What a amazing news congratulations bro
Ne mutlu türküm diyene.

Thanks bro. I needed this and also this:
NE MUTLU TÜRKÜM DİYENE!

Close thread. Its misleading. Currently lg g4 bootloader cannot in any be relocked. Lg g2 and optimus bootloader can be relocked and i suspect the youtube video link user posted shows another device that looks like the g4. User doesn't provide link or factual evidence. Nothing to see here.

Relax..We give a chance...

We do not allow the discussion of IMEI changing on XDA.
Regarding the bootloader re-lock the user is more than welcome to create a thread about that if it is real, until then...

Cannot root, or cannot root "yet"?
Hopefully it will. Can't imagine getting a G4 and have it locked down forever!

agree it will come but the few weeks thingy (for ALL the goodies ) is quite optimistic considering how long it took for the 3 be able to be unlocked which for me is the main goody. from there anything is possible, without too many limitations are enforced IMO.

Certainly.
Following your query, I skipped lunch! and compiled a guide for other G4 owners who may need a little advice:

Good luck.
Mine is rooted now. Just waiting for a bright spark to produce a fab de-odexed ROM so I can use G4's hotspot without getting blocked by the ISP !

I'm pretty sure he's not your colleague... And check out the development section for a guide on installing TWRP. FYI It's only for the H815 model.

possible bootloader frezze fix

Hello everyone, I've been studying IFWI files and I attempted to fix bootloader freezes by modifying some blocks of the IFWI file. I can't test because I don't own the phone anymore so if someone can try this and tell which file worked and fixes the freezes, it would help the entire community. To flash you must first flash the DNX then one of the IFWI files. Thanks.
I will not be responsible for problems caused
Mod edit: link removed.
May I ask a technical explanation about these bins, what is changed and how you made it?

Some blocks of the locked IFWI files have been merged with an unlocked IFWI files. Blocks were sequentially selected and merged and generated one of the 6 IFWI files.

Well, maybe you should try xfstk downloader things, if possible. Search for it, if that works you can get your device back. Actually i was afraid of that and i warned on my thread about that, maybe op can help you.

They probably do it if you're lucky enough.
Lessons learned that we have to be careful with hardware-level files.

True... I said this not because I wanted to know if it was a good idea to root using that link, I already did and I know it isn't I said it because the guy obviously has no clue what he's doing so I asked letchky if it was smart to share this.

Unlock bootloader on an LG G4 H815T

Hello everyone.
I have bought an LG G4 H815T two years ago and I can't stand the official firmware anymore.
I know loads of threads exist on that subject, so let me explain why my case is slightly different.
I am stuck on software version v10b-GLOBAL_COM : Android 5.1, build number LMY47D.
When I check on the "update" tab, it says it's up-to-date.
When I check with LG Bridge, it says i'm up-to-date.
I asked LG, they won't do anything for me.
If I try to unlock my phone the official way, LG tells me I can't do it because that version (Australian market) can't not be unlocked.
I can't get unlock.bin to work when I reboot the phone in fastboot nor unlock it with ADB.
I saw the thread "unlock any G4 with UsU" but in the requirements it says it needs android 6.0+ or it will hard-brick the phone.
What can I do? My phone is literally not usable, I really need a custom rom.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers,
SIHS.

I suppose I can, but don't I need an unlocked bootloader to flash that update?
Also, I fear that updating to V20E will make the anti-rollback system over version v2 which would be a problem even for UsU, right?
