I get that all the time.......

Normally not a fan of Otterbox products but the one designed for Xoom definitely looks nice.
Price and too much thickness, to my liking, are my issues right now. =P I'm looking for considerable thickness and it'd be made of something (wooden? bamboo?) and leather.

Pricey? Nah.
I don't even think this is too bad as far as price goes. The protection is well worth it. It seems to be the same figure/shape/size as the otterbox designed for the ipad, which I like. The snap on kickstand is an awesome addition for desktop use.

Thats exactly what it is. Like the Motorola DroidX, it seems this is going to have one as well. I can tell you from personal expierence that even with a screen protector under the built-in otter box protector, it will not affect the touch screen or its response time.

this looked good until I read the tech specs pdf, the defender case weighs 240g...that would make the total weight closer to a 1kg!

Now that is a case! I will be all over that when it is released.

I am pretty sure that the cover can be used as a stand and to cover the screen. If you don't want to use it as a stand while using the Xoom, you can clip it to the back...similar to the iPad case I think.

PDair leather case has arrived

My black crocodile-styled PDair bookflip case just arrived today. While it makes my GN look and feel classy, it also adds some girth to the originally slim contour. I've enlosed some pics for those of you who are looking for a decent yet inexpensive leather case (less than US$40). What do you think?

Too thick, the OEM case is much nicer IMO.

Don't like the crocodile style much. But I guess that's personal choice.
I've gone for the standard black smooth PD Air which should hopefully be with me in a couple of days. I'll also post some pics when it arrives.

It effectively doubles the thickness of my GN. Still pocketable in my office pants and barely noticeable.

I agree. My official Samsung case arrived in post this morning, great design, it replaces the backcover so adds very little in extra depth

Your entitled to it, I already own a otterbox defender but I wanted something a little slimmer for looks. I was debating between this case and the UAG but I found this one better looking, I didn't like the design of the UAG.

I have the same setup as the pictures posted. I love this case and all its great protection, and it really feels great in hand. However the rubber bumpers on each corner do require a sleight of hand maneuvering the phone out of pockets.

Actually that's the case I'm using (UAG) lol. I find it looks awesome and provides good protection. But yeah, I guess we are two different pees in the same pod

This case actually comes with a decent screen protector. Invisible shield equivalent or better imo.

Edit: I bought mine about 2 weeks ago from CellGuru for $21 shipped in 3 business days.

I have been waiting for the White to go back in stock at Amazon. I didnt want to buy from a 3rd party.
I went ahead and ordered the Black today and I will decide if I am going to cancel the White order when I get the Black one tomorrow.
I hate waiting just to find out I don't like something.:cyclops:
I had an Amazon return last week. It took 4 days from the time I gave the UPS guy my return until the money was back in my account. can't beat that if you have Prime.

I need a screen protector that covers the entire front of the phone, so that nothing is exposed. I work machining metal and would easily mess up any uncovered area. I'm still using my Otterbox defender for work, I want to use this case at all times but not until I find a screen protector that covers the entire front of the screen.

The front lip is slightly smaller than the defender, but still offers very good protection.

This. Aside from the average screen protector provided, this case is sexier, thinner, and more ergonomic in my hands than any of the otterboxs. The smooth matte finish is fantastic with great grips on the side to make sure you have a nice grasp of your phone.
I think eventually, since this screen protector does not curve at the edges, nor does it completely cover the screen, I will purchase a higher grade protector for that final bit of comfort. This is a fantastic case that guards the phone at every angle.
My heart still wants a UAG though..

according to their site, its listed as "coming soon", so i doubt anyone has a review of it. but if you have a link where one can be bought, let us know

but ive had this on my s3 and my retarded 3vo and i can say that it does what it does i had a forklift run over my 3vo whit the case on and i will say not a scratch on it it does add size to the phone though so be aware of that

screen protector quality is quite low and doesn't work properly; had to remove it
bit bulky
having difficulty while typing because of the sides
difficult to remove from pockets (jeans)

Try the otterbox commuter case with mime ghost glass. I love the combo, not very bulky and superior protection :good:

Does the defender (since we are talking about bulky cases) have the same issue with the silicon coming loose over time like on the sgs3

Had on on a S3 now have one for the One using the MIME glass instead of the included plastic screen protector. Works great and no problem with pockets.

Do they not make poetic atmosphere anymore?

So I got the blue HTC one and decided I wanted to get a clear case instead of using my uag case cause of how sweet the color looks...I was looking to get the poetic atmosphere case, but can't seem to find them anywhere...were they discontinued? I know there were issues of them falling apart but the one I had on my old gs4 is still going strong...or can anyone recommend another clear hard type polycarbonate case with decent protection? Thanks guys

Well there was one at that link and I don't think it was used, however it's gone now. lol. Good luck finding something new. I know its not really the same at all, but the seidio active is a great case. I just got one myself. If it's not too bulky for you (and it's really pretty thin, much thinner than any other dual layer case I've ever had), it seems to offer a good bit of protection and the kickstand is nice.
As far as clear ones go, I haven't really heard of any that are nice and clear and stay that way. Unfortunately, most of them seem to be either not actually clear, yellow with age, or both.

I wouldn't recommend them anyways, mine felt apart within less than a month. I then returned it and whilst I was waiting for my refund my phone fell out my pocket and the screen cracked :crying:

I ordered the KaysCase clear case for my blue HTC One from Amazon. It's inexpensive and has good reviews.

Workmanship on The Atmosphere was awful, they pretended to have a quality product like so many other companies. I would paid more for one that actually was well made.

I am sad to see it isn't available any more, I am not surprised though given the amount of issues they had with it. My Atmosphere (white) lasted about a month and then started peeling - it sounds like I had one that lasted longer than most too. It also started getting discolored very quickly and couldn't be cleaned. The other colors probably didn't have that problem.
A couple alternative hybrid hard/soft cases that have good reviews here are the Supcase and the Basal - they both have clear backs but the sides are solid. White, black and some other colors are available.
My Supcase is starting to show a little dirt that I haven't been able to clean off completely, but i have been using it for almost 3 months and it is white, so not too much of a problem for me since I expected some discoloration. I liked the frosted back of the Atmosphere because it didn't show scratches like the clear/smooth back of my Supcase, but at least the Supcase hasn't failed.

Yeah I was gunna try the supcase and see how that worked for me...sounds like my best option atm...now what screen protector lol...

Supcase scratched as hell. Believe me u will end getting the griffin bumper. The phone is so pretty to be hidden in ugly bulky case.

My guess is that they have a stock of them available for returns, when that runs out they will probably offer a refund or a different case. It really was a great looking case, but way too many problems.

I messaged poetic on their site and they say it's discontinued. I'm sure it's workmanship. I had one before and sold the phone and recently purchased the phone again. Even with the small flaws it was a great case and one of the best looking ones for the HTC one.

Considering their warranty and the defect rate of the case (namely the rubber separating from the poly), it's probably makes financial sense to discontinue it. I'm on my second one; great while it lasts, though.

How difficult was the warranty process? What specifically did they want as proof of purchase. I ask because of buying through Amazon
