New update(UL-K00Z-WW-6.3.9.0) for Asus FonePAD7 M175CG K00Z seems to be corrupted. My Device Boot-looped twice due to update (OTA / Manual).
Recovered thru below process
* Downloaded ME175CG_all_WW_user_V6.3.7.raw
* Transferred Raw file to the root of EXTERNAL SD card
* rebooted into DROIDBOOT mode with Vol-Up + Power
* Selected Factory Reset
* waited till it boots up then turned it off again
* again rebooted into DROIDBOOT mode with Vol-Up + Power
* selected SD Download
* Waited till the process to get complete.
Above brought back my dead device to Live - still all my data lost

DHD Stuck on Green HTC with White background - NO Recovery Menu - is it a permabrick?

Right,
My DHD's speaker died a couple of weeks ago, so, sent it away to 3 for a repair.
The set I had received from 3 originally was fully unbranded and unlocked to all networks.
After I received it yesterday, they had flashed it to a 3 Rom, and it was now locked to 3 only.
I used Visionary to root it, then Easy Radio tool to s-off and simunlockit.
Then, as per the usual, decided to flash it with a custom rom. Downloaded LeeDroid 3.0.3, installed CWM, installed CWM recovery, used CWM to install the LeeDroid.
It went thru the installation routine, booted, and since the, is stuck at the whitebackground/Greeen text HTC screen.
I've tried to get into reocvery mode by pressing vol down and powering on, oesnt work, it is as it the Leedroid rom as delete all that completely.
I've tried using 1.15.405 test rom and that doesn't find the phone either.
Tried ADB, but it doesn't find the device either.
The only thing I see in Device Manager when I connect the phone to my laptop is HTC Android Phone USB Device, USB Mass Storage Device and a USB Composite Device.
Is there any other way to connect to the phone?
Riz
Hi,
Could you remove the battery, reinsert. Then plug into your computer, don't turn it on just yet.
Then run
Code:
adb devices
And try this.
Take your battery out
Leave your device for 5 minutes
Put battery back in
Hold volume down
Hold power
Select recovery
Done!
...
Profit!
Thanks guys,
at work just now, will try the tips when I get home - however, I did try removing the battery, etc last night, though not for more than 10 seconds. Haven't tried adb devices with the phone switched off.
Wish me luck.
Riz
Thanks a gazillion guys...
Its worked... I did ADB devices..got the following:
C:\Desktop\Radio flash>adb devices
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
HT0A5RX00822 recovery
The issued adb reboot recovery and lo behold, the familiar recovery screen appeared!!!.
I then flash LeeDroid again and the phone is working fine... EXCEPT... 3 or HTC, whoever had replaced the internal speaker of the phone, have returned it to me with the volume - button not working, and I guess that why I wasn't able to boot into recovery by pressing volume down and powering up.
Guess it backs to 3 tomorrow to be sent away .
Thanks again.

Do not have 'factory reset' option in Droidboot

I have Asus Fonepad 7 (Model: K012 FE170CG). It won't turn on and stuck on Asus boot logo. So I went to Droidboot (Volume Up + Power), but I can't see Factory Reset option which many tutorials seems to suggest. I have attached the pic for reference
I tried 'Recovery', but it just displays 'Error', that Android bot lying down and no other information. I tried 'Wipe Data', after that it reboots, but gets stuck again. So what shall I do?
Edit: Downloaded firmware file, kept that in root of SD Card. Went to Droidboot > Recovery, same issue. It just displayed error and restarted.
