Start from yesterday, my phone wont charge with the stock charger it told me to use a compatible charger. I have tried 3 differet USB cable but none of them work. Also ihave the quick charger on my car, it was working fine before, but now it will Not show the plus sign next to the charging icon and the battery % drops even with the charger pluged in. Any one knows what's happening?

I have exactly the same Problem! I can only charge the phone, if the lipo is fully discharged! And only the ASUS Qick charger works for me.
I also monitored, that the USB at the phone is always On, also, if the phone is powered off. Do that the phone, itself dischares..
Have anybody an solution?

I've occasionally had this problem---a battery icon with a "!" in it appears and says to use a compatible charger. This mostly happens for me with the stock charger. I've found the most likely thing to fix it is unplugging the charger from the wall for 20-30 seconds to let the capacitors fully discharge, and then plug it in again.
Sometimes it has been due to the charger partially unplugged from the wall, or the usb cable partially unplugged at one end.
I hope this helps, as the first few times it happened to me I was worried the usb port in the phone might be going bad.
I have problem with both original and non original chargers occasionally. The trick for me is to unplug the cable and re plug. Problem solved.
The replug Fix the (!) Symbol.
My phone was now fully charged. After an full discharge of the LiPo. Now it has 85% . and then i plug in the charging cable nothing happens. Nö recharge. So i must wait that the phone is fully discharged, and then i can charge it aging. I think On my phone is the charging controller damaged.

Today my phone battery was completely depleted and when I try to charge the led blinks, but won't get charged.even after two hours it stays the same.and won't turn on.
The phone also heats up very much.
Could anyone help me in this problem.
I am using original charger and accessories.
Does the pc recognize the phone when you plug in the usb cable ?
Check in the pc's device manager if you see it
Keep it on the charger (usb or wall) for a longer period of time.....its the only thing you can do now !
i do have similar problem, but my HTC's led does not blink does not react to anything, usb to PC or charger. computer also does not react to phone. it happened after battery went flat, device shuted down as normal, and after that - DEAD. Help Please?

Try connecting it to a wall charger and keep it for 24 hrs.

wont be letting my battery drain completely after reading similar threads.
Hey,
Yesterday accidentally I dropped by Note 2 from some 3 feet, with UAG Case in Place. It didn't had any issues when I started using it, but when my battery drained and I inserted it to socket found that the charging no more works
Diagnostics
Wall, USB Wire - Swapped and checked. Works. No issues
Battery - Swapped and checked. Works. No issues
USB OTG - Works both in Recovery and Android
USB Charging - Doesnt works on Wall and PC doesn't even recognizes\ the phone
As of now, I am using a cheap Chinese wall charger to charge my battery which takes a day to charge some 30%. Can someone say what will be faulty? Is it the USB Charging port?
I tried it charging in Recovery too, It didn't seem to work. But when I drain the battery completely and take it out and let it sit idle for five minutes and plug it again, the white big battery icon appears and boots the phone and then when it enters into droid, say Critical Battery, no charging occurs and the phone shuts down. This cycle repeats every time if I remove the battery and plug it again, if i leave the usb charger on wall connected to the phone further, nothing happens after that per se no clue of charging.

You probably damaged the charging board. They are about $7 on eBay and take about 10 minutes to swap out.
@ Coug76 I have a rev1.0 rd89 rd53 kh 18 printed on the board. Should I buy a board with Rev 0.7 and t889 or any t889 board?
Many Thanks!
Any T889 rev should work fine.

Phone is not rooted or anything, fast charging just stopped working out of nowhere no idea how to fix it so i tried resetting phone, and that didn't work either i have no idea whats wrong?
I have the 4gb model and using the charging that came with it along with other qualcom quick charge chargers and none of them work
Not to point out the obvious, but quick charge only works for a certain battery percentage. It is 0% to 50%, I think? After that it reverts to normal charging.
Same problem
I have the same problem on my Asus Zenfone 2 (2GB version). It used to quick charge perfectly fine with a Samsung adaptive charger but now it's only charging normally (5V 1.1A). I tried different cables with no joy.
I bought a USB device that connects between the charger and the USB cable to check the voltages on D+ and D-. Apparently the phone is asking for 12V instead 9V (0.66V on both D+ and D- instead 3.3V on D+ and 0.66V on D-).
I can only guess this is a software issue from an update?
I ordered an external battery pack from Aukey that offers Quick Charge 2.0. This one can offer 12V too. If that works I'll come back with an update.
No, my phone will show quick charge at any battery percentage. It doesn't come out of quick charge until fully charged.

Post a photo of your screen showing that you're still on quick charge after 70-80%?
I know it stops at a certain point. When I check my phone after a 45 minutes or so of charging when its nearly full, I don't see the quick charge icon anymore nor does it say "Quick Charging", only "Charging".

Well, obviously I don't know what I"m talking about. I thought the "+" in the battery indicator meant it was on quick charge.
When plugged into my quick charger (I have two different ones by different manufacturers) it always shows the "+" in the battery indicator.
I don't know how to tell it's in quick charge mode except by the message on the lock screen. And you are right, it goes from "quick charging" to "charging" about the power level you indicated. Hadn't really noticed before. Now I'm a little smarter
I also have the + sign from 1% to 99% using original charger.
It does get less hot after 70% im sure quick charge slow down or off at this point

same here..
Same here - sometimes the quick charges works (from 0%-80%), sometimes it stops at 20% and I notice too late the phone has not been fully charged All this with the Asus original quick charger ...
Normal charging works always, not a single problem ..
I guess this is a software issue ...
not really, my zenfone 2 used to fast charge even at 82% and charge to 100% after 10 mins, but now it's at 49% and says fast charging but the completion time shows 3 hours until full. I dunno why
I've been having similar issues in recent months, but I'm thinking the USB cable may be worn out - usually when it shows it is charging in regular mode, if I unplug the cable and put back in the + appears. Also a couple of times it has claimed I am using an unsupported charger (it is the same ASUS fast charger out of box..), which is also resolved by unplugging and replugging things.
However if the phone won't fast charge, won't detect OTG drives and PC can't detect the phone then a part of the chipset is probably toast.
Not sure if was just a bug, but last night I put my phone on charge before bed and battery was at 25% I woke up in the morning to my suprise battery was only at 27%, I unplugged USB and re-plugged in again and it charged like normal.
Well, I had the same issue when I woke up this morning except in my case, the power brick has died completely and I am trying to determine if the battery has as well...
It does say it's charging on the lock screen when I connect it to a computer but in 10 minutes I haven't seen the percentage go up
FYI I have charged the device overnight only 9 times since I got it, GREAT JOB HTC !

Did you have ultra battery saving mode enabled to turn on automatically? Last time I had this enabled my phone wouldn't charge on a stock rom and stock charger. It only happened in 24 hour span, and there were times during that time when I plugged it in and wouldn't charge. I was on the latest update and after I disabled ultra battery saving mode I never had any charging problems
Nope all berry saving modes was off. It charged fine last night from 40%
I going to try run battery down today and see. Very strange

I can hear some noise coming from the charger while it's working louder than the M9's charger and a sound whenever I disconnect the charging cable from the port, like if something was a little loose. Are those normal things?
I recently had this issue too on a totally stock Verizon phone. Phone wouldn't charge until a reboot.

I assume you guys are all using stock charger and cable to charge? I think QC 3.0 can be picky about the cable used. Haven't had any issues with the 10, but previous phone was a lumia 950xl. It was only QC 2.0, I used a third party cable with it, had a lot of bother, then used stock cable and everything worked perfectly.
I had this happening once and the issue was for some reason the cable wasn't plugged to the wall adapter properly. I removed it and plugged it and it started working. I don't think it's something to get worried about.
Not sure about the noise though

That's normal. It's a switching-mode power supply (SMPS for short) and there's some coil whining in there. Quite literally business as usual.
Not sure if there has been any update on this, but I'm experiencing the same issue as well. I have a stock charger + stock cable as well as two Anker chargers (both QC3, one wall and one car charger) and I use iOrange-E cables (56k ohm) with the Ankers. I only have this problem with the stock cable and stock charger, the 3rd party chargers haven't had any issues yet. I will plug the phone in for the night and a majority of the time (it's happened 5 or so times in the past week) it will charge for about 10 minutes or less before it just stops charging. It acts like it's been unplugged entirely. I have to unplug and replug the charger to the wall a couple of times before it will start charging again. It will again only charge for a short period of time before it stops and repeats this. Since it's only happening with the one charger I'm left to believe that maybe the charger is just faulty. Anyone else still having this problem or has come to the same conclusion?
Yes!!! I've had this issue with the stock charger as well... very weird. Just doesn't charge and have to unplug it multiple times to get it to work
I also have an anker wall and car charger along with an anker cable... they work fine
Verizon stock phone... hasn't happened since ota

Started having the issue a few days ago. Phone will not charge until I plug it in and then reboot it. Doesn't matter what cable, charger, etc... I use, and yes I have tried them all. Stock, anker, qc 3 certified, non certified, doesn't matter. It behaves the same no matter what. Even went back to stock rom and same issue. Tried a couple of different kernels too.

This now the only way my phone will charge. I have probably ordered 3 sets of QC 3 certified chargers(car and wall), the stock one that came with the phone, probably 20 different cables, even some being micro USB with adapters, flashed all the way back to stock unrooted, wiped sd card, formatted data, tried several different kernals and roms. The only thing I have not done is go back S-On for completely out of the box stock, just dont feel it would make a difference at this point. Did yours simply just start working again dottat?
So for about few days I have strange charging "bug".
I'm using supplied adapter and cable and while charging sometimes it just stops. It can happen every 30 seconds, it can happen after half an hour. It stops charging and won't continue till I unplug and plug charger again. It can't be cable/connector problem, because if I wiggle a cable while it's charging - it won't stop. If I wiggle after it stopped charging - it won't continue. And sometimes when it stops an error shows up saying I should use supplied charger. I though it may be CM13 bug of some kind, but after upgrading it still persists. Even if I charge phone turned off - it sometimes it stops charging at random. I tried charging from battery pack using same cable - no problem, no stops. I tried using same charger to charge battery pack - still no problem. When I charge it from PC using same cable - it charges! I realized that it may be quickcharge error of some kind (I tried using 1A adapter and got no problems).
I asked this question on reddit and there is at least one more user with this "bug". He's using official rom and haven't found a solution also. Yesterday I plugged phone to charge at 30%, repluged few times when it stopped till 70% just to wake up today with 16% battery. This is very frustrating. Can anyone know the fix?
