http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-unbrick-nexus-5-stucked-qualcomm-hs-t3043301
please help
how did this happen, dids u install any rom or kernel..
Explain yourself..
running stock sense6 + lollipop 5.0.2 rom, bootloader unlocked (via htc dev) and on twrp recovery with supersu
did not install any custom rom
everything was working fine for months, and it suddenly decided to shutdown (I think I was scrolling FB at that point), and I cant boot back in anymore.
1. notification light doesn't come on when plugged into HTC original power adapter
2. screen is blank, no htc logo
3. power+vol up / power+vol down / power+vol up+vol down all not working
4. plugging into PC via USB showed device as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5)"
5. ran RUU as suggested in some other threads here on XDA, it says device not found
6. since there is NO recovery / fastboot, cannot adb and/or fastboot to flash radio+boot+image

I had the same issue with Xperia S, i was told thats its EMMC is corrupt..
You can try to discharge the battery to the fullest, then put is on wall charger for sometime, see if it boots
When You hold Power and volumeUP does it vibrate??
Hmm, I am suspecting it is emmc corruption too, hence I reference the 2 links, which are solutions for other phones. but I cannot find any similar solution to flash at the lowest level to emmc for htc one m8.
I am not sure if the phone is discharging or not because there is basically no light, no heat, nothing. yet it is detected by windows.
and it doesn't vibrate (nothing happens) when I power+vol.up

since its already dead, try opening it up and remove the battery for about 30 minutes.. then insert it back..
or take it to service center
you can find videos of dis-assembly on youtube.

sorry, I thought you have died of nand flash / loses boot
thanks for replies.
am reluctant to bring back to HTC because it is out of warranty (I bought it the day it was launched in march 2014) and HTC service is not really that good
I would think there has to be a way to unbrick it since it is recognized by Windows as a QUALCOMM device

Hi, I have tried to root new Nexus 7, but seems bricked it.
Now I can't turn it on. I see "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM 15)" in the devices list when tablet connected to the PC.
My steps to brick:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash TWRP
3. Boot to the bootloader using "adb reboot bootloader"
4. Select "Recovery Mode"
After this step I had android logo with red triangle. I have tried to exit this mode and pressed Up + Power for few seconds.
That's all.
Are there ant ways to resolve this issue?
I'm not in the USA and not sure that our service centers can help me in the nearest future. No warranty, tablet was bought from the private person, not in the shop.
I'm programmer and know what is soldering, so any solutions are acceptable.

I think with past devices when you get the qualcomm loader device it means either the bootloader is corrupted or the raw partitions are corrupted.
You can probably recover, but it would take some effort to figure out specifics.
I think I remember you can use qpst to do some diagnosis.
Maybe try flashing the factory images

I can't. My bootloader is broken, I need to restore it first.
Will try to play with QPST.
Okay. One step at a time. Use Vol Down + Power to attempt to get to bootloader. What happens?

Hi ViSoR42,
I'm a newbie. I had problem somehow the same as yours.
When I was using Nexus 7 2013, it hang up. I press and hold Power button to shut it down. It went down. Then I cant not turn it up.
Nothing happened when I tried to turn it up.
I connected it to the computer. It appeared "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" as well.
I think I can not do anything, for example, "adb", "fastboot", ...
You said that the way of swagstr worked for you. I have tried but failed.
Could you please tell me exactly what you did step by step?
Thanks a heap!

its like watching a good 2 hour long show that gets the last half hour cut by a breaking news report just to come back to the rolling of the credits and the 10 o clock news starting off with the breaking news report when you were watching a recorded show on your dvr
It worked for me too.

What you have is normal. You have to go one step more to get to recovery. I've tried to insert a picture, but Tapatalk keeps crashing when I try. Must be L 5.0.1.
Whoa! I did not realize how old this post was. Maybe the hold power button worked for this one, too.

This did not work for me. I have tried it while it is plugged into the PC, plugged into a charger or not plugged in. While plugged into the PC the "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" device on COM3 disappears periodically and then comes back so I can tell there is some life in it. This is extremely frustrating. The device froze while inside a game. The last image rendered stuck on the image for about 15 minutes until I did a hard reset by holding power down and the power button. The device has never turned back on since.
The only thing that happens is I get the device as a Qualcomm QDLoader when I plug it into a PC.
Please help and thank you in advance!
have you solved it?

I'm posting a question as I've spent days searching with no luck.
I have an LG G3 that while in normal use got very hot and turned off. Now it gets stuck at the LG logo and doesn't boot. I tried a normal factory reset but this just goes back to the LG logo and nothing happens.
So I'm trying to get into the download mode "Firmware Upgrade" screen to flash the stock rom. I hold down volume Up, and plug in the USB and it gets to the little "Download Mode" icon but does not continue to "Firmware Upgrade" and the computer (I've tried 3 different systems) wont recognize the phone.
Interestingly at some point while being in download mode it switched to fastboot, I have no idea how this happened but I was able to run commands on the phone using fastboot.exe, however I have not been able to get back to fastboot since.
Also I'd really like to be able to recover the data on the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.

I hope not, this phone was purchased in Media Markt in Germany and it's not covered by warranty here. LG Australia said it would cost up to $260 for them to fix it and the phone could possibly be downgraded if the mainboard needs to be replaced. I don't know if it would be possible to claim the German warranty.

Already tried, with battery in it boots and crashes, when plugged in without battery it just connects and disconnects over and over.
Have tried multiple cords, usb 2.0 & 3.0 ports. Same story.
Installed mediatek driver, uninstalled; you name it I tried it with the exception of opening it. Haven't got to that stage yet, I'm lazy.

if adb cant be able to be able to connect and stay connected ( bootloop or restarting problems )
then take SP Tool flasher to flash the Scatter MT6582 from stock KK by only remove battery first and let it out.
plug the universal usb port on cable but on the end of the cellphone dont plug it yet...
in SP Tool check the checkboxe in settings to checksum DL DA. and select usb high speed and W/O battery options.
then when the scatter is loaded then you ready to flash. the latest SF Tool is recommanded.
click on Download on SP tool when done the steps. it will hang on idle but at this moment press de volume down button first.
keeps holding that button until the end of flashing process and when hold it now plug the cable to your computer and bam you will be able to flash it to stock or custom your desire 320 without problems and its will not disconnect during process since you holding the volume down button.
that's how I did resolve my problem about months and find my own solution.
hope this helps... dont be shy to let me know if it worked for you or if you still need assitance.
have a nice day.

After searching and searching, seems someone actually had the same problem as I do. But for my part even when pressing the volume down before connecting to the computer doesn't keep the phone from connecting and disconnecting, even tried all the buttons combination you can imagine.
I'm wondering if it could be a driver issue, in your case was your device disconnecting every 5 seconds? And do you have any special driver that I should be aware of, personally I have Preloader USB VCOM port version 2.0.0.0...
I hope you got something in mind, I don't know where to look anymore haha.
Thanks again
PS I did everything else, remove battery, disable signature, got scatter MT6582 + download agent for flash tool (also updated), tried with ADB but can't detect device (of course it keeps deconnecting :silly: )

even if you have mediatek usb vcom driver or adb drivers else original driver it works on all with the button press.
but set the setting like I said USB support normal without battery W/O and high speed.
don't set it to mediatek com ports on SP tool. but if you have mediatek com port change to port 20. that's what I did change the port com.

Both do the exact same thing, tried checking the AD DL ALL with Checksum boxes, unchecked usb high speed and full speed. Pressing the down button before plugging it it, after. Nothing I do seems to work, in the device manager it just keeps appearing and disappearing over and over
I think a found the solution guys. After a sleepless night , I stumble into a russian forum who got the same problems as ours.
The correct version of the SP FlashTool we need for our device is the SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.01_SEC (http://mediafire.com/download/eaar07r2nm1v7t6/SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.01_SEC.rar). I read somewhere that it was because of the HTC Desire 320 has a security boot.
If you got a 4008 error, it's probably because you're using Win8-Win10. You need Win7. I'm installing Win7 on my PC right now, so I will tell you more about it later.
If you looking for the stock roms, I found this site : http://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=1449
If you speak russian, feel free to correct me.
Have a good one guys.

EDIT: Alright guys, confirmed working with 0PF1IMG_V01_U_K44_SENSE52_Telus_1.02.661.2_Radio_MOLY_WR8_W1315_MD_WG_MP_V42_F1_P9_release on Windows 7 x64. Model: OPF1100
If you got a CID Error, it's probably because you have flash the wrong rom for your device. I didn't have to restore the NVRAM after this flash, but maybe you will have to.

Thanks for it, i've got that problem after trying to install custom recovery. I also got the error 2004 but i fixed myself by using DA_SWSEC.bin. Not sure if it work for ur guys or not.
I also learn that althrough HTC 320 is Mt6582 devices but we cant use the method they wrote in mtkrom site to install custom recovery. Now i can find the stock rom of my phone to check flashing custom rom via splashtool. I used telus rom above and i got problem wrong CID and the flash camera not work, if i have msg or phone call missing, it flashes like notice led! At least now my phone is working ok then. I'll try to contact HTC to get stock rom of my phone

Yeah I forgot to mention that, you need to use the DA_SWSEC on the SP Flashtool. What's your htc 320 model? Your probably have the wrong rom. The telus one is only for NA device.
EDIT: Are you using the HTC Desire 320 with dual sim: http://drop.ndtv.com/TECH/product_database/images/15201573649PM_635_htc_desire_320.jpeg
If this is your device, the Telus rom is not for your device.
This is the EU rom: http://www.mediafire.com/download/z...NSE53_htc_europe_1.00.401.3_by_jamesjerss.zip

https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x/general/fix-blank-screen-boot-format-sysboot-t3126617
The first tut has been reported and removed and I tried the second one And my Nokia x didn't get detected in ubuntu. But on windows it always gets detected as Qualcomm hsusb 9008

Hi Guys,
Yesterday during an official update of my oneplus 5t (using the update manager from the phone itself), the phone got bricked and i dont know why....
So after some research i found it is hard bricked ( basically i cant do nothing, power on i cant, power +volume UP/DOWN too, and even when i plug the charge cable i have neither vibrations nor LED on)
So i follow this tutorial to unbrick the phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/oneplus-5t-unbricking-tool-confirmation-t3733012
I could get the phone recognize by the PC by pressing UP to see the phone as QUSB-BULK and then QUALCOMM QD LOADER after driver's update.
But when i run MSMDownloadTool ( V4.0.27 dumpling 43_0.36_180613) as administrator and click on start, the process get stuck in "waiting for device"
the status of connection before click on start was "connected" and after click and some process it turn to N/A
the status of communication is "memory size....."
status of last communication is "waiting for device"
I have tried several time and always the same result..... stuck in the waiting device
does someone have an idea on how to solve this? because i really need to unbrick the phone....
thank you in advance
EDIT:
I tried another version of MsmDownloadTool (dumpling_43_O.06_171206) and this time, the downloading of cache image failed....
I dont know what to do
You were in a custom rom or kernel when you tried to update from the official channel?
Your phone was rooted? Magisk installed?
Battery percentage?

Thing are much easier with the unlocked bootloaders!
Charge your phone all night long even if you don't see any sign of life (green or red led light).
Then hold together the Volume UP button and the power button for few seconds into the fastboot mode (hold both buttons for at least 10 seconds) and let me know.

I tried this before and nothing happened....
then when i connect to the pc by pressing UP+ power button, the pc detected it as QUSB_BULK then i install the qualcomm driver and finally i could see the phone in the usb device.
But after MSMDownloadTool step, the process got stuck and display "memory size" as explained in the thread.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm hoping you have an idea. I have bricked my rooted OnePlus6. I did have Magisk installed. Bootloader was unlocked. I was able to factory reset the phone, but the bootloader was still locked (I had TWRP installed and factory reset using it). I then used Fastboot to relock the bootloader, and that's when my troubles started. I could only get into Fastboot. I found a solution on the web, installed the Qualcomm drivers (and they recognize my device, which I connected by holding down the volume up button before connecting to the USB cable), and started the OnePlus 6 (MSM) unbrick tool. However, it just sits there saying "waiting for device". I actually seem to have two entries for the device, one saying Index and one saying "1" (although I think the device is on COM3). Should it take forever? How can I get it past "Waiting for device". Thanks.

I contacted OnePlus and I sent them the phone and they reinstalled the operating system. I was never able to fix it myself. I even had an online session with OnePlus and they couldn't get the MSM software to recognize the phone (even though it was truly connected to my laptop). I also had an issue with my OnePlus 8T that got messed up doing something with Magisk, and OnePlus reinstalled the operating system as well. I still can't boot from the A partition though; just the B partition.

Okay, for anyone facing same problem as me, i found solution (working for me). Before using MSM Tool, you need to install Qualcomm USB Drivers.
During instalation you need to choose second option "ETHERNET-DHCP"!
At first, I chose WWAN-DHCP - which caused problem with connection
