Question - Unlock bootloader - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys. Happy thanksgving.
I got a question. If you officially unlock the bootloader, the step is
you put your email and your phone's device id in lg developer homepage, and they send you unlock.bin file to you and after you recieve it, you just flash it using cmd and that's all. Right?
So THAT unlock.bin file is different for all different users?
If so, what is the difference?

Each unlock.bin is specific to each device. Probably based on IMEI or something. But there's no way to use someone elses file to unlock your, so no point trying if that's what you had in mind.

How to Unlock Siemens T-mobile SX56

Hi All,
I purchased a Siemens T-mobile unlocked phone on eBay, and just received it.
The phone is not unlocked and it doen not reads my current SIM ,
however on the face of the phone there is one sticker that says , "UNLOCK CODE xxxxxxxx" There is an eight digit number which is the unlocking code i guess.
I wanted to know how to go about unlocking the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

SX56 unlocking
The SX56 is a HTC Wallaby, if I remember right. Since you have an "unlock code" on the device, give that a go first. Insert a sim card that it should not work with (due to the simlock) and start the device. It should then ask for the unlock code. Enter the 8-digit code. If it's accepted, you are done.
I used to have an SX56 (among other wallabies). Some were locked, but I never unlocked any of them with a code. You can do it without that. Grab the "special" rom from the FTP here (/Wallaby/ROM/) and flash it on the device. When it boots up for the first time, it will ask if you want to unlock the phone. Click yes, and it's done. After that you can flash any other rom you like, the lock doesn't come back.
There is also a simple exe that you can run on the device to do the same thing, but some files need to be present on the pda, so it might not work with the current rom.
In any case, you should be able to do it, especially with the code and all.
I want that program please

Need aboot image from an unlocked bootloader and a non unlocked bootloader

Hi. As the title says. Please I need someone (any version) that had same version (LP) and had root first and pulled aboot without unlocking bootloader and after that an image of the same device, on same version with the unlocked bootloader.
Also this helps:
If you unlocked. send me your unlock key and in a private message your device id and IMEI.

May i Ask you why ?
looks like he is looking for something around to help the locked devices to get unlocked unofficially
i hope anyone will help
Yeah, probably run a diff between locked/unlocked to see if any light can be shed for those who can't officially unlock
That is true I want to analize the partitions and to see if I can find any hash rule for making the unlock.bin. That s why i asked imei and device id in private. Do not worry all your info will be confidential.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA-Developers mobile app
i really wish you can make it stuck with boot loader locked is really silly
Hello
How is progressing this?
Thx

LMG820UM AT&T "permanently locked" - Android 9

In order to have it Unlocked:
a) Can I extract the ROM of this device, have a kdz file and flash it again with that?
b) Was the booloader for this model released ?
c) Is there any other way, no matter risk to try to unlock it?
Thanks in advances.:good:
Edit 1:
"Users with the AT&T variant who are stuck on pie: temp root only works on android 10, as such you will unfortunately not be able to bootloader unlock your device. The firehose may leak at some point in a few months, and you will be able to unlock (and update manually) if it does."
That unlock is what I'm referring here?
Edit 2:
LG build a phone with specific hardware for AT&T? I think that no, that is not cost efficient... what LG do it's factory the LG G8, and next, ROM's are placed by seller like AT&T or Verizon, etc. AT&T use a quantum pc to do that... come on guys...
I know that LGUP could look sophisticated from some one, but real tools works on line command on linux... so if it's not there any way to hard flash a phone like this with a command line tool, with all the risks that a tasks like that involve, let's close this forum.
It's IMPOSIBLE that such tool be out of knowledge of legacy members of this forum... what happened here?

Question Why can't I unlock my bootloader on a LE2123 software?

Greetings everyone, I've been using my device for about four months now on a stock firmware and lately got bored of the Oxygen OS so I've decided to give custom roms a try, I opened the developer settings, went for the oem unlock, enabled it, got debugging enabled also, went to fastboot mode and tried both fastboot oem unlock and fastboot flashing unlock with no luck. It asks me for an unlock token. I know for a fact I'm not on a TMO software, I'm running LE2123 with a locked bootloader and I've never touched firmware or never converted my phone from a certain software version. I've filled a form on the oneplus' token unlock website and now waiting for an unlock.bin.
My question is how even the seller I got the phone from converted TMO to LE2123 without an unlocked bootloader? How am I unable to unlock my bootloader on a EU firmware and will there ever be a possible brick if I used the unlock bin on a LE2123 rather than a TMO 2127? Is there a way to convert an EU firmware to Global so that I'll have a chance unlock my bootloader?

This same exact thing just happened to another guy. He found out his rear sticker was indeed showing LE2127. To my (our) knowledge, only the le2127 needs an unlock token and was the only carrier branded 9P at all. While you didn't change anything, it's likely the seller did before you purchased it. Check your back sticker.
You can convert Le2127 to Le2123 without unlocked bootloader using the Tmo->Eu conversion tool. You may need to run that same MSM tool (or a custom one for different targets) and bypass the token unlock.bin or wait for OnePlus reply with your unlock.bin. To further confuse this, I've read that the automated tool on OnePlus website is providing the wrong unlock.bin and people are using support email or support chat to get the right one.
It is possible to unlock the bootloader without the token, while on oos11, using the tmo->eu msm conversion tool
There's always potentials for bricks when flashing anything. Make appropriate backups of partitions with the msm tool.
And yes, it's possible to go from Eu to Global. But I think you should try to run the Tmo->Eu msm tool if you're looking to bypass the token. You may want to go back to stock Tmo using the regular Tmo msm tool first. If both the stock Tmo MSM tool and Tmo->Eu msm conversion tools don't work, you may need a custom MSM tool for target change but hopefully that's not required for this situation

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I really did search the forum about the problem I'm running and couldn't find a solution, well should've looked deeper I guess. Will look into the article you mentioned.
