Magnetometer? - Elephone P8000

Hello,
I have elephone P8000. Today I want to use the compass and installed various compass apk from play store, and non was found working. Then I tried to detect weather the magnetometer is there for the compass apk to work properly. I tried to detect it by putting USSD code *#*#0*#, but 'invalid code came.
I want to know weather there is a magnetometer in this mobile?
Is the USSD codes are same for MTK phones as the other android with snapdragon chip?
Kindly help me?
THANKING YOU
DR.SAIDALAVI

Basically the problem is that there is no compass built in

External GPS settings with various GPS apps

One problem I found running WM6, was that finding the right settings for each GPS application for an external GPS is a pain in the butt.
TeleNAV seems to auto detect the external GPS and have no problems, but Windows Live and Google MAPS both need to be manually set. Anyone know the manual settings for both Windows Live and Google MAPS? My external GPS runs on COM6. I've tried numerous settings, and only TeleNAV is able to connect.
Thanks,
fin
I don't think that Google Maps actually works with GPS yet.
Has anyone ever got it working?
I use windows live messenger all the time and use a G-sat bluetooth device that uses com9. I don't have any problems with windows live; however, never got it to work with google maps. I do use the locate me fuction on virtual earth mobile. I set it manual in windows live settings to com9 and in external gps settings i use com9 as well and under bluetooth settings create an outgoing port. hope it helps

No problems with Google Maps with GPS for me.
After numerous attempts at registry changes and finally a hard-reset to unbreak it, I got google maps to work in unmodified black 2.0
You do need to set the program port to something other than the hardware port of the gps.
Does seem to be a little brittle though.

Hi i've been trying to use Remote Sim Access with the phones mentioned above with my Navman device and the Navman says this device is not supported, has anybody managed to get a workaround for this. The option to activate and deactivate it is available and sometimes it works with BMW GPS but not Navman, i would have though Navman and Tomtom are more more popular than BMW navigation. Please help.
I have also checked the HTC Touch Pro with the Navman and they work fine. With the manufacturer being the same and OS being the same as well, why would this fail to work????

[Q] cm11 and ANT Radio

I've had CM11 installed on my Note3 for a while now without any problems (aside from the lack of nfc support).
recently i bought an ANT+ Cadence Sensor and was hoping to pair it with my phone, but the apps that use the ANT radio (map my ride) can't find the ANT hardware or service. I did install the ANT+ services manually and a bunch of other apps including a manager launcher, a demo, etc...
Does anyone know if CM11 for the note3 loses the ability use the ANT+ radio?

Developing wear app using watch GPS standalone (without phone)

A friend gifted to me a SWR50, now I want to develop a very simple app tracking locations using the internal GPS without pairing the phone.
I wrote the code but it only works when paired with the phone, if I turn off the phone (or simply the Bluetooth) the watch no longer receives location changes, if I turn it on the app on watch works again.
Strava and Ghostracer are able to work without the phone but I don't understand how they do, they are closed source so I can't study their source code.
The SDK API documentation doesn't say anything about some special "behavior"
Have you some hint for me? Are there some code I can study, some API documentation

ANT+

Greetings, I have had my Oppo A52 for about 12 months. I'm a keen cyclist consequently use a bike computer and my phone to record my riding activities. My speed annd cadence sensors are ANT+. When I first got the phone I downloaded appropriate ANT+ app from play store to pair between my phone and sensors. Up until the previous OS update all was ok but now I cannot pair the sensors with any of the Apps I previously used.
Could someone advise me how I can get ANT+ to pair with my phone apps.
I normally use My Workouts but when that wouldn't work I tried, Jepster, and IP Bike (IP Bike have there own ANT+ app which wouldn't pair either).
The ANT+ apps installed are ANT+ Plugin manager, ANT Tester (This indicates that The phone is ANT capable because ANT Radio and USB service and ANT+ plugin are installed)
I have corresponded with the developers of My workouts but they are unable to determine why the app wont work.
I know that my sensors are operating because i have replaced the batteries and the indicator lights are operating as well as my normal bike computer.
Thanks in advance for your help to get thing happening again.
