Greetings.
My problem is quite curious - and so far I was unable to find exact case on those forums :
When I installed ICS on my DHD ( Blackout ICS, AospX BR4 BR5, also tried JB - Jellytime beta 14) and installed WIFIX
some time after turning WiFi cellphone slowdowns (any button pressed takes minutes to react) and after a while everything comes to complete halt
Sometimes it occures few seconds after turning on wifi , sometimes it gets after performing any actions ,and there is 100% chance that it will get stuck when going to sleep ( Few times tested it while listening to MP3 - suddenly music stopped and everything was dead).
When I go back to my original software, everything is working as intended - A pity as I really like ICS and JB
When I was flashing those roms always did Data wipe , Cache wipe and Dalvik wipe, not to mention that I saw Blackout install doing format on my partitions.
Overclocking and Underclocking don't change anything on the phone.
Edit : Installed Rom : Nik Project X v4.1 - insteald of hanging, it now resets itself every so often when wifi is on. After few restarts , it have problem with turning on WiFi
Dont flash wifix.
Include format all partitions except sd card.
Chech battery cover.
Reset router.
Sent from a dream.
same problem
Hi,
I have the same problem as you. Have you solve it?
After installing ICS, whenver i turn on my wifi and surf/download, it will restart
But if i turn off my wifi, no issue. It won't restart for whole day.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
I have a Lenovo Vibe P1a42 for more than a year now; about 2 weeks ago it started taking very long boot times 10 to 30 minutes.
It has the latest stock update, I've never rooted it or installed any other ROMs.
When the device pass the boot and start, it works fine as it was before.
I did a factory reset yesterday, on the reset process it took the normal time for a first boot, but again it took about 10 minutes to boot after I installed the apps which took only about 2GB of the internal phone storage, I removed the SD to make sure it's not a memory problem.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
I too have the same problem since 2 weeks. Any solution for this?
I solved the problem yesterday

If your problem is like mine then you have "TrueCaller" installed, if you do then remove it.
Well I did a factory reset twice until I figured it out, so I advice you to format your microSD card and remove it first, then do a factory reset then reboot the "Vibe P1" frequently while making settings changes to confirm that it reboots quickly (do that without the microSD), then install your apps - few of them every time then reboot, after installing all your important apps. Now, start some of them and adjust your apps settings as you want them then reboot until you finish all the important apps, if the reboot process is quick then your done, but leave the apps that you suspect to the end; in this case "TrueCaller" then reboot after setting them as you prefer, if the problem occur again then uninstall "TrueCaller" or just don't install it if it's not important to you, if you really want it then you either have to install a different app or go through the "TrueCaller" settings "THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CONTROL THE CHARGING OR POWER", and change them until your reboot is quick again.
If you don't have "TrueCaller", then do the above process and while setting your apps check if any of them has an option that's related to power or charging.
So i just updated my moto z play to OREO via the official OTA last month. Since then i've been experiencing bad battery life. I already did a factory reset and monitored the battery with just the stock apps installed and the battery bug "system ui' is always the culprit. Booted to safe mode and that bug is gone.
So here is my scenario
Safe Mode: SYSTEM UI bug NOT PRESENT
Normal Mode with NO third party apps: SYSTEM UI BUG STILL PRESENT
I can maybe conclude that it was the OREO update that was causing this. Maybe a corrupt download or something.
Issues i'm facing
1.Battery bug "system ui' always on top of my battery charts
2.Navigation bar changing positions each unlock, some say its an oreo feature to prevent burn in but when i booted to safe mode the nav bars are not changing positions. So which is which?
3. Wifi sometimes doesn't wanna turn on, if i hit turn on it just resets back to off regardless. Needs a phone restart to work again.
4. Interface sometimes freezes and lags while scrolling.
My question is that is it possible to re install the stock oreo update AGAIN even if i'm already on official 8.0? I'm not rooted and never did rooted my z play. Already did multiple factory resets but the same scenario above happens. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I knew the soak test were out but did not know that Oreo release was available ota. It will change your booltloaders. Every time I google for oreo I get a bunch of problems listed but you may find more help there than here since this tends more toward custom ROMs. Make sure none of the apps you have added are loading things...
Hi All, my redmi 5a auto rotate doesn't work, I don't know why but I've experienced a tragedy that maybe connected with this problem.
I use AOSP Extended ROM for Rolex in my Redmi 5A Device, as long as I use it I don't have any problem, but yesterday I've tried to restore my kernel into this ROM Stock Kernel ( I Use Direwolf Unified Before, Many Times I Try Other Kernel Also But And Never Had Such A Tragedy) After I Restored the original kernel, then I wipe my dalvik and cache as usual, BUT, Suddenly The Boot animation Stucked before it show's the AEX Logo, So I Think It Was A Bootloop Simple Problem, Than I Reinstalled My AOSP Extended OS, Than Something Happened, Even Since The First Boot It's Stucked At The Same Point, Than I Tried To Re-flash it again, and after that it still like that, so I was thinking that my External Memory Data Was Corrupted, So I Tried To Copy The File Directly From My PC To My USB OTG (I copied same AOSP ROM) than I reflash it but it still like before, than i start thinking if this ROM file (in my PC and SD card) is corrupted, so I tried to install PE ROM, But The Result Is Still Same As Before, Stucked At Boot Animation Than Forced Shutdown.
Well after that I think my device is get a serious problem such as hard brick or soft brick, than I tried to do clean flash to MIUI 10 Fastboot ROM With My PC, BUT the time elapsed is more long than usually (About 20 minute) waiting for booting and finally my device is normal, so I immediately install TWRP Custom Recovery (3.2.3-1 by FenFern) And Installing AOSP ROM Again (I Swear I Love This ROM) Everything seems normal no problem, restoring app, rooting, personalization, and etc.
Well the problem with auto rotate is coming when I see some funny videos on YouTube, my devices ONLY CAN ROTATE TO THE LEFT, AND CAN'T ROTATE AUTOMATICALLY AND CAN'T ROTATE TO THE RIGHT SIDE, I tried many game's app and watching some anime's in video player, Even If I Switch to auto rotate mode.

Well yeah it's working, except the auto rotate
Hello everyone.
I'm currently with an annoying issue:
My Samsung Galaxy S9 (non-rooted) is randomly rebooting only while idle.
Whenever I'm charging, playing or perform any interactive activity, the phone works as it has been working for the past 2 years.
As soon as I left it idle for a while, it simply reboots. Usually do not take more than an hour for the reboot to happen.
Already performed a facory reset, cleared cache, force shutdown (power + volume down), worked on safe mode and nothing seems to lead me to the root cause.
It started on tuesday (December 29th @2020).
Thanks in advance,
Caio
I have had a similar problem for a long time. Sometimes my Galaxy has given to restart without stopping as far as it wants ... Once it happened to me that for a day it did not stop restarting after installing the Google assistant, only by entering safe mode and deleting it I could solve it .. . And one of the last was that I changed the CSC and the mobile just did not stop restarting, even after downloading and reloading it, I deleted and formatted absolutely everything and I could not use the mobile normally ... After several tests I realized that it restarted after unlocking, so I deactivated the passwords and fingerprint but it did not work, so it occurred to me to install another launcher and problem solved. I have no idea why this is happening to me, maybe is an error in the internal memory due to a bug in the firmware (?)... Anyway, I had read some time ago that there were similar problems caused by a GPU failure in the Snapdragon models, but I no idea.

I already use Nova Launcher, so I dont think this will fix my problem. Now its taking more time between rebooting cycles buts its still there.
I guess my last attempt will be to flash a stock ROM and see if it works.

reflash firmware via Odin. gert FW(firmware) from sammobile.com/firmware and use SamFirm to download, as it downloads 4x faster than from thr site directly. When flashing, use the HOME_CSC vs just the CSC file, as the csc factory resets whereas home_csc keeps your files and settings etc etc. If that doesnt fix it, you have a hardware issue(IMO, at least, and ive been rooting samsungs for a decade). If you have a hardware issue, id get it as good as i could and use the trade-in specials sammy has going
