I have the following issue with my D855:
When I reboot or power on the phone it display the search for network icon for few seconds and then it connects to H+. After an hour or so it connects to 4G. All the phones I used connect directly to 4G. I have 4G coverage (when it connects I have full bars), compatible 4G sim (works great in other phones) and carrier settings(set up and verified by Vodafone representatives). Also while on 4G when I connect to WiFi it searches again for network and when I turn off WiFi searches again for network and happens the same(H+ and after an hour I have 4G)
Any ideas why this happens?

I have been trying to get the data connection to work, when I am in a 2G coverage area, however I didn't have any luck.
3G works ok, but as soon as it goes on the GSM as apposed to WCDMA setting, none of the online options are available.
Do I have to set another access point on the phone to get data when I only have GSM (2G) coverage?
Hmmm, for some strange reason, yesterday while at work, I couldn't connect to T-mobile's 2G data network (GPRS)... Yesterday evening it shutdown by itself (empty battery) and after I restarted it, I have 2G data connection... very slow but it is there...
I wonder what may have been the problem. Any thoughts?
I have 4g turned on and available but it never connects. It just says 3g above the connection icon. How do I get it too 4g? Is it a phone setting that is wrong or a system setting with Sprint? Should I try taking the battery out and reseting?
On my s4 mini lte, each time I turn on mobile data it doesn't work, doesn't matter if I have 4g or not (in the notification bar it actually says '4G'). When I go into settings and turn off lte (wcdma only), my Internet does work. Is there a problem with my lte antenna?
Hi guys,
I live in Chile and Movistar is implementing its 4G+ network using bands 7 (widely deployed) and 28 that's being implemented across the country.
If I'm in a zone where Movistar offers 4G+, I immediately see 4G+ icon however I noted that when data is not being sent or received the phone automatically drops to 4G. If I start to use data or some background app starts using connection the device switch to 4G+ until no more data is transferred for some seconds and mobile drops to 4G and so on.
Is this a normal behavior? Maybe it's designed to save battery?
I know some networks have different configurations. For example, if you are in a 3G place in Chile with Movistar, the telephone will show 3G as icon however when you start using connection the icon changes to H and when data is idle the phone backs to 3G and so on. In 3G the behavior is normal as it happens with all the mobile phones I had (HTC One X, HTC M8x, 10) and others phones my friends had.
Thanks.
Long story short. I bought this phone thru Spectrum Mobile. I am now with Verizon. When 4G data connection drops out the 3G icon or 1x icon pops up but there is never a connection to the data side of the network (3G and 1X icons are grey and never turn white). When this happens even with 2 or 3 bars of service no texts or phone calls can be placed. I even tried to force a connection by switching network to CDMA only with one of the network switching apps in the market. Phone has been to samsung for diagnognostics and they said nothing was wrong. Im on my 3rd sim and second carrier with this phone. Ive factory reset 2x and also flashed the verizon firmware with odin as this is an unlocked phone. Can someone with this phone on verizon download this app, switch network to CDMA only (PRL) and see if they get a usable 3G connection (can make phone calls , texts, and surf slowly on internet?
can you download samsung band selection and try that?
