NFC Problem - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After many try to enable nfc when screen off, I want to modifie the app (LgNfc.apk) to enable it, but some mistake in version or other parameters make it no working.
So I decide to copy my original app file to the system app, but after doing that and reanble all the permission on the file with ESExplorer my NFC still not working.
So I decide to demand your help!
Can someone upload the orinigal LgNfc.apk here cause mine still don't work.
I'm on an LG H815 and my version is an V10e-EUR-XX
Please help me to renable this great fonctionnality (and if someone of you have a moded file to enable NFC on screen off I was so happy)

You could check if any of these steps fix it
step 1 clear cache of the app
step 2 reboot after you change it
step 3 double check permissions
step 4 clear app cache (again)
if all else fails:
make a backup of your apps/data, reflash your rooted stock rom (it should keep your apps intact, but just in case it's always nice to have a backup)
But you probably already tried all of these

Thanks for the reply.
But I can't find LgNfc in app list, only NfcSetting.
After reset cache for this and check permission, I reboot my phone but no more here nfc can't be enable....
So I think I must to reflash a rooted rom. But I don't have TRWP installed, can you point me the best option to use it??

Finally I Reinstall mt LG G4 to have the NFC fonction back.....
Many configuration to reinstall but finally have a LG G4 back to life.

[GUIDE] [ROOT]NTT Docomo Fujitsu Arrows X F-02E Root

I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE WORK. I ONLY TRANSLATED THE SCRIPTS TO ENGLISH .
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK OR BREAK YOUR FUJITSU.
I have managed to find a bat file which will allow you to root your F-02E japanese phone.
I have also found a script to allow system R/W made by kikuhare
Steps Involved:
Make sure your phone has 100% charge.
Download the Root + System Mount
Extract the zip's to different folders.
Enable USB debugging under Menu > Settings > Developer Options.
Point to the folder where you extracted drivers from "usb_driver_F-02E_1.0.zip". Wait for drivers to install.
Make sure the phone is connected as PTP not MTP.
CMD into the folder "f-02e_oneclick_su_installer". It is inside the "Root + System Mount_1" files folder.
Run the runme.bat.
Download "Root Checker by joeykrim" from the Play Store.
Run the "Root Checker" app
Wait for the process to finish.
UPDATE System R/W
Connect phone to computer
Download the System Read Write Mounter_1.zip <<<<<< Only need to download if you did not download the "Root + System Mount_1.zip" file.
CMD into the "F-02E_system-mounter" It is inside the "Root + System Mount_1" files folder.
Extract the file and run the"START.bat"
Run everytime the system restarts to mount system as R/W.
Enjoy root .
NOTE: This method does not give full root permissions. You will still be able to underclock the CPU to some degree and use the CoreControl app to disable cores. I will have to run start.bat inside F-02E_system-mounter folder everytime the phone restarts to get system R/W
Drivers: usb_driver_F-02E_1.0.zip
Root Includes System Mount: Root + System Mount_1.zip
System R/W Mounter: System Read Write Mounter_1.zip

No, not enough developers and interest for the phone outside Japan. I doubt anyone will be willing to put in effort as well
Oh well, but it is a very good phone, i think ill still get it though. I just wanted to know is half of it in Chinese even if you select english, i just heard this on youtube about another one of fujitsu's phones?

Only Docomo and Fujistu apps are in Japanese. Everything else is in English.
Thats fine i suppose with root explorer i can delete those apps by deleting the apk in system app? Also if you have xposed app settings you can change the language per app would that also work?

I have just frozen them, just incase if the phone needs the at somepoint. Xposed framework doesnt work as it need system R/W and the root method has not allowed system R/W mainly because the phone bootloader not unlocked. Secondly make sure you do not uninstall/disable the Phonebook and Phonebook Service provided by Docomo. Its key to allowing you to add and sync contacts.
So Xposed wont work at all then, thats a shame what about lucky patcher, does that need R/W?
Sent from my Xperia T
Improved the .bat file. Now you will have system R/W
Download the root file again and run it. Follow the steps starting at 10 if you have already rooted. :good:
Thanks

I may not be able to help any further. I have boot looped my phone. I cannot get it past the NTT Docomo screen. I think I know what is causing it but I cannot get the phone connected to the PC. I may need to send it into Fujitsu.
Good luck on fixing it

I have not been able to overcome the issue. It is a design issue. Because it is waterproof phone the heat cannot disperse.
The only thing I have been able to do is keep the CPU frequency down to lower the time it takes for the phone to heat up.

Hi, i just want to retrieve some deleted files in my memo i accidentally deleted it and i dont have a copy of it.
Let me know if it works for you - although I dont see why it wouldn't.
Also, for anyone that wants Capture+/QuickMemo+ - you can just extract this zip and place the folder (with the .Apk inside it) into /system/priv-app. Make sure the LGQuickMemo.apk has the correct permissions (644 - rw- r-- r--).
Reboot and you should now have the option to put QuickMemo+ in your notification drop down - as well as on your second screen.

This app isn't meant to be installed, you have to manually push the apk and its' folder to the proper priv-app folder. Make sure permissions for folder (0755) and for APK (0644) are good. Then Reboot!

[PROTIP] How to get SuperSu, Xposed App Settings and other apps that dont open to run

Some apps like supersu or xposed app settings dont open on firetv.
Apparently this is caused by the app theme which the firetv is missing. So its unable to open those apps with incompatible themes.
To fix those apps and make em run, you need the xposed module “Holo Themer“.
Its very important that you take the version 3.0 because with all newer versions you might get bottles bootloops when the module is enabled.
Even with that 3.0. you might get a bootloop, but there is a fix for that:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/protip-how-to-fix-bootloop-caused-t3552052
The theme which is working fine for me is the “Material Dark“ one.
Enjoy your Supersu settings and xposed settings etc.

Do you know if this will also fix the ES File Explorer "Sorry, test failed. This feature cannot run on your device" bug too ?

Wonder if this will let us change settings in SuperSU to be able to get ES File Explorer Root to work correctly ???

Was finally able to try it & it let me update the included SuperSU. And that fixed all my ES File Explorer Root option failing problems. So thanks. This option did the trick. Which actually makes sense since when we first rooted our FTV1's doing a normal update in SuperSU when that popped up was part of the process. Will include more details over in the ES File Explorer thread. :good:
Thanks again for sharing this.
FYI, I do deactivate the Holo Themer module to lessen the device random rebooting. So it's good to only have it active on as needed basis.
Big thanks for this info. I can finally change su settings from prompt to grant permission for rooted apps.

But make sure you keep it deactivated or you will start to see multiple random restarts to your device. Only turn it on when needed. Which shouldn't be often. Also turning it on/off requires a reboot too.

Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 SM-G1600 Hacks and Mods

Feel free to add if you have any mod or hack on G1600.
Starting with Volume boost. If you are not satisfied with the speaker volume output on your "Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 SM-G1600", download the attached "Volume Boost" mod and install through twrp. Don't forgot to Wipe Dalvik Cache before rebooting back to system. Volume increase Guaranteed . Even you may want to decrease the volume a bit after applying this mod.
I am using ZCU1APK1 . Rooted and supersu installed. Following xposed version working fine with it.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862685344
Enable Google Assistant on Your SM-G1600
Open Settings --> Applications --> Application Manager, choose Google and clear Google app data. Then Install CCSWE App Manager ( Root ) from Playstore. Open the app and search for Google app, press on Google Assistant and press show icon. Now go back to the home screen and search for the Google Assistant and launch it finish the setup and it should work with long press home, you can also hide the icon after it works.
Does the volume boost only adresses to the speaker? Or to the headphones too?

Headphone too. But, I would suggest to install V4A and DAP to get best output from headphone. And present volume settings I posted, is quite annoying !! I think it is too high. So, before trying it , take a backup of your existing mixer file.
I will be updating this thread with a complete stock based deodexed, zipaligned, bloatware free ( as much I can ) - and tweaked ROM to give better battery and speed. I think I can make the volume better in my ROM with new settings.
New ROM published as promised. Please check following thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ge...-optimized-eng-rom-samsung-folder-2-t36282551
I'm having issues with Google Assistant. Every time I enable it, it disappears again. I also can't get it to work with the long press of the home button (keeps going to Now on Tap).
What's going on? I tried resetting the Google App and Google Play Services (delete all data)
And I also made sure my language was set to English (US)
Exact same thing happening with me. So, now concentrated on ROM. 1st stock based ROM released with bloatware removed and mostly in english. You may try to flash OpenGapp Aroma based installer to enable Google assistant when flashing the ROM, though I already added ro.opa.eligible_device=true in build.prop, but still having issue to make it work with OpenGApp nano. Not yet tried the AROMA version which is having the function to enable Google Assistant on your ROM. Feel free to research a bit and share your output.
Another problem, this is regarding Google Now and the Pixel Launcher
Have you tried moving the Pixel launcher to /system/app or /system/priv-app ?
Every time I try to convert to a system app it disappears.
What am I doing wrong?
---------- Post added at 08:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:31 PM ----------
I fixed the Pixel Launcher on my stock rom (rooted with magisk)
1. install as a regular app > adb install
2. Use a file explorer or adb to move the entire directory of the pixel launcher to /system/app
3. rename the folder to base (since the name of the apk is actually base.apk
4. Set permissions. You will need to change the APK permissions, folder permissions, and also the permissions for OAT and the folder inside of it.
5. Reboot
6. Go to applications, show system applications, and find the pixel launcher
7. Hit disable, it will prompt you to restore factory version.
8. Re-enable
9. Done! Select default apps, home screen, pixel launcher
10. Swipe left for google now
Still haven't figured out assistant. I await your response on that.
i added in /system/priv-app
Hello. I need verry urgently rom with goole services and all tweakes enabled. I have some problems with accesibility, talkback dosn't turned n, and shine plus screen reader started, but turned f, after few minutes on standby shine plus has stopped woking. [GUIDE] Remove suggestions from settings (Stock Android 10)

Hi there!
So, anybody who updated to android 10 knows about the annoying suggestions appearing in settings, which at the moment can't be dismissed or swiped away. Clearing the data of Settings Suggestions app can "fix" the issue momentarily but it'll come back again. Seems like the issue is about suggestions.xml file (/data/data/com.android.settings.intelligence/shared_prefs/suggestions.xml) not updating the boolean values correctly.
Examples:
Code:
<boolean name="com.android.settings/com.android.settings.wallpaper.StyleSuggestionActivity_is_dismissed" value="false" />
Code:
<boolean name="com.android.settings/com.android.settings.wallpaper.WallpaperSuggestionActivity_is_dismissed" value="false" />
The above lines must be changed from "false" to "true" in order for the suggestions to be dismissed but root is required to access and edit the suggestions.xml file i mentioned above. However, i managed to discover a rootless way of doing that by creating an adb data only backup of Settings Suggestions app. I used adb backup extractor to extract the backup file and edit suggestions.xml, restored the edited backup file via adb restore and the suggestions were gone. I've tried the method twice just to be sure and it's working.
I'm attaching the zip containing the edited backup file that you guys can restore using "adb restore data.ab" command.
NOTE: The restore process won't work on old adb drivers so make sure you use the latest platform tools before trying.

I'm afraid that by replacing our data.ad with the one provided by you, will cost the loss of our app data.
Is there a toolkit to help us edit data.ad?

As u can notice, the backup is a mere 2 kb file. It's a backup of only the Settings Suggestions app data, which is responsible for the suggestions in settings. However, if u are not comfortable using my backup, adb backup extractor is the tool you need....
Just wanna clarify if this needs root or not
Bro, Thanks a lot for your work and even big thanks for sharing! I have one more bug that I saw only a few people mentioning. I have sent it to Xiaomi also but there's no response. So here is the deal. I see the font and display size as 'big' on the lockscreen, when I have kept settings of both to 'small'. I have to go to settings and do some back n forth to get the uniform results. It turns back after I restart the device. Do you know or could you please find any solution to it? Thanks again!
@amnher Nope, only adb
@tejas1903 In my case, when i change the display size, certain elements like the power menu revert back to their original size after locking the phone (lock screen isn't affected though). I noticed it only happens when i use fingerprint unlock, which means getting rid of the fingerprints and keeping pin/password/pattern only as a method of unlocking fixes the issue in my case. I don't know if we are affected by the same bug, you can test it by removing the fingerprint and see for yourself. It's a pitty, when the first android 10 update came i thought the suggestion bug would be fixed by the 2nd update, yet here we are on the 4th one. Xiaomi really takes it's time in fixing the bugs however i still hope for a future bug free release....

Xiaomi really takes it's time in fixing the bugs however i still hope for a future bug free release....

I'll keep the backup file updated with any new suggestion that appears until Xiaomi fixes it, if they do. I haven't encountered this one yet, which means i don't know the corresponding boolean to add to the suggestions.xml. If you manage to find it you can post it right here. If you can't, you can also post a data backup of your Settings Suggestions app using the following command (and i'll find it myself):
adb backup -f data.ab -noapk com.android.settings.intelligence

It should be this line:
Code:
<boolean name="com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.trustagent.discovery.OnbodyPromotionActivity_is_dismissed" value="true" />
Btw, thank you very much, this is also a problem for Mi A2 since the android 10 update and your workaround worked great for me too.

You're welcome! Mi A3, Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite and some other Nokia phones seem to have this issue. Thanks for posting the On Body Detection boolean, however since my "suggestions.xml" has no such line and i added it manually, i don't know if it'll work.... So, i'm attaching a test backup file which @gamernayeem or anyone who has the On Body Detection suggestion can try and see if it works. I'll update the OP then
Thanks man, i use your ideea to mi A2lite with andro Q, with same problem. I have a question: in the process of unpacking you use linux or just windows?
