Galaxy Apps installs on Verizon (T807v) Tab S - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The scenario is that if any one user on this tablet installs certain apps from the Galaxy Apps (store), then other users will receive a failure "Installation failed. Try later. (SIG_FAILED)" if they try to install the same application.
An example would be the Kindle for Samsung app. (There are others, this one is just the most annoying.)
It doesn't matter if the tablet owner-account (me) installs it first, or another user installs it first, the other will not be able to.
Searching for SIG_FAILED has, well, failed, and I cannot make progress on resolving this - if it is even resolvable.
The problem was not present before the update to 5.0.2, and since then, each time a new release of Kindle for Samsung is released, I try it again only to find the problem is still there.
Anyone else experience this?

[Q] Problem: Unable to install Samsung apps through Kies

Hi,
I just bought the phone and I am still mastering the beast.
I finally managed to install Kies and I downloaded couple of Samsung apps. Everytime I click on Samsung apps, I get a warning saying "This phone is not supported by Samsung apps". I am on JF6 firmware. I was able to download but unable to install as the install options seems to be greyed out. Also, in Samsung apps, under the "Select a phone" option, I get S8500L and S8500 as the two options.
Can someone please help. I have the stock phone as is.
That's because they (stupidly) don't have any Android apps on there yet, they are all Symbian or Windows Mobile.
Amazing! (in a wrong way). Thanks for clarifying. I will download Android apps directly through some other way.
the only way to install samsung apps, is via the samsung app itself inside the phone
don't use kies
then the rest of the apps are in Android market
Damn..i have the same question in my mind. I want to install Samsung Apps on my phone
any news if is it possible to install samsung apps on a galaxy s running ics from teamhacksung??

After Lollipop, Package Access Helper has stopped when moving some apps to SD card

I have the Note from Verizon so everything is stock. After updating to Lollipop I factory reset it and after that the Package Application Helper stops every time I try to move certain apps to the SD card. First I noticed it every time I try to move Skype, also quite a few apps from the amazon app store. I factory reset it again and installed no apps from Google backup, then I installed just Skype and the Helper app crashed on trying to move to the SD again. I can't find any posts about this crash except for on the Kindle. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem?
This is now happening to me.
I factory reset, and this message appears while trying to install an application from the Amazon App Store.
I'm having the same issue with the Package Access Helper when trying to move some apps. Specifically two games from Humble Bundle 11, which I purchased yesterday. Helper crashes when when attempting to move 80 Days to SD. Riddick crashes on installation, so the "App not installed" prompt shows up 15 seconds after.
I'm also having the same issue both trying to move apps to the SD Card and simply trying to install apps from both Humble Bundle and the Amazon App store. It seems limited to specific apps on each store - some install fine, some get the error. I have not run into the issue where I have gotten the error and been able to install the app on another attempt. My Verizon Note 4 was factory reset after the upgrade as well.
I haven't encountered the error on any Play Store Apps at the moment (Badland couldn't be installed via Humble Bundle or Amazon App Store, but the F2P version on the Google Play Store installed without issue).
Has anyone tried on another lollipop device or a non-Verizon Note 4 running lollipop? I'm going to try installing one of the problem apps tonight on my wife's lollipop GS5 and see if the error occurs. I can't seem to determine if this is an incompatibility/format change with old APKs, or if Verizon simply pushed out a dud Package Access Helper build with the Note 4 update.
We tried installing one of the problem apps on my coworkers lollipop Nexus 5 using the Amazon App store - no problems there with the same trouble app. Looks like something with either Samsung's or Verizon's update package that is corrupted and causing this issue.
I had the same message when trying to restore apps via Helium.
How can this be fixed?
It is still happening today.
I haven't found a work around for it. Seems like Samsung may have pushed out a broken image for their update. I started a thread on the GalaxyNote4 subreddit and it appears that other people are having the same issue on the AT&T varient of the Note 4. It's probably going to remain in a broken state until Samsung and the carriers push out an additional update, or individual APKs are updated to work around the bug (unlikely).
I am unable to install any of these apps from the Amazon appstore: Angry Bird Transformers, Braveland, Knock-Knock but that is only 3 out of 50 and rest installed fine. There are quite a few Amazon apps that won't move to the SD card though. I haven't had any problems installing a Google Play app and only Skype refuses to move to the SD and crashes the helper app.
Same problem here, although I'm on AT&T. Now I didn't factory reset my phone after the lollipop OTA yet, so I have apps not from Google Play still able to move on to the SD card. The apps that are not from Google Play are from the Oculus store, what's odd is that I just downloaded two apps, however one was able to move to the SD card and the other spawns the error.
I am unable to install Pinball Collection HD, Badland, Back To Bed and a few others from the Amazon App Store on my Note 4 due to this error. Both Badland and Back To Bed install without issue from the play store though. I definitely get the error more often trying to move apps to the SD card - same issue with Skype. It's definitely app dependent - probably some of the apps calling whatever code is corrupted in the Package Access Handler component vs others that don't call the suspect functions.
My wife has the GS5 and it's updated to Lollipop (and has not been factory reset - simply upgraded). We tried installing the same apps on her phone using the Amazon App Store and it worked fine.
This looks like Samsung pushed out a shoddy ROM for 5.0.1 on the Note 4. I can't believe nobody caught this before all the carriers propagated it to the public.
I put in a tech support inquiry to both Amazon and Samsung about this issue. Not sure if it will get any traction, but the Amazon support request has been escalated. Maybe they'll put some pressure on Samsung to push out a fix in the near future.
Same thing is happening to me since the update. Then I got to thinking sometimes apps are moved automatically to the SD card. Also looked at other forums regarding older updates like kitkat, and someone noted they removed their SD card.
Let's give it a shot! Sure enough out of the 4 apps that wouldn't install from Amazon I'm on number three that is installing with no problem.
So try this as a work around.
Yeah. I can't install any non market app. Have the right security checked, too. No Humble Bundle, no Amazon. Either they hang and install forever or I get the Package Access Helper has stopped error. This happened after the lollipop update, so I did a factory reset and it didn't solve it.
This might be because of the Internal SD write problem with the last versions of Android. Go to the Play Store and get the "Foldermount" app and run it. If the problem is there it'll tell you and offer to fix it. After the fix reboot.
That seems to be for root only. I'm on a Verizon retail Note 4.

Well fiddle sticks. I guess that leaves that one out. Sorry.
Yeah, my Pinball Collection HD won't install either.
I did a factory reset upon updating to Lollipop on Verizon.
When will Samsung fix this?
I love that game!
Still no fix for this?
I got Amazon to credit my account $5 for my troubles.
possibly solved.
Hey guys,
I might have found a fix that did in fact work for me which I found on a reddit post I believe, I don't remember the site.
Verizon Note 4 5.0.1
To install an amazon app store app, first unmount your SD card, then try downloading and installing again. For me this worked and afterwards I just went back into settings and mounted my SD card again.

Problem with Kitkat 4.4.4 for Wave from Volk204. Plus, is der SuperSU inside or not

Hello. I'm new here. Since I have no permission to write in this (volk204s) Thread. I try my luck here.
Preliminary. I am German and I can not to speak English. So I use an additional translator.
I hope my request is granted and you'll excuse my handicap.
The Problem:
I own a Samsung Wave GT-S8500. It had then an O2 branding.
I have it debranded and so came one year earlier Bada2.0.
So now running for a few years Bada 2.0.
I am making some time keen on Android it.
I found this community and see that there are KitKat 4.4.4 and now already supports all functions of the phone.
Without further ado flashed. Android is going well.
Slight problems with Wi-Fi, but the corresponding thread I found suggestions. I get the problem under control.
In the Guide explains that there is no root privileges and one has yet to install SuperSU.
When I install it, disappears the app and I can do nothing.
By the way: I installed gapps. The phone responds hesitantly. Especially when I still install the Messenger and use.
So I flash scratch. No improvement.
I installed the app provider. When you start this app, a message appears indicating that the cell phone has root privileges. Whether I really want to run.
I was surprised. So I flash a third time.
This time I'm in Recovery Mode in the File Manager. Have the folder "supersu" found.
Inside are more files, as it also includes the App SuperSU.
99SuperSUDeamon
install-recovery.sh
su
Superuser.apk
My question: Is the app for now but preinstalled entirely?
Probably there is therefore also conflicts, if I install the app from the Store or TWRP.
I then file all renamed, also the folder. Before I then made a reboot. and the phone has set itself.
After the phone has set itself I became a error massage. Error: unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped.
But it works realy fine. Better then befor. It even runs with gaaps better than before without. Not quite as smooth but more then before. Subjectively
Even the Messenger is running much better.
But after a few minutes chat, the phone has frozen. Since it hangs in a boot loop.
For me now nothing remains but to start again with Bada. For the fourth time.
I would now like to know how do I solve the problem with SuperSU.
And that it runs as good as after I made the files renamed (unusable) beefore the Phone setup itself.
Excuse the many lines.
Possibly Volk204 is reading this. From which the rom is.
Greetings

Google Play Services has stopped working

So TIFU by losing my iPhone. And i ****ed up even more by updating my backup spare Galaxy Nexus from 4.1 to 5.1 directly without clearing data or doing any background study. Simply went to update and there the plight started. I was connected to Wifi but my Play Store wasnt working. Was saying no network or something on those lines with the "Retry" button. So i thought uninstalling Playstore and reinstalling would be a good idea. NOT. It wasnt even close to the right step, now everything is crashing and I dont know what I should be doing next. If someone can tell me the best way to get to a new installation of 5.1.1 on this device and root it, it would be great. I right now have CWM recovery 6.3.x(?) installed. I wish to at least be able to install apps from the appstore and update the 2 year old applications. Please help.

Huawei Mediapad M2 A01W Rootin Help

Just bought a demo tablet from work and have had problems trying to get the retail demo app removed 'Liszt'
I have managed to disable the app, however this only works temporarily, as soon as you restart the tablet you have to go through the whole process of disabling again.
I have tried factory reset.
I have tried Kingo Root through a computer, it said it had succeeded however did not install SuperSu so obviously did not root properly. I have tried installing SuperSu through google play store however whenever you go into it it just comes up with 'SU Binary Occupied' so something obviously isn't correct.
I have installed 'System App Remover (ROOT)' an when opening the app it seems to think that it has rooting capabilities however when trying to uninstall Liszt it just says that it has failed.
I am pulling my hair out here trying to get this sorted and every tutorial or online info on this tablet is outdated and has links that just go absolutely nowhere, so please do not just send me to another thread where all the information and files are just non existent as you just cant follow it.
Anyone out there with previous experience in either rooting this tablet or removing 'Liszt' let me know what options I have.
Thanks in advance!
