Hi,
Sorry if this question has been asked. I googled quite a bit but just can't find an answer.
Most ROMs posted here are modified, they are good for personal use. But now I am looking for the pure stock rom from Sprint for LS980, those can be flashed with LG tools. The best I can find is a ZVE rom. Is there any ZVG rom available?
TIA

Since no one is going to have anything good to say about you or this thread due to it being posted in the Dev section and that the G2 forums are filled with jerks, I thought I'd try to be of help.
I came across your thread while looking for almost the same thing... a stock rooted ZVH or ZVI rom to flash.
Like you, I couldn't find one.
It looks like ZVE is the last KDZ that's available for our G2 and I really only see ZVG rooted roms.
In your case, why don't you go back to ZVE and take all the OTA updates to get current and unrooted?
I did find this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g2/general/zvi-ota-update-zip-t3266332
The link in the OP has all the update.zip files, I presume unrooted and just pulled from the cache partition.
I agree with xNotta. Your best bet is to go with an older version, ota update to zvh, and do a factory reset. Or if you've got a custom recovery, flash agimax's full stock rom which is only rooted. I'm currently using his ultra variant.

Hello, I have a Desire Z NOT G2 that I bought. I rooted it using the gfree method posted on the wiki section of the site. There is a new update for it and I'm afraid to return it to stock because the process mentions the ROM for a G2. Can someone please help me. I don't know what to do. Is there a RUU or ROM I can use? I am currently on Build number 1.34.707.5. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Don't apply the over the air update. It will remove root and mess with the phone.
In order to root the DZ, the software had to downgrade to the 1.34 software, which you now have. This is not the latest software of course.
If you want a stock ROM with the latest OTA update, go to the dev section and find a pre-rooted ROM that is based on the latest update. You can then flash through ROM manager and you'll keep root and have the latest OTA.
Be sure to do a nandroid backup before you flash, of course.
Thanks. The thing is I already tried to apply the update but it didn't work. I'll start looking around. Any suggestions on what ROMs I should get. Thanks. I ask because I am a complete Noob is there a pre rooted like you said based on a 1.72 with its camera and battery life improvements? I'm looking now for the developers section. Thanks!!!!!!
I sold my Note 2 for Sprint and I now just want to flash a stock Touchwiz ROM or near stock at least. I haven't used the phone in a few months and i've looked over the development forum but i'm unclear on what to flash. I remember seeing a stock ROM but I can no longer find it. I am currently on Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4, baseband L900VPAMA7. All I want is the easiest way to send my phone to the buyer with a stock or near stock experience. I want the easiest avenue because I do not want to brick the phone right before I send it out. I also have a nandroid of my first stock backup of Android 4.1.1 which I don't know if it is safe to flash. Can someone please steer me in the right direction? It would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the response.
From what I gathered and correct me if i'm wrong, simply flashing the MC2 Stock zip, it will unroot the phone and take me back to stock (what version of Android does it downgrade to? Will the phone be able to receive the updated versions of Touchwiz?). If I want to stay rooted, then i flash the root.zip file right after i flash the MC2 Stock zip? (Would this be able to get updates to Touchwiz?)
Are there any other alternatives to getting a stock experience?
I did this about 2 month ago and it went back to stock unroot...yes u will be able to update... also it u want to stay rooted then flash the root file right after before again before rebooting and it will stay rooted ...no if stay rooted u will not be able to get update.... If u reall wanted to stay rooted there's a few stock rooted rom .. link provided

If you have taken the ne2 ota or flashed it with odin DO NOT FLASH that file. If you have not taken the ne2 update than it is ok to use.

I have some problems with my Stock T-Mobile rom that is forcing me to switch to a different ROM to troubleshoot it. I thought of installing the cleanest Lollipop rom and see.
Searching in the forum I see many many Roms but which one is the most basic version (google version)?
I appreciate your help.

You have it backwards, you don't fix issues with unofficial rom builds,(especially lollipop),, you do it by installing full stock firmware using odin.
In your case you need to install NK2 full firmware and your phone should be like new.
By the way, to answer your question, there is no "official" lollipop rom for the m-919.

So Although I have NK2 right now and I have done reset of my phone which did not solve the issue, you are saying I should reinstall the whole Stock Firmware? I even have a backup of my phone ROM before it exhibited this problem. I can just reinstall that, correct?

I don't know what type of backup you have but if it is a Nandroid then I guess it might be a custom recovery.
Odin back to stock and see if the GPS works. If that doesn't work, there's not much else.
You haven't changed regions where you operate the GPS? There are apps to change that.
THe backup is the one I made using TWRP recovery.
I am not understanding the GPS comment. I have no problem with GPS.
Hello,
I am currently running a stock rooted 10r ROM right now, and have been away from the XDA scene for a while. Looking at a couple threads, I see that the new update 20B has came out, and I am eager to flash it! Is there anything extra I must do before flashing any stock 20B ROM that was different than before?
So far the only new thing I have seen is to update the bootstack. If there is any advice or anything I should be careful with that people have missed, then it'd be great to hear what I should watch out for.
Thanks!

besides flashing the bootstack and SUPERSU and twrp there's nothing special. Just do a backup of your kitkat including the efs just in case you don't like lollipop you can revert. I would suggest flashing micromod777 stock rooted debloated Rom
First off.....I deal with Samsung devices and not very familiar with LG. Would like to get my wife's Sprint LG from ZVD to latest (assuming it is ZVG). I've spent some time reading forum posts and see plenty of "return G2 to stock" but it doesn't list what version of stock they are taking the device back too.
Assuming I have to get the bootloader and modem updated to lollipop, and use LG Flash Tool, what files do I need for this? Is there a stock 5.0.2 rom image somewhere?
Thanks.

If she is on zvd, and it is a Sprint phone on sprint network. It should automatically update. If it is not on sprint network, do not tot out go back to stock.
Use something like cloudy kit kat rom 2.2, or cm build. As you can set it up to work on the other network.(gsm)
Lollipop 5.0.2 there is no stock base on it. You would have to go to zve stock, then let it upgraded to zvg. Or sideload it.
There are too many changes to just flash a different ROM, and get to the latest.

Yes... It is a Sprint device on the Sprint network. The update has not been pushed yet and Sprint cannot help with getting it done. That is the issue. If there is no 5.0 base then there is no way to upgrade it manually then? Seems odd to me but guess it is what it is. Would think someone could pull the OTA from the device and upload so a base could be made.

Agimax made a stock based rom called ultra pop. But just going straight to it bricks. Firmware and partitions change, radio, and software.
Even going from his slimmed down version to stock messes up. I tried that going to cloudy 3.3.
You can stock to zve, and push the upgrade to zvg. There are the zvg upgrade zips sitting out here. But you can't just go to it I hear.
You also have to remember lollipop is on a different cache. The older versions were davlik and lollipop runs on art.
2 completely different things.
