Does anyone else see Flickr pages open when using the fingerprint unlock function? I literally never use the site outside of this bug. Once in a while on unlock my browser opens and it takes me to different people's Flickr pages. Been noticing this phenomenon since unboxing 2 months ago.
I don't use Flickr but that's pretty strange I'll try and see. So it opens the app or Web page?

It opens the flickr webpage in the stock browser.
Doing some more research into my problem, I found this thread in Android forums...

"Well I finally found out why*Flickr*kept opening 90% of the time after I was using thumbscan to unlock my note 4. It seems that in the new lollypop update the option to have a live weather pic on the lock screen has a Flickr link at the bottom. So most of the time I ran my fat thumb over the finger scanner I was also touching that link just above on the screen. So when the phone would unlock a browser window would open to the Flickr page. How diabolical is that, Way to go Flicker!
Needless to say I dumped the weather pic option for a static one from my library on the phone and the problem went away.
It may not have been a link but the whole pic was clickable.
I have the ATT version of the note 4.
Google needs to drop the option to have any pic clickable on the lock screen. I could see a future nefarious goings on with something like that."

This occurs on the Note 5 as well. It appears this is my answer ??

I am wondering if anyone has figured out how to tag people in pictures from your WP7 device before uploading to Facebook.
AND...How to upload video to Facebook from phone from album.
Thanks
Can't upload video yet, well by default. I am unsure if an app exists to help with this. Currently I have to use Zune on the PC to work with my videos.
Tagging, not sure, seems like that is a browser enhanced feature that would use silverlight, flash or js that the newest internet explorer doesn't seem to recognize.
Pretty sure you can just tap the image you are uploading to tag it. I did it on accident and I think that was how. It might have been within the actual Facebook app. Idk

That didnt work...Cant figure it out but will keep trying.
Tagging is done by either long pressing or double tapping, can't remember but I've done it before, too lazy to try now.
Make sure you're doing it in the dialogue just before actually uploading the pic, the one where you name it and such.

Tagging can be done using the fb app for the Wp7. Tap and hold for about 3 seconds on the face that u wanted to tag, then ur fb friends list would pop out. This of course is applicable to photos which have already been uploaded.

It also has a weird behavior... From my experience you need to tap for three seconds, and then let go for the name list to show itself... I thought it should have popped up regardless...

Didnt work on the focus.
Also, no go with the other recommended method.
I was able to tag photos (really hadn't tried before).
1. open the facebook app
2. click on the photo you want to tag (already has to be uploaded to facebook)
3. In the photo view, long press on the picture, you should see the bottom menu drop off, then your contacts pop up and you can click who you want to tag it to.
I'd like to request the removal of pop up advertisements from the home page, preferably for all but at least for Android user agents. Clicking a twitter link from the XDA feed provides nothing more than a lesson in futility. It is near impossible for the reader to click the tiny close X in the upper right corner, and refreshing the screen doesn't get rid of the pop up either. On top of that, trying to zoom the X bigger doesn't work as the pop up 'floats' around the screen when scrolling.
Please remove this so we can better navigate you website from the devices the site is dedicated to.

Can you get a screenshot of them, as there should be no pop-up ads on the site like that AFAIK
I get this almost every time I click a twitter link from my phone.

Hey Wildfire Users,
i just get a problem, while using ErwinPs newest ICS Version for the Wildfire (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344&page=91).
If i want to look up pictures and go into the "app" "Gallery" there a now folders or albums. There is black in the whole screen.
But (!) if i want to switch to another page, by pushing the screen with my finger, there are my picture folders. And if i let my finger off the screen, there is only black.
And if i click on a picture, i can't see them on the screen.
Funny, isn't it?
So could anybody help me please?
Thanks

That is a well known bug of CM9 at the moment.
The only way to fix it is to download a third party gallery app (Quickpic is a good one)
Oh man thanks!
I read so many pages in Erwins Thread, but i didn't found anything like that.
Tank you
try looking at first post, also called OP there is listed what works, few things that dont and some tips to fix them..
after few attempts i found that you can view pics in standard gallery, but you need to zoom after opening a photo...anyway quickpic works perfectly,as stated before...

Hi
So I have an s3 and my girlfriend just got hers today... 2 questions.
1) on mine I'm pretty sure since as soon as I set it up. The gallery had had all my Facebook albums in it. Hers doesn't. How did I make them appear in there? I can't seem to find an option for that...
2) on her gallery, any pics in albums marked as instant upload (which have pics from her old android phone that were obviously synced with instant upload) come up with errors if she tries to edit them with either photo editor or instagram or any other photo app. The apps have no problem with new pics taken with the phone. It kind of makes sense that these apps wouldn't be able to edit pics not technically on the phone, but mine does it with no problem.
She just got he phone like 2 hours ago... any ideas?
Thanks

Settings in Facebook and if your sync is turned on or not.
Not sure what you mean about the second part

I went to Facebook and there is no option about syncing photo albums... It just did it automatically on my phone. I'm thinking MAYBE it was a feature of Friendcaster though? Which automatically reinstalled from my play account when i bought my phone even though I had no intention of using it (I had it on an old phone)... But yea I see no option in the regular Facebook app about syncing photo albums, just contacts...
Also my other question, there are like 5 "Instant Upload" albums with the picasa logo next to them of old pictures taken on her old phone. They're all viewable but you can't edit the pictures in them using any of the photo editor apps. It's like they're not really there other than for viewing.
1: i noticed that chrome "cuts" and overlap part of some web pages...for ex google upper menu appears over the first search result, making it impossible to click.
(edit)
1,1: sometimes it stucks and has a strange behavour with s pen (i click somewhere but it takes as click in another place in the page. it s evidente when small chars and many links )
it doesnt happen in any other app or menu.
2 stock browser doesn t recognize "other favourites" folder or the equivalent for italian "altri preferiti".
i can save only in the main folder and subfolders and not there
same for you?
1. Same here
2. I don't know, I mainly use Firefox beta now
edited main post.
firefox has any kind of sync with google favourites? can be edited?
for me it's a major feature.
I started getting this with Chrome when we got the first "performance improvement" update. I work around it by zooming in and scrolling. Not ideal by any means.

I dont know but I think the chrome has it's issues?
Noticed the same issue with Chrome, took me a while to really notice what was going on.
I had problems with Chrome as well. I like it but not enough to put up with a chopped off screen and major offset for the touch screen. I went with Opera and it works like it should so far.
Yip, this happens to me as well and it sucks.
