Have you tried the other flash tool? I'm not sure if it will see your phone in the state it is in but if it does it may not require your imei. It can be a pain on win 8 64 but it might work for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667
Is it normal for it to stop at 4% every time?

I know you said you can't get into download mode but maybe try this. I made this guide for when I owned an L9. It worked for my G2 as well. Of course use the kdz for our phone.

Lg makes it damn hard to completely brick a phone. I've seen so many people resurrect their phones from some of the dumbest sh!t you could do. There's a way just have to find it. If the phone's recognized by adb then someone could dump the boot, recovery, downloadmode partions and you could flash them back. You can try all the unbricking guides. There is a way to fix these 99% of the time I promise, just don't give up.

He tried that tool already. Well it was a modified version of uptest that doesn't require all of the extra steps. I was doing some reading and it looks like most lg phones are capable of adb turned off in charging mode so that's a fantastic idea you have about adb. I have the full kdz dump I can upload the second I get home.

Need help LG Flash Tool doesnt seem to work and now I am stuck with usuable phone

I was on CyanogenMod 12 and wanted to upgrade using the LG Fash Tool with the Marshmellow kdz. But apparently this method is far from beeing safe. On my computer setup (Windows 10) it doesnt seem to finish the upgrade procedure. I am stuck at 11% with 45 minutes already passed. The progress bar on my phone went from 1% to 2% and then back to 1% again. Before I tried to exit download mode which also didnt work. So what can I do now? Is my phone bricked because LG Flash Tool doesnt work correctly?
Edit:
Now I restarted the update procedure and I am stuck at 12% after 20 minutes, so how long is that supposed to take? I am used to Samsung where it takes seconds to upgrade the firmware.
Edit2:
I left it alone, after 50 minutes its a 15% on the computer but at 2% on the phone display, is this normal?!?!
No not normal. Appears to be a problem relating to Win 10. I had the same and fortunately I have a Laptop with Win 8.1 so was able to do the upgrade. I suggest that you try and get access to a PC/Laptop running Win 7/8 or 8.1 and you will resurrect you phone.

I am facing same problem on Windows 10, flash is stuck at 12% since 1 hr. Can you please confirm if windows 8/7 fixed your problem?
Hi, i get my bricked g3 (9008 qhusb) repaired with win10 64 bit two days ago.
So i see no reason why win 7 or 8 should could be work with tools that win10 can not handle.
Try with right click compatibility and start as win7 and admin. Every tool works with that.
To unbrick it was possible to start tools from 2002.

But it looks there are Probs with your laf partition.

If not try lg flash tool. this one with port 41 to use.

Try the repair function with the lg mobile tool. If that doenst work, you get soft bricked.

d855 stuck at boot screen after kdz MM flash

Hello guys,
I need your help on a problem. I've been away from Android development and I can not find a workaround for this. The problem is LG G3 d855 is stuck at boot screen and the led sensors lighting up. Here's what caused the problem:
Today I wanted to upgrade my phone to stock 6.0 to try. I installed a stock 6.0.kdz file by LG Flash Tool 2014. But somehow at installation it said can not connect to server, so I quit the application which I shouldn't have done so. I should've just sit and wait. Anyway, then I lost Download Mode and phone wasn't booting up at all. When I tried to boot up I got the error "boot verification Fail -cause MISMATCH_SIG_LEN". Somehow I managed LG Flash Tool 2014 to see my phone as Qualcomm device and started to install again (it took me briefly 3 hours if anyone ever face some problem or need help, I'll be posting a guide about it) the server error popped up again and I just ignored it and boy it was loading both on my phone and on my computer as well!
However, on the phone the process stopped at 4% and on pc it stopped at 13%. Then I got an error saying something like unexpected error. I tried retry countless times but it didn't work. So I had to say exit and quit the application but somehow, as I disconnected frustrated the phone started to boot, a little droid came up as if it came after each update then the normal screen.
I was quite happy because even the led started to beam up so I was hopeful it would start but however it's stuck now. I tried going into download mode and now I get "boot verification Fail -cause MISMATCH_SIG_LEN" error on there and it just restarts again.
I searched for hours and hours to find a workaround and I'm really desperate! I know if the screen boots up at least, it can not be so bad to fix. Please someone help me!

I didn't had the same issue as you, but had a similiar one (phone didn't get discovered neither by LGUP nor LG Flash Tool). Yesterday I fixed it by following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
In particular the part where you change your device to COM41 in the device manager.
After you get it discovered by LG Flash Tool flash an official KDZ.
Reboot the phone and connect it to your Windows, allow the connection from the phone screen.
It should promt you to install drivers on the computer, do that (they are different from LG Drivers you download from the web mind you)
Now you can change your COM port back to 3 and everything should be fully discoverable by both LGUP and LG Flash Tool.
I think I replied to you on reddit (same photo) Have you tried plugging the phone in while in download mode ? Did you try installing drivers from the internet ? Coz thats how I fixed the same problem you have.

You asked for other people's time to help you, but now you don't have time to explain how you made it work?
Yeah... there MIGHT be other people with the same problem, but why would you care to share.
What an as*hole you are. Another typical new buttuser ruining a great dev community.
exactly

Exactly, here I am running around in circles over this BOOST Stylo 2, just got it with MM 6.0.1 out of the box 2 days ago. I caught the 454.4mb update it has been trying to do! Got that baby downloaded! 1.02gb unzipped and renamed to kdz. Got a script for Terminal that will replace Kingroot's temp root with SuperSU but I am not going to attempt any further until I know LGUP will recognize and flash my .zip the bas****s deem not worth enough to put up for download on LG's site!
I got LGUP to recognize it in download mode, reads out LGLS775 but still says it cannot open it...............
His info on how he got it to work would prolly have solved this dillema..............
oh well

ok had a LG G3 that's done this- as long as you can get download mode it should recover, YOU need to use the LG mobile support tool from LG website ( LG UP sees phone as unknown model ) run LG mobile Support tool and in option choose UPGRADE RECOVERY . follow instructions and allow to start process, it took 57 minutes to repair my phone - it will seem frozen anywhere from 0% to about 22% JUST WAIT IT OUT!! lg up / twrp flashes in 5 to 10 mins -- the LG m.s.t writes block by block and takes 1 hour +
so hints and info took 3 goes to find and start upgrade recovery - error on a couple of attempts. phone seems frozen around 10% and 15% of firmware upload -- go make a coffee drink it, go pee then come back and worry! A watched pot never boils!....

It didn't. It's EVEN MORE broken :'(
I figured out how to get my PC to recognize my D851. Apparently all the LG software didn't like how many COM ports I have. As soon as I unplugged everything else from my PC, the software worked. In this case, it was LG Flash Tool 2014, but I couldn't get any of them to work before.
Try running LGUP as Admin!!! For me it worked!

Hope someone can help me. I flashed a rom for a d855, d855g30 I think, and although I can access download mode all aps for flashing fail saying it's the wrong model number. Even the generic DLL file cant trick it. It still starts booting the rom but boot loops before entering. I no longer have twrp and when I try to do safe mode or factory reset I get a boot validation error or something similar. Just seem to be stuck. Im using a VS985.
One cause of LGUP "UNKNOWN"
While an old thread, it'll be found in searches. For anybody who gets "UNKNOWN" device with LGUP for the LG G3, I found that LGUP for the G3 is often distributed with the wrong DLL file. See the details here, post #11. After installing LGUP, make sure that the "model" subdirectory in the LGUP program directory is the same number as the processor in your phone, in my case c:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\8974 (was 8994 with the "LGUP for G3" I downloaded).
