Help Easiest Method coming from TWRP & Cyanogenmod 12.1 To Stock - T-Mobile LG G3

Is there a one click program someone has created for this? I'm wondering about when the D851 gets MM from LG and would like to test it out? I have seen the latest tmobile rom posted, can I just flash that and it keeps twrp?, but makes it stock? OTA and all that? When I had my nexus 5 I used a program WUGFRESH that was a nice GUI and walked noobs like me through the process go to and from stock and back to custom roms.

[Q] Suggest a ROM for CWM that has Android 4.4.3 on HTC One Verizon m7

Hi there geniuses of XDA! (somewhat of a noob here)
Need some help. I want to update my VZW HTC One (m7) to the Android L version (I think its out now, maybe not though, if not 4.4.3). I currently have Android 4.2.2. I am rooted, unlocked, and S-Off. I am running ClockworkMod Recovery and have a nandroid backup in that, that I would like to maintain in case things go wrong. It is my understanding that if I were to switch to TWRP my backup would not work, so I would like to stay with CWM. So can anyone provide a suggestion of a good ROM to get that will bring me up to current version and will still work with CWM?
Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.
Steve
Also let me point out that I am still on Firmware 1.10.605.8. How do I get this updated? Looks like most of the current ROMs require later firmware. Basically I rooted last year, day one when I got the phone and have not updated anything since then. So I really need some help on getting current. Step by step instructions would be most helpful.
Thanks

See people's response in your other question thread. Furthermore, I would like to add that after you update your firmware from santod's thread - you will want to update to the latest ROM. We do not have L as you have requested. There is a preview floating around in the international forum, but it is not for daily use and not for VZW. I suggest - if you want stock to either use Santod's stock rom's as they are stock completely or Andybone's which are stock with minor tweaks. Outside of that there are stock based ROM's that have an abundance of tweaks - NuSense, Ecliptic, Viper, etc.
If you run into recovery issues (due to potentially outdated CWM) - I suggest trying Philz. It is CWM based but easier to use. You should be able to access your backup. You can also pull the backup off your phone and save it on a computer. It will be saved in clockworkmod/backups or something.

I would recommend Viper for sense 6 / 4.4.2, Santod's GPE 4.4.4 for gpe, or CM11 4.4.4 for a great aosp experience.
Just one thing to point out - if you move away from sense roms, you will lose some camera function. Only the sense camera(which only works on sense roms) really works well. If you go GPE or AOSP you will see a noticable drop in camera boot times, focus times and flash timing.

Have you unlocked your bootloader ?
No not too sure how to do that. Any good threads you guys reccomend.
Many thanks
So I know this is scary for you and because it is something new, therefore be sure that you want to live with the responsability if something goes wrong.
Now, the next forum thread tells you how to flash an already rooted image BUT, and this is very important, this works only if you have the version 10c installed (Check in About Phone>Software Version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/root-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765
If you have the latest version of the software (20a) the best thing is to unlock your bootloader, void your warranty in the process, and flash a custom recovery. After that, you just need to flash the SuperSu zip file and you will have root.
To flash custom ROMs, just access recovery and flash the zip file of your ROM.
I'm using the unofficial CM13.0 and works very good for me, but I do miss the official camera app.
Thankyou very much for your advice okarr. Will look into this

Get from Rooted Lollipop 13b to Stock Marshmallow

I'm tired of the problems and struggle I've had attempting to use my rooted G4. I'm currently on 13b rooted and it's been giving me problems. It randomly reboots and doesn't start up at times. And it's so sluggish. I've gotten a replacement because I flashed the wrong kdz. I just want my phone to work without all these problems. I just want to get to the stock Verizon MM for my G4. Is this possible?
You should be able to flash the MM kdz - they can be found here in the general section. Be sure to verify it is the correct kdz.
Keep in mind once you go to MM you won't be able to achieve root without downgrading back to LP. I think there is a downgrade thread here in general as well if you need it.

Thank you I just downloaded the KDZ and flashed via LG UP. It installed without any problems. I'm aware that you can't root on MM, I'm ok with that. I need a break from rooting after all of this. Thank you I appreciate it!
Glad to see someone here not happy with rooting the G4. I don't find it worth the risk or the benefits worth it without the ability to flash custom roms. I've never rooted a phone without there being a way to install a custom recovery.
For anyone interested, The Android Central podcast discussed the topic of rooting and flashing roms a bit on their most recent episode. Most of them agreed that there isn't as much of a need anymore to root and flash roms and that it's kind of died down a bit. Features that people used to have to root their phones for are now available on most stock roms.

how to install LGUP tool

i know at the end of the video it says close the app, but dont, just start it and you be upgraded to MM in no time just make sure upgrade is checked
if you want to start fresh, then you can just do what my video says to get refurbished checked
if you upgrade with a rooted rom you have to factory reset your phone inorder for MM to boot

Can you go from retail stock 6.0 with locked bootloader to 5.1.1?

I'm... asking for a friend....
But seriously, I tried following the instructions on the "[Guide] Step by Step from Stock N910V 6.0.1 to hsbadr's CyanogenMod 13.0 " thread, intending to bypass them when I got to the point of being able to jump over to the newer roms, and all I got was a boot loop when I tried flashing in 5.1.1. Is it because I'm on a retail 910v or was it a user error kinda thing? I tried multiple times and couldn't get it to boot after the flash, ended up flashing 6.0.1 back just to get my phone back.
I'm also ready to free the bootloader and root this thing. It seems emotion OS is the most popular and up to date now, correct?
I have the CPL1 update from Verizon( Dec patch). I know there are a bunch of threads with how tos, but it's unclear how outdated they are and whether it works with these latest versions. If someone can confirm the best way to go from cp1 to emotion.. Let me know.
Also.. I saw a while ago a guide on how to go to developer edition. Why isn't that front and center anymore? Isn't Dev edition completely unlocked... Why wouldn't I want to convert to dev edition before dealing with any rom changes? If someone can give some clarification I'd appreciate it.
Great news, I went for the plunge and succeeded. Confirmed -> stock and latest version software as of Jan 20 2017 (CPL1) can be downgraded to 5.1.1, rooted, TWRPed, and blah blah. I used the same guide you mentioned at top (hsbadr's CM13 guide), except i stopped at step 52 and continued to install emotion OS instead. Highly recommend it.
I'm on EmotionOS now. Wow, it was really worth it. So smooth compared to touchwiz 6.0.1. Haven't found a bug yet, but even if i do, i won't care.
I'm not sure what you mean "when i got to the point of installing newer roms". If you got to that point, why were you trying to flash 5.1.1 again?
How did you root it? I flashed mine back to 5.1.1, but I'm not having any luck rooting.

Follow the guide. You are going to go through a complicated process using the king root apk. I think the guide makes you use king root 3 times total to accomplish various parts of the process. King root loads up and spins for a few minutes, eventually succeeds, then you gotta punch in some things to command line using adb. I believe this is rooting your phone a few times.
Eventually you end up with twrp bootloader and jasmine Rom and everything just sticks.
So far.. The only annoying thing with emotion is that I lost volte and video calling. Maybe they'll bring it in one day.

Help upgrading from root kitkat to marshmallow

Hello I'm currently running 4.4.2 with root and I've been thinking about upgrading to marshmallow. I just wanted to know whats the best way going about it. I'm assuming that I'm going to have to re-enable the software updating app that I disabled for I didn't get OEM updates then upgrade to marshmallow and re-root using one of the guides or would a root keeping app or Survival mode on superSU possibly work? I also believe I have TWRP installed from when I rooted my phone before, I'm not sure if that's important info. Also side note, would their be a way to keep the 4.4.2 touch buttons on the bottom of the screen? They make more sense to me then the new ones. Device info below
AT&T
android 4.4.2
software version D85010d
Model number LG-D850
You can't root on marshmallow so if you want root DO NOT update with that app. the easiest way is to just flash a rom. i have the verizon version (vs985) and all i have to do to flash a custom stock rom, is to flash the right modem before flashing the rom, then flashing modem again after the rom and bam, i just flashed a marshmallow rom from kitkat 4.4.2. you can also downgrade that way just flashing the appropriate modem before and after and bam.! but i dont know about your version, you should definitely check the att&t G3 subforum. you need to be careful and read thoroughly so you don't brick. the thing with vs985 is that there are modems out there that can hardbrick the device, however, it may not be the same for others but, just in case you should read.
Thank you I'll look into that. So far I found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-stock-bumped-marshmallow-v30a-t3661194 but I still got more research to do since I'm unfamiliar with flashing modems and whatever "bumped" is exactly. Hopefully this weekend I'll have more time to look into this.
