[Omnirom] Music players bug - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Hello everyone.
As i don't have yet 10 posts i can't add my experience on the original thread then i create this post.
I tried OmniRom. It seems to be really interesting. IMO better than CM, that's just my opinion.
But i'm encountering a bug.
With TIDAL music app player, time spent 2 times faster than normal.
For a 4 minutes songs at the end i have 8min/4min. And after the player go to the next song but i don't have audio at the output (speaker, headphone or USB).
It seems this bug is not new as i can find a lot of thread with google.
Does anyone have an advice ?

Desire Music Playback

Hi there,
I'm new to these forums and am really interesting in the HTC Desire. Being a user of Sony Walkman phones for the last 4 years music playback is a huge part of my phone usage.
I'm wondering as a device without an equaliser how does this rate compared to other phones for music playback? Is it possible to download third party music playback software?
Otherwise this phone looks perfect, possibly too good to be true at £15 a month on t-mobile!
Hi, check the GSMarena review - sound quality is top notch! (so why would you want to ruin good sound fidelity with an EQ?).
Problems with non-unicode tagging leads to things being seen as "Unknown Genre" by the music player, which is a significant bummer for some (like me).
Theres plenty of third party software, some with EQs.
same boat here.. i have been a Sony walkman user for the last 10 years and sound quality was/is top of my agenda..
the Desire is pretty good i'd have to say.. ok doesnt sound as good as my Sony X series walkman but its unlikely to as thats a dedicated audio/video device.. the nice thing about android is that there's a choice of apps you can use for music playback.. the stock one is fine but a bit boring.. i downloaded 'cubed' last night and its got a pretty neat interface..
i would like an equaliser to be able to add treble/bass etc.. and i've seen it in some players.. but the interfaces are a bit iffy at the moment.. hopefully in time someone will create an all singing all dancing music player..
oh and just keep an eye on the the low volume threads here.. some people have gotten phones that the volume is very low on but mine (unlocked unbranded from carphone warehouse) is plenty loud..
Cheers,
Mick

Cheers for the feedback I'm glad the audio is pretty decent! The idea of using a standard headphone jack is a nice change to the SE phones.
Another question is can you change song without having to whap it out? It may sound strange but when I'm walking to say University, I can currently just hit the rocker switch on the side of the phone to change track - is that the case with the Desire?
Or do I have to bring it out, unlock it, and then change track, relock it, then tidy it away? Hope not!

If you use the bundled HTC headphones, then no. They come with media controls on the wire.
But if you use your own headphones, then yes. You'll have to take the device out, press the standby button to wake the device and skip to the track you want. You don't have to unlock and jump into the music application. There are music controls at the lock screen for back, play/pause, and forward.
Ah of course I forgot about those headphones. Thanks!
Now I just have to wait until January

Haha, January?! Why the wait? Surely by that time, there would be something else available that's more desirable...
You can control tracks/play/pause from the lockscreen.
I have a question to users of the Desire: when you put videos on the device and upload them to the memory card, can you arrange them into a playlist on the device itself to be able to play a series of music videos, without having to select each one, and also to be able to skip tracks, fast forward and shuffle???
Can the built-in music player play a video playlist?
If not, can the video player play a playlist with videos separately from music (and even just play the audio file if the screen is shut off)?
If not still, is there any application - video player - on Android Market that supports video playlists and shuffle, skip and fast forward?
I would not dream of being able to change the playback speed tho, just to be able to play vids right. I'd appreciate any your insights
Meridian is a great music/video player!

the speaker isnt so good, though
I'm finding the music via earphones to be a little low. Are there any players with EQ so I could boost it up a bit?
I know people on UK T-Mobile ROM's had an issue with low music volume but I don't think that's the same issue with mine as i'm using the generic ROM.

[Q] Music play back problems

Hi people,
i have only recently started using the onboard music player for my MP3's.
When I pause it, then go back to it a while later (usually more than 10ish minutes) when i play again the start position can be up to 3 or 4 minutes before where I stopped it. It's like dejavu a lot of the time.
I had to do a full reset the other day, and the problem is still the same.
And it applies to audio that has been converted by a variety of different sources.
Andy suggestions as to what it could be (or as a final point, a great small basic music app)
Thanks in advance
(and yes, my phone always locks so the start position shouldnt be changed whilst jangling in my pocket)

I'd recommend "MortPlayer" from the market. Great basic player with a good equalizer, and it plays by folder so if your tags are incorrect it won't mess up your albums.
Edit: Oh, and it's free. Always a bonus.
thanks, ill give it a go. Although any insight to the odd behavior of the stock player would be great.. if anyone has any ideas?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Q] Best Music Player with Play by Rating?

Hi, I want a music player for my HOX, the stock music player is perfectly fine for me, but it's missing one option I really want/need and would help me listen to my music much more effectively.
The MAIN!!! feature I want is I want to be able to give my songs, star rating, and then create playlists based on star rating.
Such as
Favourites (Only shows songs with 5 stars)
Good (Shows songs with 4/5 stars)
Ok (Shows songs with 3/4/5 stars) etc
Also I want to ensure the music player doesn't effect my sound quality, as I've tried DoubleTwist and it made my music half as loud (half as quiet? )
Thanks for any help in advanced.
Anyone?!
Someone must know a bloody music player that you can play by rating?
Lol?!
Power AMP is pretty much the best music player ive used.
It gives you the ability to rate songs (up to 5 stars) and Enqueue songs based on this criteria.
Download the trial version and give it ago - also the graphic equaliser is top notch
THANKYOU FOR ANSWERING ME AND I WILL TRY?!
Surely others have used poweramp that have viewed this thread, thanks for your help lol.
Arse's.
so you post a question completely irrelevant to HOX in its q&a section, meaning youre not following forum rules, and youre upset because you didnt get an answer for a while? and you call names?? wth is wrong with you??
oh and SEARCH BEFORE POSTING! im pretty sure you couldve found the answer just by googling the question.
this is a forum, not a helpdesk...
and just to get on topic, yeah, poweramp is the best player out there, it has a lot ot features, and a nice ui. worth the money.

[Q] Google Play Music inconsistency with FLAC

i've just switched from i9023 to i9250. the crappy sound was a great disappointment but i've found some patched kernel with sound improvements, so it's acceptable now. it's still far from a voodoo'd crespo, but it's OK now.
the only problem i cannot tackle with is the inconsistency of flac playback. some albums encoded in flac play fine but some others are not even recognised by the GPM. so as to track down the problem, i searched for two albums i encoded with the same flac lib with the same encoder setting, exactly. But not; one is playing fine but the other is being constantly refused. as both albums play perfect on crespo, i must have concluded that it's something very specific to maguro.
both phones have the same player (4.4.811H), auto-updated from play store. on crespo i have 4.1.2 stock, on maguro it's just upgraded to 4.2.1 stock ota.
any help would be greatly appreciated
thx !
There's a few commits laying around in aosp/master about FLAC.
Try cyanogenmod.

the stock Google Play music player is a mess. So many lags in the UI, aniamtions are slow, the transitions are laggy and painful. The whole app is messy as **** and should be recoded from the ground and put on a new UI.

thx, but i don't think to install another rom just because of this issue. i've tried aosp in the meantime, but besides the flac problem i've got gallery desynched; one by one it crapped all the apps synched with it (camera, talk, g+, ...) so i wont change to have more problem than i have now
would you, please, direct/link me to those sparse comments. i've made several hours search, but i haven't found anything about to this issue.

i don't really mind how a music player looks like as i use it for listening to music. usually it's run in the background, so i don't really care about such issues. anyway, i tried several other players but the problem is persistent, so, again, it must be an inherent problem of maguro and not specific to GPM. again, exactly the same player plays fine the albums on crespo being not even recognised on maguro.

Music player problem

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this. I have installed Bliss ROM 6.4 on my G3 and sometimes when I start a song the volume spikes for a split second and gets back to normal, which is very umcomfortable, obviously
What can I do to fix this? Is this a bug of the CM player?
I like this app, so I don't know if it's worth switching to another player. I feel like the audio quality was better on the stock LG player though.
I hope someone can help me here
Regards,
