Hello, everybody. I never post on XDA because I hate the notification that you get whenever you try to post on development topics. Anyway, I noticed that an update for the phone has been released and I use CM 12.1 mostly and would like to know a couple of things:
-Does that version includes a new IFWI?
-Is there any possibility that a flashable zip can be created, like on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...-unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-1-nightly-t3164144
I do not want to install stock to update the IFWI and then go back to cyanogenmod, that is why I ask. If there's not response I might end up creating a flashable zip myself.
Take care, happy holidays by the way.
I'm on stock so I could probably answer some of questions but what is IFWI?
The file IFWI is same as .97, no changes has have been made.
Anyone using .139 have xposed installed?

Xposed framework installer doesn't work for me( stuck in the boot screen), I had to install temporary CWM to make it work.

Thanks, didn't want to go to stock just to update the IFWI. As per my understanding, that's firmware provided by Intel, not sure if related to modem or camera, but I think it's good to be up to date.

Yes that's correct IFWI actually stands for Integrated Firmware Image it can actually include multiple component elements in the one IFWI package.
I have xposed working now on 139, dont forget the busybox to install, or else will not work

It replaces a few libraries. I did not try it out, but one of these libraries just got updated in http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/104410/. Therefore, it may be that video sending will work also with stock CyanogenMod. Can someone check this?

Hey guys!
In order to make it clear where one can get official Marshmallow for the Alcatel Idol 3 5.5, I decided to make this thread!
Big thanks to [MENTION]Alek Dev[/MENTION],who managed to share an update.zip from a 6045I owner.
The original update.zip would remove fastboot commands,so it made installing TWRP and getting root impossible.
However, thanks to [MENTION]murigny64[/MENTION] ,we managed to make the zip not delete the TWRP recovery while installing. Therefore, now we can have Marshmallow and TWRP!
I suggest you backup your partitions(especially the radio one, since some users lost 4G after installing the firmware of a American model-6045I) and HERE is the post explaining it all!
Without further ado,here it is!
Just make a factory reset after the rom boots!
Big thanks to famewolf for creating flashable variant-specific zips containing our modems, found HERE
Also,to get root, you have to type this command in the TWRP terminal:
Code:
echo SYSTEMLESS=true >> /data/.supersu
,reboot recovery and flash
this specific version of SuperSU!
Aaaaaand,to be able to switch between fastboot capabilities and MM,go HERE
Hi, can i install in 6045y? If "yes" can u put the steps, i have 5.0 stock

Edit the build.prop. And no,just flash the zip. Then do a factory reset and flash SuperSU. On Marshmallow it's impossible to isntall SuperSU into system,so it has to go into the data folder. So,if you do a factory reset after installing SuperSU,you will lose root.

So, just to clarify, just flash the Marshmallow update file from this thread with TWRP? Can I flash it over CM 12.1 or should I factory wipe, then flash?

Read the thread. It all writes what you have asked for.
Sorry, it was answered in the other thread.
So, first flash M, then factory reset after the initial boot. Then install the 2.62 super su from the first post.
Also I've read that some users got md5 error. Maybe they have to flash the 3.0.0-1 TWRP by Unjustified Dev.
In order to have the forum cleaner, I open this new thread. This ROM isn't made by me, this is the original post where the ROM comes from: http://bbs.nubia.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=989561

I remember the kernel and recovery must support f2fs then f2fs works. I guess this kernel doesn't now. The developer is a Chinese and no one knows if he will read this thread.
Arceoxis - I am in exactly the same position. Now boots straight into fastboot. I tried re-unlocking the boatloader. Device state shows as being locked. TWRP still accessible so I have options.
I was running the previous RR and device was unlocked, rooted and running fine. Looks like something in the flash is causing the phone to be re-locked? For info I did also flash the updated debloat.
EDIT: Clearing system, Data etc solved the problem. I realise that the instructions are clear - but this doesn't usually apply when updating to the same ROM.

Hey guys, is there any possibility to add an EIS to a custom Rom? Just curious about.
This is a beta rom so as the name implies you may encounter various problems/bugs.
Fastboot (unlocked bootloader)(erases all your internal storage):
http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.3.1/scor....1_20180301.0000.00_8.0_global_7127f41234.tgz
Recovery (TWRP and unlocked bootloader)(full wipe highly recommended):
http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.3.1/miui_MINote2Global_8.3.1_74f30a299a_8.0.zip
The update has been suspended at the moment but download links are still working... Anyway you flash the packages at your own risk, I don't assume any responsibilities for any bricked or exploded devices! This is only for sharing purposes!
Thank I very much for sharing

Well if you like risking a hard brick you can download that file, rename it update.zip and put it in the folder downloaded_rom. Then go to the miui updater app and it should see it as an update and the installation will start. No risk, no fun... I used the option in the updater and it doesn't allow me to install it. Probably because I need special privileges... In any case, these are excellent news for custom ROMs
Edit: previous to the installation of the .ZIP it asks me to be connected to the internet... It can't be connected without being connected to the internet. So definitely they check if the user is allowed to install it.
Anyways. Anyone using the ROM can give some feedback, please?
Installed by twrp and running perfect ... for now no failure
routed with magisk 16.0
So installed last TWRP, wiped all data and storage for decryption, all went ok, inastalled oreo beta rom and magisc 16, during booting phone first get encrypted again and then rom boots up. Restarting back to TWRP is asking for password again to decrypt phone. So because of that I get back to nougat and TWRP 3.1.1.0 because that is only one that is not asking password. So please help and inlight me what I was doing wrong.

You have to be in the Beta Team to install those packages with the updater app. The method the Super Moderator recommended me is fastboot because it's an android version update. The ROM worked fine in the first day , no important bug that can prevent it to be a daily driver.
