Just a few posts below is the LOS thread. Did you care to read through it? There are builds for S20+ (y2q) and if you join the Telegram group you will find a more recent one that fixed the fi fingerprint location icon issue that existed on the first build made.

sorry i just got back, thanks you guys for the input! i really appreciate all the resources! i look forward to becoming a valuable part of the community. I know my questions seem trivial but I'm absolutely stumped when it comes to ROM building for unsupported devices, yet it seriously interests me. I'm not looking to just grab ROMs. I'm hoping to be very useful in the community! by the way i am a guy, lol i just thought it would be a funny linux username for my machine "[email protected]" lol ill post my email and git repo shortly and updated prof. pic. I've been trying to get a build to sucessfully complete for two weeks now. Hoping to gain some insight as to what i may be doing wrong...

I'm looking for any detailed documentation or videos on porting new ROMS can i build lineage 18.1 for my device?
Open your ears and open your eyes before you open your mouth. For best results use them proportionally.
