I bought this phone second hand so i a not sure. can you take a look at the pictures and let me know. ive bought a wireless charging dock from samsung waiting for it to come
No, it's not for wireless charging. You need to replace the sticker or buy a special backplate.
You just need a qi wireless charging sticker that costs about $10 to enable wireless charging.

I'd like to know that too. I have same cover like Passportpowell and i think this is just NFC antenna. See attached pic.
Passportpowell please let us know if charger works once it arrive. Thank you
EDIT:
I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/wireless-charging-t3105154
then search on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_sop=15&_nkw=lg+g4+wireless+sticker&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1
So, for our cover we need to remove current sticker and stick new one. This one for example:http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Black-Qi-Wireless-Charging-Sticker-Receiver-With-NFC-IC-Chip-For-LG-G4-F500-/272030501486?hash=item3f56480a6e:g:5KsAAOSwT5tWMd2s
OR just buy Quick Circle Case.

I've been looking at these two products for my sprint galaxy s3 and I have some specific questions. I did lots of searching and I hope what I know so far is right if not please correct me. Both of these are the qi standard. I also believe the Powermat I already own is qi standard.
The verizon back cover will work for charging but the nfc will not work with it.
The Powermat is a case that fits completely over the phone. Does mhl and nfc still work with this case?
What mah do these charge at?
Anyone who owns these would you please test this out for me. I am trying to decide what to buy.

I have used this case and the NFC does not work with the case. The MHL adapter will not work with the case. The case charges at 1amp I think.
Hope thus helps.

powermat and qi products are not currently interoperable with each other especially the older ones. if you have a powermat charger, you need to get a powermat receiver (they sell the backing on amazon and from their official store).

Thanks for the info. I called Powermat and the Rep (who sounded clueless) said nfc and mhl will not work with the case. He also said Powermat is not qi compatible. However, I read a review on Amazon that said nfc tags work with it. So i went on ahead and ordered it. Since i really liked this on my evo. I just wish i could of got it in blue. I will be testing the nfc, mhl, and otg when I get it Thursday. If anyone else has questions about anything else let me know and I will test it and or give pics.

What are you wanting to do, wireless charge via qi. I use energizer 3 position charger $24.00 ebay with Verizon back. The Verizon back is both nfc and wireless charger. Only Verizon phones have extra contacts for nfc to work through the door. The batteries must be nfc compatible also. There are posts of people moding a cheap door $5.00 with a palm charger less $15.00 and using it to wireless charge. But the qi is supposed to be getting an update that will charge at a larger distance thus thicker cases should be able to be charged through. I love the qi. Good luck
Powermat not compatible
See the Galaxy sIII shine via SynergyRom
even the qi receivers you get off ebay that fit underneath the battery door work w/ NFC. It's up to you though. Check the 2nd post in the qi wireless charging thread stickied in this forum. I have a video showing the qi receiver I have and also that it works w/ NFC
I think you are making a better choice for wireless charging but I already own a Powermat so I would like to keep using it. It might not be the best but It always works and works well. I already sucked it up and ordered my Powermat case i will get it tomorrow and tell you guys how it goes.

if it charges, it charges. I guess that's all there is to say to it.
The powermat case you get should work just fine w/ the transmitter that you have. You're a-ok imo
Well here is my review. I have been using the powermat case for awhile now and over all im disappointed. Otg and mhl does not work. It doesnt even want to connect to the computer through a USB cable. When I did get it to connect it didnt want to transfer anything. As far as nfc it sometimes works. The case is pushing up my screen protector on the bottom of my phone and I have a zagg screen protector which is a really nice one. It cost me fifty dollars when I got my phone. I case is hard to put on and off which wouldnt be such a big dill except I end up taking it off all the time to connect things to my phone.
About the only good things about it is... it is a hole case so thats nice if you drop it but the case its self is not very durable. I already have many scratches all over it. it does charge my phone well and seems to charge just as fast as my usb charger that came with my phone.
I think there's some other things im forgetting but I think you get my point. I will keep this since I already have it and my mat from my evo but I dont think I will be buying any more powermat products.
Ps I dont really mind the white case on my blue phone but some might. They dont make any other color yet.

Did anyone already come across a suitable QI receiver pad for the G?
Moto G doesn't support wireless charging.

The battery isn't removable, so it isn't really possible.
I have a MotoG, and upon taking off the back cover, I can't seem to locate the pins normally used with Qi pads like on the Samsungs. So, I may be completely wrong, but as of right now, I think the G will not support wireless charging.
I suppose those could work http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Q...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item3cd871bdf7 but they are a bit besides the point if microusb then cannot be used...
I've ordered one of those Universal Pads and some other stuff from DealExtreme a week ago. I will report back with pictures when it arrives here. The parcel however is still in China and I don't think it will clear german customs until after christmas.

I'm very interested to hear if this works. I haven't been able to find any reviews for those Qi charging coil inserts, either. Have you heard of it working on the Moto G or other phones?
Motorola would have advertised it as having wireless charging if they put it in. This was one of the features they left out to cut the price

I'm asking about those aftermarket coil inserts that supposedly provide Qi charging by plugging into the micro USB and going between the battery cover or a case.

I think you will find the clearances to be too too tight for that. I think the best bet will be if someone integrates it into a shell or case.
I know that the G4 does not include wireless charging without the quick circle case which is why I'm confused about what the sticker is inside of my back cover. It looks like wireless charging... But I don't have anything to test it with. This is the Verizon version. See the attached picture

ahh so thats why the replacement stickers on alliexpress for 9 bux come with nfc and qi..tyvm for that snippet i was wondering what the hell the sticker was as well
Hello guys, I just bought mine yesterday in Indonesia. It's the dual sim LG 818p version. And when I looked at the cover, I was surprised to see what possibly a wireless charging module. I asked the store guys and he don't even know. And I haven't have the chance to test it out yet with a qi wireless charging. But so far, it really does looks like a wireless charging module, right?

That's.... A bummer, it got my hope high ?

You can buy the chip for wireless charging. Its a sticker like thing that goes where the nfc sticker is. You remove the nfc sticker then replace with the new wireless charging/nfc sticker. There like $10 on amazon. Seen it like 2 weeks ago.
And it goes through leather? Further I read that in dual Sim Lg g4, the second Sim slot occupied the space where the connector to the wireless charging is
Nvm, saw the video in pocketnow.
And I was right. The connector is missing in the dual Sim Lg g4. I guess no wireless charging for us
I bought mine in Singapore and it was the leather quick circle case. Unfortunately, there is no sticker comes with it. While I understand wireless charging won't work due to terminal being in SIM1 slot, the NFC is also doesn't work.
I bought a sticker to enable wireless charging for the G4, however I noticed that the sticker covers up the existing 2 contacts on the NFC that came as part of the plastic back. I'm not against installing the sticker to add QI charging, but I'm concerned that it blocks the contacts to the NCF which is already present. I assume others have used the same stickers to add charging and what to know what they had to say on the matter.
Thanks,
ERIC

I just purchased the same QI charging sticker and it has NFC built into it. You have to remove the current NFC sticcker in the case backing and replace it with the QI wireless charging and NFC sticker. The QI charging sticker should have the contacts where the NFC connectors are and also have the contacts for wireless charging, this is why the stock sticker needs to be removed.
Enjoy your wireless charging

The back sticker consists of 2 parts the NFC and also a black lump under it, which I assume needs to also be removed, no instructions make figuring this out fun! Found a picture on Amazon, as to the order of the stickers: QI first then NFC, seemed backwards, but that is what they showed., so that is what I'm doing
As for the sticker it is on and seems to be correct, but the charger does nothing, tried removing it replacing it I'm 99% sure it is correctly placed, but there is no way to check 100%; added some paper behind the contacts to move them forward, still no charging.
Assumed the sticker was bad, I bought 2 tried the second one same thing, tried both bases and both stickers (destroyed the one removing it), still nothing. So either the phone is bad unable to charge via QI, the stickers are reversed, unlikely given it matches pictures or it does not make contact, there is no way to be sure but I'm 99% positive they align. I do not really need QI, just thought it was nice, but currently I'm about to give up on it since the sticker simply do not seem to work and buying a case with it makes no sense.
Using a meter resistance is 0.06 Ohms, when off the QI, on the QI there is a pulse occurring so I assume that means the sticker is good, as a result I do not know what is the issue I do not see any way to monitor how much amperage is produced, perhaps it is too little to register with the phone as a charger?
My thoughts to date, QI via add-on sticker is a waste!, a very cheap waste but a waste ensuring proper contact is basically down to luck, and I'm not having any a 5 minute job has taken an hour of my life so far with no result to show for it.
ERIC
I bought 2 stickers from Aliexpress, rebuild 2 Phones with the sticker, both of them are workin and charging flawless
we have the Black leather back, the embedded sticker in the cover must be removed to succuess.
