Yes you can. I have an H815P too and I'm currently running marshmallow. You just have to flash the H815 software using LGUP. But if you don't want to lose anything make sure you have clicked upgrade in LGUP before flashing

Model of the phone you're using? And btw, we can't root Lollipop (yet) so you need to downgrade to Kitkat in order to root, then flash a stock Lollipop ROM with root included.

Try this. Use it at your own risk!
1. Get your KDZ file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2791761 Make sure you're using the right kdz or you'll experience a lot of headache!
2. Your reference to kdz file... here v10l works for me since we have the same version.
3. And this tutorial helps you to revert back to kitkat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2785089 Just follow instructions there, it's easy
4. After reverting back, root your phone with PurpleDrake: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/root-root-lg-g3-easily-purpledrake-lite-t2821000 Again, it's easy just follow everything there.
5. Download Super SU from Play Store.
6. Now download TWRP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/recovery-teamwin-recovery-modem-support-t2939088 Save it to your SD card
7. Flash TWRP using Flashify (download from Play Store also)
8. Make sure to backup your files using Titanium Backup and TWRP (I recommend both) before flashing!
9. Choose a ROM that you want which can be found on this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development
10. Follow the instructions there and your good to go.
Good luck!

I think you need to wait for official OTA. This build is still in the beta testing or for beta tester.
Tried all the methods in FF but it says "package is not authorized". I cant make or receive any Jio calls since 2 weeks now. And now, this 330 cant be flashed. Its ridiculous! I already requested for mnp to Vodafone 3 days back. I am done with this Volte ****!

Patience? Bro, whats the point of having a god damn phone if you cant make calls from it. This is not just about me. Many people are not able to flash the 330. Jio was my primary number and now I am in deep trouble. Its not about being patient, its about having a stable network. Such bugs can mess up a person's life during emergencies.
Thanks for your concern but do let us know if there's any other way to flash 330 apart from FF! :good:

There is way by flashing it using twrp ,if the update got 2 zips (update.zip and region zip)
Flash regional first and then update zip , may works but not sure , because indian zips never worked for me ,only out of indian updates are flashabe friendly.
Try once if you had time and also dont forgot to make full backup of twrp.

Twrp? Really dont wish to flash any custom recovery for now bro. And yeah, those zips never work quite well for our region. Anyway, Jio was unstable ever since it was launched. I would rather pay and get classy services rather than expect more from something that is cheap and free. I am aware that this was a firmware bug in my 6x but I actually think relying on Volte is a mistake. Thanks again!

No screenshots needed. This is the stock Official Nougat from LG. If you want to see how it is, you only have to Google it.
Stock LG Recovery
Stock LG Kernel
OTAs
Download stock Nougat for H815 here:

Mirror link from @steadfasterX
v29A [keeps TWRP and LAF on flash] from @steadfasterX
Below is the bootloader and modem only flashable zip20p bootloader stack with 29A modem
**This is not a ROM. This is the whole firmware upgrade to v29A , untouched, coming directly from LG.
I made this flashable file as an alternative to the v29A KDZ that we never got.
Installation procedure:
This is a Full OS Upgrade for all of us coming from MM.
>> Clean Flash << when coming from MM or from Lineage|AOSP based roms !
- Reboot to TWRP
- Advance Wipe -> /data , dalvik-cache, /cache
- Install Nougat
- Reboot.
its absolutely crucial to take your time and backup with either the latest TWRP BETA release
or the DLM Backup method or even both for the paranoid ones
Many thanks to the member
@keriox who shared the files with us.

Those who suffer from bootloop issues due to big cpu cores,
flash this kernel in TWRP.
It will disable big cores , also it has some bugs fixed.

do you have the baseband unknown when flashing this?. Flashed the files manually from the dump (boot and system) and I have this baseband unknown thingy.
Yes I was also reporting about that, unknown baseband but it still works fine!
Anyway, for the people who flashed manually the files, can we continue like that or is it better to flash the ROM as a simple package?

Nope, it works for me , with cosmote and with vodafone. checked both carriers. Maybe the default.prop of the stock recovery has some lines that modem needs or the aboot has some lock for the modem. We will know after our TWRP dev finishes his checks.

people who flashed it manually they can dirty flash it.
In the code i didn't add any wipe or format command.
So if you are coming from MM or from lineage/aosp build , wipe , data,dalvik-cache and cache manually in advance wipe menu of twrp before flashing this.
This will flash all the partitions as if you flash the kdz, the only difference is that you will need to wipe manually. TWRP will be replaced with the stock recovery too.
This is the best since we jump to a newer OS version !
And afterwards IF twrp support it we can go to bootloader and fastboot flash twrp again.
Wiping is a "must do" when jumping to a newer OS mate !
Use LG Backup or if you are certain that Google has backed them all up just wipe and flash and restore everything afterwards using the google setup on 1st boot.

yes this will flash all the partitions.
you will lose twrp but after you boot and make sure everything works , you can go to bootloader and flash twrp again.
We still are not sure if the current twrp will have any bug. our steadfasterx is looking at the matter. he will propably check, compare files and do his part.
our part is to be careful.
So yes you can dirty flash.
if something doesn't work, you can clean flash too. (stock recovery too can wipe data.)
you can go to bootloader and flash twrp again too.
Lastly you can also open the zip and delete the recovery.bin if you want to avoid flashing the stock.
Me i had to provide this as it is cause its our alternative to the kdz we don't have

This is not a port. This is the official v29a from LG. Its the update LG gave to only Poland and we never got it .
Don't start sending bug reports here. Its not my Rom and it's not my work.
Call LG and tell them

Ok I have another question for you.
I'm no expert, so let's see: why are these 4 apps disabled?
How stable is it? Any bugs yet?

It was, but this update just came out...
so, is it possible to do the update directly from the base firmware version came out of the box or do we need to be on a specific version??
btw, if another update comes out? how do we keep the root and update? do we need another rooted boot file or is there any other method?

Yes, you can go straight to this version without the need to flash previous versions. Have you checked that your device is WW, fingerprint and all? If not, install device info hw from the playstore and under system it will show rom, product id and fingerprint, if they're all WW then you are good to go...
Yes, regarding root, if or when another update comes out, you need to wait until the rooted boot is released too, Flash it as per op

I managed to update from 1908.12 to 1908.21 and maintain root by following the guide mentioned in https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/update-root-t3977143 so I don't think it's required to flash the boot image each time.

only reason i recommended to flash boot is because i tried to update root using this method on one version and it left my device unbootable, on another it just would update, kept saying download failed or something, so i avoid saying about it.
incidentally, from .12 to .21 did you use the ota method, or direct install (recommended)? i couldn't get it to go...

I used the OTA method and it luckily worked!
Btw the links in the OP are not working for me. It's giving an error that file is currently not available.

Thanks[emoji12][emoji106].
For those who are already rooted it is not necessary to put the root image by adb, simply from magisk before restarting the device you go back, you get into magisk and give it to install, you choose the option of ota and voila.

Thank you so much mate, please can you send me the
the exact procedure you followed?
So the only limitation that remains without the twrp is not being able to change the rom with the MIUI EU, or is there a method to do this too without twrp ?

Thanks for the insights. Have you guys noticed any problems? Basically my goal is to root the device and get rid of all the xiaomi bloatware and google stuff as much as possible and install FOSS apps with root access to apps that need it.
Also what are the disadvantages of not having twrp in this case?
And can I lock the bootloader back after Im done altering the ROM?

I assume you have Mi 11 lite
In that case you download Mi unlock tool https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
Setup a Mi account and log into it on your mobile and register using your mobile data
After that use Mi unlock tool to unlock bootloader
And then follow the guide as above
