.139 recovery version? - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to get ASUS replacement for my device because of the touchscreen. I flashed .139 stock ROM but the recovery version stays on .90. So I flashed .90 stock ROM and tried to update it to .139 but no update is available for me. I then flashed .97 ota zip with adb sideload. The recovery is still version .90. Can anyone with .139 full stock firmware verify your recovery version? Just let me know your recovery version if you have .139 stock ROM installed.

My recovery actually is TWRP, but when I was on stock .139, I'm pretty sure the recovery was .139 too.

Go to the pre-rooted roms section in android developement, you can download the recovery, boot and droidboot images alonside the pre-rooted 139 rom.
You can flash these separately through fastboot, no rooted rom needed to be downloaded/flashed...
Thanks again to Shakalaka...

stock recovery files images, where are they?

Where are the stock recovery img files located? I updated to the newest recovery and then tried to do the latest OTA update but its getting an error saying that my recovery image is newer than the firmware and it wont update. So I want to try to go back to an older recovery image and then try again.
Thanks
Were you on 2.17? There is no new recovery for 2.18 (which is the newest).
You can download the pre-rooted 2.17 here:

LG G3 T-Mobile Stock Recovery

So I rooted my G3 and I flashed twrp with flashify so I could flash xposed ( did not flash a custom ROM, just xposed) I got an OTA update so I tried flashing my stock recovery using flashify but i just got an error and had to pull the battery to reboot. I know some of you will think its pointless to root and flash a custom recovery just to revert back to stock but can anybody help me get back my stock recovery so I can get the OTA update.
You need the flash whole stock ROM via FlashTool first.

Any guide?

Flashing new OTA update (MRA58K.H8)

So the OTA is out here. I have unrooted GPE flashed with TWRP, and this update won't install without stock recovery. Is it ok if I flash this update with TWRP recovery just like the GPE edition before hand?

You cant directly flash an OTA. Use the ROM here:

OTA requires stock recovery to install.
TWRP is a custom recovery, no reason to think an official OTA would be compatible with TWRP.

Stock Recovery Image HTC M9 (3.35.401.12)

I just bought this phone and it has TWRP recovery installed and running stock 3.35.401.12
Whenever i try to install the available OTA update it just boots into TWRP and nothing happens. I want the stock recovery image so that i could flash it in TWRP (or any other way) so that i would be able to install the OTA.
Thanks a lot.

official ota update

can I install official ota uptade with twrp?
No, you need to be on stock recovery for proper OTA installation. If you still want to install an update you'll have to use fastboot method which will overwrite custom recovery (you can always flash twrp back regardless).
of course you can via twp, download latest recovery and flash it in twrp!
