Issues installing Kodi 15.2 & FireStarter v3.2.1 - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having issues installing Kodi & FireStarter onto my TV Stick.
I downloaded adbFire 2.01 for Windows & added my TV stick, when I select to install Kodi 15.2 & FireStarter v3.2.1 it takes over 5 minutes to install, but never installs.
Any ideas? I already tried resetting my stick to factory settings and re-downloaded all the programs and files. Still having the same issue.

Use AGK Fire from the Amazon or Google play store on your phone and push the apps to your Fire stick. That's the quickest and easiest way.
Juat make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as your Fire stick.

Amazon Fire TV freezing on Firestarter page

I am a new Fire TV owner and have downloaded the ES file manager app, then I installed Firestarter, then I installed Kodi and had Wookie running on that, then I tried to put Mobdro onto Kodi using kodisrael repo. It crashed. I powered off and left for a while powered back on and it loads up AFTV screen then Firestarter then Freezes remote not making a click sound doing nothing ? Help how do I fix ?
Did you do anything else? Root, hiding packages, etc.?
Try to connect an USB keyboard and navigate through the firestarter settings. There are several autostart settings in the app, also disable the ADB-mode.
Edit:
Can you still connect via ADB?

Kodi icon missing ... only can launch via settings manage apps Fire TV 2

Fire TV 2, rooted, TWRP, with Sloane pre-rooted 5.2.4
Other apps I sideload appear in my apps list except Kodi (tried both 16 and 17). Tried several times. I do not see it at the end of the apps list.
Any suggestions on making this appear on the home screen thru any method?
Thanks
UPDATE: Found solution that worked for me. Amazon Appstore, Clear Data, Cache.

Can't install Kodi on Fire TV1 anymore. Help!

Hello, I am about ready to give up on my Fire TV 1. Currently, I am on Software 51.1.6.3_user_516012020, and I apparently have root, bootloader, etc. However, due to low memory space, I ended up deleting (through ADB) the Amazon Home screen. Now nothing works. I did a factory reset (probably a bad idea), and still can't get anything to work. I have tried installing Kodi 17.4 with the Downloader app, and get a "parse error." Installation fails when I tried to install through ADBFire. Finally, install fails on App2Fire as well, with the message: "Upload successful, ERROR listing packages: Broken pipe."
I'm at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would even ship the device to you, if you could fix it! Should I just upgrade to a Fire TV 2 at this point?
Don't know if this will make any difference, but try sideloading the firestarter / appstarter app ( name was changed over time). In the app settings is the option to directly install the latest version of kodi. I've had a few issues in the past where I couldn't get it to install using adbfire, but it worked when using the appstarter / firestarter gui interface. I believe firestarter or appstarter still boots directly into its gui interface if you've got root. If you can sideload the appstarter or firestarter apk, reboot the fire tv and see if it boots into the app's gui interface. Go to settings and you'll see a kodi option allowing you to download kodi 17.4. No guarantees, but worth a shot.
Come to think of it, you've probably bricked it. See if there's anything that's useful in this article

How can I get OpenVPN working with Kodi & Do I need to root my Amazon Fire TV Stick?

How can I get OpenVPN working with Kodi & Do I need to root my Amazon Fire TV Stick?
Hi,
Currently I've done a really weird hacky way of getting my VPN working...
1. Installed NordVPN via Apps2Fire
2. Installed KodiOnBoot via Apps2Fire
3. Setup NordVPN to Boot on Launch
4. Setup KodiOnBoot to Launch Kodi after 120 Seconds of Screen Timeout (Alternatively I can just press Home & Load Kodi manually)
NordVPN was a nussiance to get it to where I've managed to get it to so far because you can't scroll down in the settings correctly. Likewise the same problem with OpenVPN's application, I can't scroll down so I can't even get that app to boot...
However in Kodi there is an OpenVPN app you can download via https://brianhornsby.com/kodi_addons/openvpn however when trying to setup that it just tells me to Check the Log because it failed to connect to the .opvn file yet I can't find the log and I have a feeling its to do with root/su.
Any ideas what I should do to get around this?
Thanks

Are there any stable Lineage OS ports for the Fire TV Stick 4K {Mantis}?

Is there a possibility in the future for a stable Lineage OS rom for the Fire TV Stick 4K? I'm already seeing Lineage OS available for other Fire TV devices, not the 4K Fire TV Stick. At this point I'm already tired of Fire OS and it's limitations. I've disabled system applications to see what they do to debloat my Fire TV Stick 4k, searched and searched numerous times on what these packages do, no luck. Is there also a chance to fully replace the Fire TV launcher with a home selection prompt built in? It'd be interesting to see a zip file to download that contains a home selection to whatever launcher you want and having the ability to get Firestarter and Firestopper work again. Disabling Not in my house didn't solve the problem, I'm looking deeper with this issue. There's a lot of problems with Fire OS itself lacking settings to enable usage access, the full developer options and not just apps from unknown sources and adb debugging, my goal with the stick is to remove everything Amazon done to make these apps as their "blacklist" there seems to be an automation within the system that prevents you from making these apps work. Help would be very much appreciated to solve this for all Fire TV users with root permissions and twrp

No LineageOS yet for Mantis on Fire TV threads. Can you only customize/modify your Fire TV into full stock Android:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/customizing-fire-tv-stick-4k-mantis-t4025723
You want to grant your app's usage access permission using ADB:
Code:
adb shell
pm grant <package-name-here> android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS
//Example
pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS
