hahaha..but i'm not regretting having this phone it's awesome...camera control is good, smooth no problem at all and its already have marshmallow
the downside of G4 is sound quality u should consider that too if u want to upgrade, even though i dont know about G3 sound quality. and with korean version, there's some part still in korean even if u choose english language and u cant root it, at least for a while hahaha ow and korean version dont have FM radio, but they have digital TV though, u might want to consider that if u like watching TV

LG G Pro E988 Indian version Users

Hi,
To cut the long story short I have come out with the idea of separate forum for Indian users so as to better understand the issues and also to have tight and easy context to our problems.
Withi a week of buying this phone, I had to visit service centre. It never happend with my any other previous phones. Obivoulsy this is becasuse of locked bootloader and stupid stone-age problmes in LG Flash tool like "low battery error"
Anyway, lets discuss all development and flashing related aspects of this version over here. Hope this benefits all.
FInally, Moderators may feel to redirect or route to alternatives, if any. Thank you.
Its a nice thought but Indian Optimus G pro users are already minority among the very limited user base of the Optimus G pro. I only wish more people knew about this amazing phone. For 27k INR its a steal nowadays.
For starters check out the stickies thread from the android development side. Its an amazing guide for the e988 based users. Helped me a lot.

Yes. I have disabled security before flashing recovery. I have flashed recovery through freegee app itself. After that the phone got into bootloop. After that I could not get it started. Tried flashing stock ROM through lg flashtool.but always got stuck due to low battery error. So finally went to service centre.

and cromaretail is selling the 32gb version for that price, i got the 16gb one at that price fom flipkart that too cashback i will get in jan.
And i guess price drop is because of being stuck in 4.1.2, while buyin most dont care for roms just the current stock version
Ordered it from croma today, the black one went out of stock so had to settle for the white one.
Upgrading from Lg Optimus 2x after using it for 2 years.
Man it's very tough to find G Pro in retail stores, searched em all in Koramangala/Forum side even the much Hyped Google/spice "AndroidLand Store" didnt have it , only univercell had it , no one else not even croma itself , Lg Phone's distribution n/w is real poor in India ,speaking from previous experience, if any storekeeper has LG you'll only find G pro lite or G2 ,
I ordered for 24,500 from croma retail , it's a loot considering the specs but i am pretty sure we wont see the Android update atleast for the next 6 months if at all , same thing happened with Optimus 2x but atleast Lg did provide it with Stable ICS some good months later. With not much of a difference b/w release dates of G,G pro ,G2 and Lg never calling G pro their Flagship , I seriously doubt any updates , but still those specs for that price is awesome.
I Flashed CM on my Optimus 2x the day i bought it , I hope this time around i use Stock a bit more
only thing from my wishlist that this phone didnt fulfill was Dual sim and LTE that would work in India but then no expensive phone had dual sim and No one knows India's LTE bands with sureity

Looking for a new phone is the lg g4 good ?

Hello guys i am currently using a Samsung S3 Neo and im looking to buy a new phone. So from reviews like Android authority it seemed very good, performance is great and the camera is amazing but i saw this problem with them called the ''bootloop'' so im wondering if I should buy it. Is the bootloop fixable or not existing anymore because i read that it was only in the models produced the first 2-3 months.

Isn't bootloop related with custom roms?

I didn't even thought the problem you mentioned was hardware related hehehe
I really thought was custom Rom related.
To be honest I never was a really LG fan because in my country there's like only a few stores with LG accessories etc.
Like I said, for me phone is about camera quality and performance because I use phone as a work gadget.
So... My next one will LG5 if camera please me.

G4 right know has unbelievable value for money!
It has great performance, amazing display, top-tier camera (especially if you learn how to use manual mode), 3000mAh battery and ample ROM support
Just be sure to get an H815 International model if you plan on rooting and doing custom ROM!

you can root locked bootloader only if on lollipop 5.1 and you can also have xposed....
if phone its on marshmallow you also need to know the antirollback version.. like you cant downgrade marshmallow V3 antiroll to Lolliop V2 itll brick phone..
am you must be aware that some devices have bootloop.. and the best thing is for you to have the closest country that has bootloader unlocked... for example. if you are in europe and have the h811 tmobile from usa.. if bootloop.. the phone must be sent to tmobile or to LG usa. unless the place you buy it gives you warranty.... so its best to have one for your country.. if from usa .. they wont fix it in wurope you must send phone to USA...
here is the list on the ones that can be unlock.

Zenfone 2 ZE551ML help

Hello there.
I'm about to receive one of these from Gearbest, and from what I've read, it's likely that it will come with WW software but the device itself it's the CN version.
I already have bookmarked the tutorial to flash everything to WW, but my doubt is, what about LTE bands? Is it really possible to unlock all bands? How?
Is there anything anyone can recommend for this device regarding roms and mods?
Thank you in advance.
I know that the question may be a little noob-ish, or even a bit stupid (I don't know), but please, can anyone help?
its seems that nobody have this phone. Im going to buy one in aliexpress, it looks like a great phone but, without suport.
When and if you two get these phones and depending on what they are which you dont know at the minute, there is a forum for ze551ml which covers everything from bricked devices to changing LCDs

No need to be ironic man, I have my fair share of XDA experience, I just never came across a region-specific device that inspite having the same hardware worldwide, doesn't have all network frequencies available on every baseband... What I asked basically was, is it really possible to have all LTE bands available on a CN device, and secondly, based on users experience here, is there any rom, kernel or mod that you can recommend...

Mine is from Gearbest, it's not a fake, but the problem is... They only sell the CN version of the Zenfone, and what they do to sell it to Euro users is flash the WW version of the firmware but they don't convert the device fully. Anyway, for 123 euros is still not a bad deal, considering its the 4gb ram version.
Thanks for your help

Is G4 still bootlooping on manufactured versions of 2016?

Im planning to buy this smartphone by the end of January 2017, its the European version I think (Spain)... But Im afraid it would still bootloop as older G4 devices manufactured in previous months, so...
This problem has been fixed in newer devices?
I was thinking in buying the G5 but the price I have found for this smartphone is quite interesting.
Greetings, and happy new year

How many times is this gonna be asked? No one can tell you if it is fixed with "newer" G4 devices. Anyone who owns this device should have a backup device because you can't trust any G4... and even if its fixed, I still do not recommend this phone. It has many other problems which is in my opinion not worth to deal with. I regret buying this phone.
See my reddit post ---> https://www.reddit.com/r/lgg4/comments/5glnlt/bad_quality/?ref=share&ref_source=link
If you really want to go with LG, buy the G5, that phone isn't flawless but much more reliable than a ''newer" LG G4.

Oh it didn't really bother me, I was more like: Another one wondering if newer versions of the LG G4 are bootloop free...
Well simply no one can tell you for sure, there are some reports of newer versions boot-looping, but that are only a few but still some..
If I was you I wouldn't go for a LG G4. Take the G5 instead if you really wan't a LG phone. That phone has less problems and has better hardware and will be more worth your money in my opinion.

Greetings, and happy new year

its a risk you are going to take.. but if your want to decide , then yes we cant tell you but, indeed 6XX have low chances of bootlooping but it doesnt mean it wont..
someone said that he opened old opne and when he received the 6XX the internal had better quality and previous had not.

Yes I know, I never said that there aren't G5's with bootloop problems but with that device it is way less common.
And that why I think he should better go for the G5 if he really wants a LG phone.
It's a worry though - if they can bring out a new gen device that still has the flaws it took them a 35000 strong petition to even acknowledge... not a trustworthy company.
I'm sorry to hear ppls had problems with their G4 phones .
What I can say , speaking from a developer perspective , LG g4 is great , at least the one I have , I have a h815 European Unlocked , serial number starts with 6xx.
I just can tell you that i stressed this phone like no other phone before .
I always think how this little piece can take so much stress.
I'm a rom developer and I can say I i flashed and reflashed over 10 -15 times per day different roms.
I build Maru OS for this phone and I runned Debian inside it ,with a lot of app oopened and a lot of multimedia tasks , and tested a lot how apps works on it , even games.
I used it like a pc , using debian and I can tell you I stressed it a loooot .
What I can say is that is a good harware , I do not try to convice anyone to buy one and I do not want ppls to spend money on something that can easly brick . But told you , I was impressed how mine resists to stress. No problems in 4 months.
Have a great day all !
Mine is 602 and it's still going strong. No issues. No overheating. It's works flawlessly.
