Hi there.. is there any new development with regard to this.. it would be great to have this function on our device while using messenger.. thanks in advance.
This is something i intend to work on as soon as my device arrives. I will keep you posted.
its possible if htc releases their cam api
i think i read somewhere that HP were realeasing info abt the ipaq line's camera apis, so it should be possible to develop something like this for the ipaqs
I don't know if it is the right place to put an idea or suggestion...sorry if it not
the tytn1 have a camera in the front, but it can be used only by VOIP calling, so it is possible to make a program or some change in hte configuration or in WM that allow us to use this camera in another applications (for example messenger or skype). I don't know if it is possible or not but i don't know too much of programs.
thank you!
Walter
(PD: sorry but my english is not good)
hm nice idea.
I´m also interested in ! Is it possible to make normal photos with the front camera?
On skype website (more precisely on the helping forum) they explained that it was probably impossible to use the video calling on pda phone, because of some problems of data compression (the video is compressed before it is send, and pda processors aren't fast enough to do it), and they wouldn't change everything in their software, to make it compatible between PC and pda worlds.
For now at least...
Sorry about that, it would be a nice feature with our Hermes.

Guys,
Amongst you are there any developers that know the inner workings of the HTC Camera Application and the Aperture Speed etc of the touch HD and Diamond... in addition does anyone know of any documents that clearly outline which cmos sensor is used by each phone?
Strange request I know but if somebody can point me in the right direction that would be superb.
Hello friends.
I am looking for an application for measuring car x and y tilt for offroad uses with 4x4 vehicle. Only one suitable app I found is the Kai's water level with its gyrometer feature, but this is very small and in my case I don't need bubbles,so I want to get a software to do my job,but with much larger indicator, angles and warnings as this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QegwIr4dle8
Is there anybody here, who can mix both functionalities of these softwares for me(cause I am not skilled with C)to one application? Super graphic effects aren't necessary.
We started an thread here:
Its graphics is now completed, but we need someone to make this graphics alive with G-Sensor.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=568139
Is here anyone able to help us please? Thanks guys.

Are you using Gcam?
Hi,
i don't have this device at the moment.
I am thinking about buying it. But now i realise that a lot of phones do have a camera 'pro' or 'expert' mode but
they offer no manual exposure (like Samsung A71) or only very short time. This is why iam asking...
THX regards....

Just checked it for you. As far as I can see the longest exposure time I'm able to choose in expert mode is 16 seconds on my X2 EU version running the latest a18 update. All the best.
