Could you provide more details concerning your problem? e.g screenshots, bug reports etc.
And, what do you mean by your internal sd card is locked?
Would be glad to help if I knew more about your issue
And please post in the Q&A section. This is the dev section.

I tried updating to crdroid 6.0 from 5.1.1 exodus and once it boots up I cant see anything in the sdcard0 partition. If i look on my Pc ill see all my files but inside the rom i get nothing. Also when i open the file manager it shows /storage/emulated/0/storage/secure??? It sounds like he's facing the same thing. theres no bug reports or force closes. It sounds like a mounting issue but i was hoping i didnt have to wipe my internal SD to flash to 6.0.

I can only suggest wiping the phone down, reflashing or flashing a different kernel and then the Rom of your choice. No guarantees but if its the hardware you will know for sure then. Of course if its in warranty, just send it back before you void it.

THANKS it really helped me ....... my card is now working.... i think my card has some problems
Seeing as that card may have issues, one thing you can do to be sure and also maybe extend its life a little longer until a replacement can be obtained is connect to any windows pc and format the card and run a corruption check on it. it may very well be the last time it was formatted it did not write the file system properly. a proper format might resolve the issue completely.
Guys again i am having problem ......again today i am having same error and my SD card is not being mounted pls help again. there is something else issue with my droid...
pls somebody help
reformat the card using a computer, any OS will do it for you. I use GParted on linux. Then re-insert and reboot. you can copy all your user data off then format then put it back no problems.

Hi there,
As we all know there is an issue with moving files from internal to external storage due to implements from kitkat.
I was just wondering if there is a was a solution to this without rooting?
I am unrooted and was hoping there was a fix for it.
Thanks in advance.
ext sd

I have been looking into this, the past 3 days and from my research I could say the answer is... no.
Everything I found on the net requires root access.
On my previous phone, a Note 3, I faced the same issue and when I formated the ext sd from within the phone, the problem mysteriously went away and I had -full- access to the ext sd.
Tried it on the M8 but no luck.
Why dont you also give it a try (after backing up your ext sd ofcourse) and tell me if you had any result.
My M8 is international version by the way. No carriers.

I'm rooted but I think I remember being able to transfer files between the internal and external storage by connecting my phone to my computer and doing it on my computer. Try that if you haven't already.
yes

Yes my friend, via pc it is possible. I suppose the OP,like myself, is looking for a solution from within the phone.
Thanks.

I believe the question is: can something be done without rooting?

With the Update to 4.4.3 HTC included a file explorer to give a solution for this kitkat security feature. I already flashed the OTA to 4.4.3 aka firmware 2.22.401.4 and in fact moving files from the internal storage to sd card works with the file explorer delivered by HTC.
Hope this answer helps!?

Agree that this might be the issue. Try the SD card on another device, or on a card reader attached to a computer.
Folks have had instances of their M8 not reading SD cards that can be read on other devices. Re-formatting the card on computer (but not the device) seems to help with this.
Also to OP, are you sure you aren't selecting the option to wipe the external SD card in custom recovery? I know its probably a silly question to ask. But its more silly not to ask (and have it be something simple all along).
Twrp had a bug that when you select factory reset it also wiped the sdcard. Maybe that was your issue. Latest update by captain throwback fixed it.

Hello
Just today, i happen to make a big mistake - as in deleted my Whattsupp Photo Gallery. I've read all about the internet about certain software doing a kind of recovery work and being able to get the pictures back, yet all are paid (and pretty expensive too)
Is there an alternative way, please? Some free, eventually.
I'm using OmniROM on a N7100 Note 2 - if it matters at all. Phone is rooted, of course.
Thank you very much, any help would be greatly appreciated
if you can get your phone to mount the sd as usb mass storage (some kernels, apps can do it) instead of MTP, you can try to use recuva on windows, DONT write to your SD until you recover it. You can write over the photos sections and they will be erased for good.
Well, AGNI kernel couldn't do it - anyone knows some apps that i can mount my internal SD with?
Thank you very much
Did you find anything useful? I need to mount my internal sdcard as mass storage to run a recovery software, too
Thanks

This has worked for me various times. But be careful as it sometimes causes the insufficient storage error.

Are the music files stored in internal memory or external SD card? If files in internal memory stutters, I have no idea... Probably try xposed memory leak fix mod... If it happens with your external SD, some said formatting your external sd to exfat will solve the issue. Or, it could be the hardware issue of your external sd card as some slow ones have been the cause. I am with cloudy 2.5 with sony 64 gb class 10 sd card, fat32 formatted. No stuttering at all with bluetooth headset or speaker.

Get your screen off mhz higher when BT is active. Up it by a couple steps and it should do the trick.

I never used that application, you'll have to search a bit. There are chances that it's not a feature in it too.
